Disappointed doesn't even cut it. After shopping for a Christmas tree in-person we couldn't find anything suitable and needed to order online. We came across a beautiful tree on Balsam Hill, placed an order on the 08/12 and ensured delivery would be in time for this weekend (13/12) what with it being close to Christmas and our niece and nephew coming to help up decorate. At 2am this morning we had an email from Balsam Hill saying "We're sorry this order didn't work out as you hoped" as if we had cancelled the order followed by another telling us we would be refunded because it wasn't in stock. They waited 5 working days to tell us our order wasn't available, have offered nothing in the way of apology, and we have to wait for 3-5 working days to receive a refund for a tree worth £300. In the meantime we have no time to arrange another order for this weekend and we can't afford to buy another one in any case because we'll have to wait for the refund. Absolutely appalling customer service and it is safe to say we will not be using this company again the future.

After reading the reviews from unhappy customers...I sure wish I had done my research! We've had our tree for a few years! I was sent a replacement TOP Section the year after my purchase because that section was not as bright as the bottom section! There were not as many lights on the top section as the bottom section! Making the tree beautiful on the bottom and sparse on the top (most important section)! The replacement was exactly the same as the original! This year the lights are very dim and flickering! Customer service today told me that it's normal TO NOT have as many lights on the top of the tree! So ridiculous! So I'm stuck with an expensive tree that is beautiful on the bottom and dimly lit on the top! This is my last purchase from Balsam Hill!!! My advice don't purchase from them!!

THE WORST CHRISTMAS TREE!! Only lasted one Christmas and already having electrical issues with the tree lights dimming, brightening and flickering (which is a known DEFECT with this tree). When I asked for a refund, because a replacement tree was not an option, they were unwilling to accommodate me Waste of money, my time , and our Holidays

Extremely disappointed in our Frasier. The branches are weak and do not support ornaments well. Several of the branches have loose connections to the trunk causing them to sag. We were told there are replacement grommets for these. Instructions indicated that we could "bend the branches to get the desired look". For the price we paid for this tree it seems quite unreasonable to have to do so much work

Do not buy from here. I’ve been fighting getting a refund for a month that they claim to have sent me. At this point I have contacted my attorney because I just don’t know what else to do. My bank has told me the refund never came. They claim it was refunded weeks ago. DO NOT BUY FROM BALSAM HILL!!!!!

Not good I ordered a flip tree the pedal was broken when it came. I was all excited about having a tree to decorate after talking to customer service I have to find a fed x contact them to ship the broken tree back and than they will send a new one mind you this tree is over 100 pounds when I asked for a discount on the tree for the inconvenience I was told that is not how that works when I asked to speak to a manager I was told that would be a bigger inconvenice and it would be hours waiting. Do yourself a favor DO NOT ORDER a BALSAM hill on line go into a store so the return if it is broken can be easily made in the store

You are better off buying a tree from TEMU or walmart!!! I have spent hours of fluffing the tree, but it still looks like a cheap tree!! I am soooooo disappointed!!

I ordered a tree with two day expedited shipping and called to check on delivery tomorrow and was told the tree is unavailable and is not being shipped. I paid for this tree and you have processed my payment without notifying me that it was never available at purchase.

Replacing the Master Bulb is next to impossible. Was considering replacing my small tree with a 7 ft but after the master bulb went out so did part of the string I will never buy another. Also convinced my sister not to go there. Stabbed my thumb once and a finger trying to get the cover. Must have been designed by engineers who received their degree from schmill university in the state of confusion.

I wish I had researched Balsam Hill Customer Service before ordering a tree. My tree was to arrive in 2 boxes. I was charged $1900.00 for the tree and have only received half the tree. The tracking information shows the label was created but no movement of the other half of the tree for 2 weeks. Customer Service just gives you standard answers and getting in touch with a supervisor is almost impossible. I have asked for my money back and am having difficulty with that process. I am going to have to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge.

My tree was gorgeous for the first couple of years. Then lights started going out. Customer service was not helpful and pretty much blew me off. This year, half the multi-colored and half the clear are out. There are also patches of no lights. I tried to call but was on an indefinite hold. Also the hinges on a number of branches appear to be loose so they are drooping down on the next row. I am really really disappointed. When I bought this tree it was $1000+. (My cheapo prelit tree from Home Depot is going strong after the same number of years). Ps I tried to send a picture but it wouldn’t upload.

The tree itself is undeniably beautiful, but the customer service experience has been nothing short of appalling. For a brand that prides itself on quality, the way I was treated when my tree was no longer under warranty was unacceptable. I wasn't even asking for a free replacement—just basic information on how or where to purchase replacement parts for a tree that you still carry in your catalog. I spoke with two customer service agents and remained polite throughout the conversations. Despite this, they made it abundantly clear that they were eager to end the call as quickly as possible. When I asked for simple specifications about the lights—such as strand length or spacing between bulbs—to avoid the painstaking process of removing the lights from the tree, I was met with the dismissive response: "I don't have that information, but you do right in front of you on your tree." This dismissive attitude and lack of support are not what I expected from a company like Balsam Hill. I hope this feedback prompts a serious evaluation of how you handle customer inquiries, especially for loyal customers who invest in your products.

beautiful tree first 3 yrs, now on the 4th year multi lights won't work , no warranty and customer service is terrible, all they tell you after talking to 4 diff. ones is to ck the bulbs for broken or burned out ones. No one will really help you touble shoot. basically they just want you to buy another one.

What a disaster, it took them a week to tell us that the 1500 sollar tree we ordered was out of stock, management should do something but they have our tree in an older model that is the exact same price, what a crock and poorly run business. They did absolutely nothing to make this right, if you considering, get it from someone else!

False advertising, my wife and I ordered the 7.5 foot Frazier for Styled tree. We sure were disappointed when it arrived as the shape is correct but realistic looking no way. The branches are weak and do not support ornaments well. For the price we paid for this tree it is extremely disappointing.

I thought I was purchasing the best, NOT!! After a short five years a string of lights went out. I spent a significant amount of time changing fuses and checking bulbs, no good. Suffered with it. This year one strand in each of the three sections were out. Spent three hours attempting to resolve. No go. Tree is now in the trash. When Balsam Hill emailed me after seeing the poor review, all they wanted to do is get me back on their website and order another tree. Ya Right?? For the price of this tree you can buy 3 at a discount store. At least if they lasted only five years you wouldn't be upset.

This is the worst tree. Every year when I put it up, I again say how much I hate this tree. Lights are always going out. It does not look real like they claim. I have had it 3 years. I have another tree that I have had for 20 years, which did not cost near as much, and looks much better. I will never buy from Balsam Hill again.

After the second year, I had problems. They sent me a new controller and I am hopeful that it will solve the problems. It took me over 1 hour with customer service to diagnose the problem. I am sorry I bought one.

First let me start by saying I loved my tree, it was beautiful the first 3 years, very easy to assemble. It was a prelit tree, when you attach each section, it lights up. I called the company last year, the 4th year, warranty was only good for 3 years, because I noticed we had a lot of lights out. Ultimately, after trying several things, the man I spoke with was unable to resolve the problem. This year more lights are out so I called again. After chatting about the problem the person told me it sounded like a strand was out (even though the lights that were out spanned all sections) to remove the strand and add my own lights. I tried to remove the strand and when I got to the plug and unplugged it other lights went out. So now I have a partial strand removed only to find out that the advice given was incorrect. So I called and was told I shouldn’t have tried to remove the strand. I also asked why my master bulbs would blink off every time I tried to replace one and was told I have to unplug the tree first then replace it. So I wanted to place an order for more master bulbs…THEY DON’T HAVE ANY and expect them later this month. It is 5 weeks into Christmas and they DON’T HAVE ANY MASTER BULBS, the ones that light up the strand. This is unexceptionable. The trees are too sensitive, if a bulb goes out and you don’t notice and change it quickly it causes other bulbs to burn out, you have to unplug the tree to change the master bulb, if you don’t it burns out the new bulb and now this close to Christmas they don’t have any master bulbs. Very disappointed, these trees are too expensive to have this kind of trouble, conveniently after the warranty has expired! Now I have a tree with a partial string of lights disconnected from the branches and hanging from the tree, no master bulb to rectify some of the problem and the tree should’ve been fully decorated by now! Again, very disappointed, no real help from customer service, no interest in any compensation. I used live chat which told me to remove the strand and telephone who told me I shouldn’t have removed the strand and to unplug the tree to replace the master bulb.
