“The continual price gouging weekly on products is appuling not 5 cents $1 or more .......their mud cakes have shrunk to half what they were but have increased in price $6.50 for rubbish and I could go on n onyeah you are really looking after your customers.
Let's not get into NO SERVICE”
“I went to my Local Woolworths in Perth today (Easter Monday) to buy some more Hot Cross buns……guess what…. NONE IN THE STORE!
Their EXCUSE..transport problems. Well so much for the FRESH FOOD PEOPLE! Our so called fresh buns are bought in to WA from Melbourne!
To think they have been selling Hot Cross buns since JANUARY and here we are EASTER and none in their store. Get your act together Woolworths!”
“Fresh food people...sure in a paralel universe.Had to return a pack of unfresh chicken and battle my way through Woolworths staff who refused to give me a refund even if its in their policy.I guess they never read it.) Later , got telephone call from area manager Murat who instead of embracing me as a customer and help with the solution , started to defend his staff and insinuate that I somehow caused a trouble in the store. Never shop with these con artists again. But why am I surprised? After watching the interview with Woolworths CEO , i have no questions remained.)”
“I just purchased some Australian Black Plums marked ‘Red Leaf 4039’ which are the absolute worst plums I have ever had - taste is of chemicals only, bloody disgusting Woolworths”
“Did an online order on 16 February for delivery 17 February. All my dairy, was packed in with the grocery products and hot. My frozen goods were warm. The driver said that the trucks air conditioning unit had not worked all day. He delivered my order at 7pm.
All my orders came from Wodonga.
The last 4 orders have been wrong or very late delivery. Customer service at all levels does not exist.”
“You talk about price gauging you only need to know a few itrms and check on how prices vary ,have you seen the smaller container of cottees cordial is near as expensibe prr one large cordial i seen 4.50 for the big one and i thought woolies id listening then today its 5.50 its price gauging shame on you woolies i hope the gorverment can fine you mega bucks for stealing our monry like so”
“Absolutely terrible, order didnt arrive no explanation, will send it the following day, a time was given, email was sent to confirm time, tbat was entered incorrectly, eventually deluvery was recieved, very indifierenr ,non communtive driver, the experience was terrible.Oh I forgot, they gave me a 2p.00 gift voucher for my inconvience, what insult.”
“Two days ago, my wife and I ordered groceries online for the first time. Delivery was scheduled for between 8 am and 1 pm. We are old and retired pensioners.
A Woolworths vehicle arrived at 1.20 pm. It parked 2 buildings away. The driver remained in the vehicle. He didn't get out. I waited on my balcony and the Driver drove off. Tracking the order, we were advised that no one answered which is lies. Now we are without food for the Australia Day public holidays. Needless to say, we asked for a complete refund as they couldn't advise of a delivery date. The refund will take 5 business days.
Probably the most woeful service I have ever received. Coles gives a time slot, arrives and delivers to our doorstep. This was the first and last time we tried delivery of groceries from Woolworths. It is obviously the last time.”
“A legitimate PayPal dispute with Woolworths found in my favour in 2023… today i made an online order - they took my payment then cancelled my order. When I called to find out why? I was told it was cancelled because they had had to reimburse me for the PayPal dispute made last year. I will never recommend Woolworths and never step foot inside a store again.”
“I was after an Australian flag but told we don’t sell anything Australian like that. So you have lost my patriotism after shopping with you for more than 40 years and also , I hope many other Australians , and the week excuse of the items not selling well is is just that a pathetic excuse . Not happy Jan.”
“Woolworths can stick. I will buy my Australia day stuff from Drakes & whoever else sells it. Just because they are a big company, who wouldn't survive without us buying their products, doesn't give them the right to try to tell us where & what we can buy to celebrate out great country on 26th January. They should keep there opinion to themselves as this us still a free country. Coles is my new shop of choice now, like alot of other people”
“I never knew that Woolworths sold political curation. Last time I looked at our constitution corporations didn't have a vote. Not stocking Australia Day merchandise is the same error you made in the Voice - the arrogant view that you make the decision for your customers. I just made my choice and shopped at Coles. You are too arrogant and too big with 37% market share and need to be broken up.”
“After Woolworth's stance on Australia Day, I have taken my business to COLES. I refuse to support an organization that doesnt allow me the freedom to celebrate what I want to celebrate. This wokeness will cost Woolworths dearly and I hope many more customers stop using them.”
“Absolutely disgusted that Australia Day merchandise cannot be purchased. Stop supporting ’woke’ issues! Some Australians are patriotic and we still want to celebrate Australia Day with our kids! Our family has a Woolworths in our local centre at Watergardens. I’ll be boycotting it and driving the 6km to Coles. Woolworths needs to stop making decisions for the majority of the population.”
“I haven’t had a bad experience but I’m really disappointed with the add that shames the young man by his mother. He does a great job at the checkout but mum shames him. No mother would ever shame their wonderful son like that. That add makes me really angry every time I see it.”
“In George, I made two orders in this last week before Christmas 2023 – one large, and one smaller – and both have not been delivered, though my credit card has been debited. The employees that do the delivering either: do not seem to be able to read, or really DO NOT CARE whether the customers orders arrive, even though delivery instructions with telephone numbers were clearly given on the website when the order was made. Woolworth's reputation is at stake due to to the people employed for their delivery service. The large first order was cancelled from my side as the recipients could not wait any longer, but the second order, which I requested to be delivered, is still nowhere to be found. The Customer Care person said he would email me concerning it, and has not done so. This service is totally unacceptable. Woolworths needs to rethink concerning the companies they employ to deliver. Trying to order with them online just seems to be a lost cause.”
