Well located small site, perfect for a water based escape. Spacious accommodation which was clean and comfortable. Some areas were in need of a bit of attention but staying at the end of season this is something we have seen elsewhere and nothing that had any real impact on the comfort of our stay. Super friendly staff who were welcoming & helpful. Great directions for trips both on foot & water. We loved the pedestrian ferry and the ease of hiring a boat for days out without having to get the car out - a real bonus for a UK break. We like to visit different places but would definitely consider a return trip in future.

We stayed in the "Ellingham" and were really impressed with it. So new and well equipped, the only thing missing was placemats for the dining table. Lovely comfy beds and very clean Now for the negatives, i was very stressed on arrival having negotiated the single track road, and having asked if thst was the only way in, took the decision tp stay on park for the duration. However, on exiting this morning, I followed another car leaving and turned immediately left on albeit another narrow lane but with much more pull in places and grass verges with better visibilty. I am actually quite angry that we confined ourselves to the park on the basis of having to negotiate the single track lane. Even the gardener didnt say there was another way out. We hadnt brought enough food for the 4 nights and the shop was so poorly stocked, that wasnt an option, so we had to rely on family near Gt Yarmouth to bring food in! We went to the Waveney Inn one night and couldnt wait to get out. There was no warning that dogs were allowed in, so we had 2 on the table next to us barking, which is unacceptable when you could be allergic or scared of dogs and want a relaxing meal.. the food was overpriced for what it was and not very nice and despite knocking £4 off the bill, was still expensive for cafeteria food. As lovely as our lodge was and the view, there wasnt anywhere really to walk along the river unless we wanted to hop on the foot ferry, and we felt a bit trapped I wont for these reasons be recommending this place on Trip advisor

Very pleased with our lodge, it was clean and tidy on arrival, with suitable covid considerations, would be happy to stay in same lodge again, although we much prefer to holiday abroad.

A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY WHICH IS WELL RUN AND BEAUTIFUL. WE WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED MORE INFORMATION BEFOREHAND ON EQUIPMENT IN THE VARIOUS ACCOMODATIONS. WE WERE A LARGE PARTY OF 25+ BUT DIDNT EAT OR DRINK ON THE PREMISES BECAUSE UNCLEAR OF RULES, NO ACCESS UNLESS BOOKED, IT WASNT CLEAR.

I did absolutely love this place. It gives all you need from camping site, privacy, being near nature and basic amenities. We choose to stay in tent- our place was beautiful near water with view to wild fields, close to reception and showers/toilets yet growing trees and grass gives that privacy you need. Definitely recommend it for family stay or just to get a decent rest being close to nature.

Lovely place with good facilities. Some of the roads are a bit narrow to get to but I guess that's what you get in the middle of nowhere. My only gripe was the 10pm no noise policy was not inforced, therefore we had to put up with music from another caravan until gone 11pm. Please if you are going to get people to sign a waiver then at least inforce it.

How amazing was our holiday, we were devastated when our camper broke down just before we were due to arrive, they were brilliant, changed our pitch to a tent pitch and we had a beautiful spot overlooking the Marina, I really can't fault the campsite, spotlessly clean, love the fact the toilet and shower are together in separate units, so spacious and you can change temp of shower, ferry takes you over to the Carlton Marshes, well worth the 20 min walk to The Ivy House Hotel for a cream tea or glass of wine, we went out most days, Natural beach in Suffolk is only a short drive and just beautiful, we have had an amazing time, plan on booking again and bringing family with us, you can hire a boat for the day at the campsite, well work the money, this campsite got ten out of ten for us....thankyou

Lovely lodge hot tub superb. Niggly things cob webs off the lights in the kitchen so I would assume not cleaned thoroughly. Used towel from previous people hung on back of bedroom door. On site shop very very poor especially when nearest supermarket quite a drive away could be improved. All staff very very friendly hired a boat fir the day excellent. Young man who came to clean the hot tub very nice and friendly. All in all an excellent shirt break.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Lodge was great. Very clean and welcoming. The hot tub was a great addition. We ate in the restaurant on three evenings and one breakfast and all the food was delicious and huge portions. We also hired a day boat and went off exploring for a day. But the thing that really made it special was the staff. Everyone we met from the lady at reception to the staff in the restaurant, who were working flat out most of the time, the lovely young man dealing with the boat hire and the man that came to clean the hot tub every morning were all so friendly and helpful.
