Ordered fully integrated dishwasher with installation service. Asked them to put cupboard door on when finished. First thing fitter says 'we might not be able to do it (not sure if he meant just door or installation), as we're not allowed to carry cutting equipment. It's a poor service to be honest.' I thought this is not a good start and my impression was that they just couldn't be arsed. I said I have paid £80 for this service and want a good job. I left them to it and a few moments later he nonchalantly said they couldn't get it out. There had been a leak at some point which had expanded the chipboard and now the dishwasher was stuck there. Fair enough I thought, but he didn't offer any possible solutions other than get someone else out. I can't say just how frustrating it was. For 80 quid would have thought they could overcome this problem. No 'can do' attitude at all. Then he wanted me to tick an option that said service was refused and sign it. He said I had to tick a box and that he needed a signature. I wasn't very happy to do this as not really true. Felt I had to send the whole thing back.. what's the point of having a dishwasher if I can't use it? I wanted to raise a complaint about it via phone but an automated voice said this call will cost £6 so hung up. Called customer service and told them what the fitter had said. She said ' they don't carry cutting equipment because there's no reason for them to be cutting anything.' Not what the fitter said. I didn't say anything but wasn't impressed. Argos are refunding me the money which is one good thing and they do deliver when they say they are going to. Have managed to find a cheaper dishwasher from another company and an independent plumber has quoted me £80 to come and install it. Will see what he says. Overall, the attitude from the beginning was poor so didn't trust them when they said they could not do it after about 5 minutes of looking at it. Will certainly think twice about ordering from these big firms in future.

I have had issues with Argos and their delivery service last year a total joke. Today i had placed an order and realised i had put the wrong delivery address. I contacted Customer Services, with all my details to hand, but there is nothing they can do! This person could see my order details on her screen but could not assist. In this day and age how come!?

Recently ordered a large tu clothing bundle collection was supposed to be 29th june till 6th of July when I didnt receive a text or email for collection I began phoning sainsbury's and argos to enquire where delivery was they reassured me they would let me know when all items arrived only to wake up to an email saying items had been returned to depot due to not being collected now I have to wait upto 7 days for the cash to be back in account and start order all over again which sadly will probably not arrive in time for holidays so resulting in having to spend more cash # unhappily customer

The item I bought had missi g parts, I had to rummage in my garage to find and make do.. Looks like the cheap Chinese labour are lacking education and argos obviously exploits it by using it as a supplier

Following a disastrous experience with a Sharp tall upright freezer, ordered through Argus, we have changed our order to Samsung tall upright freezer. The webpage states the freezer door is reversible and can be left or right handed. Beware, if the freezer is delivered opening the wrong way, it is a CHARGEABLE EXTRA, around £80.00 to have the door reversed. Through ARGOS an engineers visit has been arranged but we must wait for the parts and pay in advance. ARGOS will make a goodwill partial payment towards the cost. To make matters worst the delivery team just dumped the new freezer in our hallway and left, although an unpack and inspect option was included in the delivery instructions. The net result is we have been without a freezer since early December 2018. Unbelievable.

Just been sold the wrong batteries but the sales assistant for the toy dyson ball we bought our young grandson.so not able to use until we can buy the correct ones. We also recently ordered him a ride on tractor which we ordered before his Birthday so it would arrive in time, I was given confirmation of the order and told two dates in which it should arrive out our chosen destination. It never arrived, I was then told by assistant in store, they didn't have any in the main warehouse. Very disappointing service

I was looking for a Peter rabbit costume for my son's world books day activity, found it from Argos website for £12.75 so I paid online and waiting for collection from the store. 10 days after, no news on the collection, phoned them, and I've got told that I missed the window for collection but in fact, the item was never been delivered! Hence, they will make a refund and if I still want the item, I have to reorder it again. So, I did reorder as my son needs it. But only to realise at checkout that the price has jumped to £17!! and for the purchase, it as ready the next morning!! False advertising! This practice is just so wrong on so many levels! Disgusting!

purchased a shower rail holder with head and soap tray.161/7612 the product looks very good... but, comes with no screws, the rail you fix to the wall has gaps behind it (no seal) and the shower hose is a cheap plastic type which you can find in the pound shop. this will leak soon with constant movement.

Have bought a number of items from Argos but have noticed recently that it’s prices for very basic tech items such as printers, are 25% higher than competitors. Tried to ask why but cannot get a reply. Seems like corporate greed to me.

Had xmas presents delivered to my adress. I wasnt in at the time and didnt recieve a text or email advising what time by delivery would arrive. The driver delivered my order to the second adress on my account and advised that i order parcels and am never in and the next time this happens i will be "blocked." I rarely order from argos and have been home for every other delivery. I feel like this was bad customer service

Colwyn Bay Store. Got served by a lovely man, however my second collection was someone else's (I was collecting on their behalf). A lady came out with things and shouted over to me "Fast Track?" I shrugged as I wasn't sure and didn't want to take someone's else's things! The lovely man came with more things and said they were mine, I replied "thanks and sorry I didn't know, as I said it's not my order". The woman continued to gossip round the corner to her colleagues. RUDE! She needs some customer service lessons.. I work in Boots in the same shopping centre and she must have recgonised my uniform. To bad she treated me like dirt! I know Blake from the Colwyn Bay Store, he's an absolute credit to Argos and so lovely. It's a shame not everyone there is like him!!!!

I normally am generally happy with Argos but not of late( A recent price event). I tried to make an order online . The item was stated as not in stock for home or by collection from a store. But the same item was available at the "new" higher price. When I collected this item I was not amused to find that a sticker with a new code number had been stuck over the old code number. Meaning that all along this item HAD been available to purchase at the same store for the lower price. Complained to customer svcs. They said that they were sorry & would issue a refund of the £10 difference. But nothing as yet. Argos I thought that companies were not allowed to do this blatant price fixing?!!

Good for buying but not very good with the ware house staff. Cost £20 to get home plus travel costs and was sent home after 2 hours work because they couldn't find further work.
