we bought the flocked tree. first year everything was great. by about the third or fourth year whole strings of lights were going out. I replaced all the light bulbs, replaced the "master bulb and fuse and they still don’t work. called customer service and of course the tree is out of warranty- big surprise. and of course they don't sell the master bulb and the normal lights are not a standard replacement that someone like walmart sells so you can only buy them through balsam hill. well this year after dealing with a failed string we wove in a string bought from walmart. three days later after the tree was fully decorated the last string burnt out. now we have to undo the decorations, buy a replacement string and thread it through the branches. NEVER buy a pre-lit tree from them!

We received a tree with fairy lights as a gift 4 years ago. Now 2 strands have gone out and customer service (can hardly be called that) told us too bad there’s nothing they can do. Worst customer experience I have ever had. Personally I will never buy anything from Balsam Hill again. Please be aware if you are upgrading to the fairy lights that there is no way to troubleshoot when they go out.

Purchased the tree four years ago, after five hours of fluffing the tree still has holes. Last year two sections of lights went out, this year two more. The only section of lights that now work are in the very top. This is absolutely ridiculous for the amount of money that was spent. Customer Service was rude and no help at all. Do not waste your money or time with this company!!

I have purchased garlands and wreaths from Balsam Hill. The items are only used indoors to decorate the tops of cabinets and doorways. The items are then stored in their original boxes and kept in the house. This year, several of the garlands had lights out in several sections. I contacted customer service and was told it was probably a bulb or the wiring. Duh. Really? Before discovering this, I purchased a garland, of the same design, to add to the railing. When I discovered the others weren't working I contacted Balsam Hill to ask for an exchange. The new box had not been opened. Well, wouldn't you know it, they can't do anything because it's after thirty days. Ewell, I'm done with the company.

I spoke with customer service because I wanted a twinkle light Christmas tree. Instead I was sold a clear light and colored light tree that doesn’t twinkle. I spend $1,400 on a tree I don’t want.

Do NOT buy any 'pre-lit' products! The full string of lights rarely lasts more than one season. You will waste a significant amount of time trying to replace bulbs and the tiny fuses, but to no avail. If you must buy something buy the unlit versions and string them yourself. I just hung my garland, and for the second time in four years a whole section is unlit. Last year I spent three hours completely unstringing the dead lights from a tree no more than two years old. They clamp and twist and bind the lights so they are a chore to get off. So this year I knew I would have to string the tree. Now I guess I have about three hours of unstringing a garland and restringing it. Serves me right for being lazy. Avoid the pre-lit products!!

Every year I am dealing with the stupid lights. I replaced all the light bulbs, replaced the master light and fuse and they still don’t work. Why is the wiring on these trees so complicated!!! NEVER AGAIN

Every year since 2018 there were warranty issues, after 3 years of issues, they sent replacement tree which was not the same tree, I called to discuss this the rep said "you are out of warranty now, sorry we can not help you" $900.0 Christmas tree and I am just supposed to settle , Unreal.

I know you'll say this is too late and no order or tracking information, but I ordered a tree several years ago. I waited for delivery and waited and waited. I contacted the company and nobody knew anything. They said they would ship another. Several days later a tree arrived. It is not anywhere near quality and I could have bought better looking trees at Walmart or Home Depot for much less. This happened during the COVID peak. I called to ask about the other tree that had been shipped as I wanted to wait and see if it looked any better. The person I spoke with was rude and said...Well, you got one didn't you? and hung up! The only reason I kept the tree is because it was too late to search for another before Christmas. It is an embarrassment when I put it up. I make certain I tell everyone I bought it at Balsam Hill and paid a ridiculous price for such a mess. I ordered a skinny tree and it is that, but quality is totally lacking and customer service is horrible.

Purchased a Christmas tree for over $1,000. Worked for the first year. The next year lights in the lower section wouldn’t work. They replaced the lower section of the tree. Little did we know that we should have insisted on an entire new tree as a year later the same problem happened with a different section of the tree and they won’t do anything as they say the tree is no longer under warranty. We will not deal them again and will be sure to forewarn others. $1,000 for one year of an operational tree is not acceptable! Would have given a 0 for rating if possible!

Worst decisions ever to purchase from this company. I thought this would be a great tree for my elderly mother. First year the pre lite tree worked, second year I had to replace more than half of the lights. This year none of the lights work, branches are loose and drooping, and branch tips are loose and falling off. Never purchase from this company, cheap product, not worth the money you pay. Better choice to buy from your local store for better value.

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with. I gave it a 1 star because a 0 was not available. They have lied to us, misrepresented their product and are genuinely clueless. Customer service is virtually nonexistent. We did make the mistake of purchasing a tree but didn't like it when we got it so when we contacted them to return it, much to our surprise, there was a $25.oo per box to return it. (The tree we ordered came in 2 boxes). I feel that have cheated/robbed me of $50.00 and that is just shameless. I will NEVER do business with these clowns again. They are just worthless in my opinion. We opted for a very nice and beautiful tree from Lowes for at least a 1/3 of what balsam charges. This was after checking trees out at Home Depot, Lowes and Walmart. You would be smart to do the same and not do business with such a worthless company. .

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with, and the tree, though beautiful initially, after two months of use the whole bottom section wouldn't light even after going through all the troubleshooting. I requested a new bottom section which was supposed to be sent before Christmas of 2021. I never got it and then was told the order was for light strands and they were out of stock and I wouldn't receive them until this year. Now I am told that I won't get them this year either. No explanation as to what the problem is other than continuously saying they are out of stock. How can they be out of stock when they are making the exact tree with those lights. I called several times and they are of zero help. When you spend over $400 for a tree you expect more than a couple uses out of it. Be prepared for a lot of aggravation if you buy from this company and need help. They will lose a lot of potential business due to their poor handling of this problem.

Do not order unless u get a definite date. Placed order on 11/14. Label created still hasn’t shipped. They keep postponing arrival date. Now set for 11/29. They are blaming fedex. They take your money. Who knows if tree willl arrive before Xmas. Buyer beware

I've had my little tree about 4 years. I only hang light Patience Brewster ornaments on it. This year after I had it almost trimmed, one of the bottom branches suddenly sagged to nearly broken - it's still attached, but barely. I had to get a chopstick to help prop it up on other branches until after Christmas. I would send it back to them, but I don't want to pay the postage. I love this little tree....I'm pretty unhappy right now.

I’ve only had this tree 4 years and in the 2nd year one strand of lights didn’t work. Tried replacing fuses etc still didn’t work. Out of warranty and it still had a lot of lights so just kept using it because it was “Not Cheap.” Now this year I’m having trouble with remote and receiver box. I can’t get any lights to come on!!!! We have checked fuses in the reviver box they are not blown. Then sometimes when we mess with it enough if jiggle the tree they will come on! But then won’t turn off again with remote! Remote is working but can’t get the receiver box to light up. I am so frustrated now because all of my decorations/ornaments are on tree. So mad at Balsam Hill fir not having better customer service and taking care of these issues. These trees are So Expensive that you would expect them to last for a very long time.

Balsam Hill - Tree Stand Replacement - Balsam Hill Warranty is non-existent Purchased tree December 2021 (order # H019927978). Tree stand was broken, but put up tree anyway. Requested replacement tree stand August 2022. Balsam Hill told me tree stand was out of stock; expected to be in stock in September 2022. After numerous emails and phone calls (September -November 2022), I am still being told the tree stands are out of stock with no definitive date of when they will be available and one shipped to me. However, the exact tree I purchased last year is on the Balsam Hill website currently (w/tree stand included), so how can the tree stands be out of stock? Balsam Hill's warranty program is a sham. I wish I searched for reviews before I purchased last year. I would not recommend a Balsam Hill product to anyone.

I purchased a wreath $249. It came smashed with balls and parts of the wreath in the bottom of the box. I called customer service they said they would process a refund. Well low and behold a week later I received the same wreath also Smashed! I didn't ask for another wreath I was told I would get a refund. Terrible customer service. This once great company has gone down hill!

Omg so angry. Had this tree 1 season now this year a section of the lights do not work. Customer service said for ME to replace the strand of lights!!! What?? This is total bull! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. I SAVED UP FOR THIS TREE 😡 DO NOT BUY A BALSAM HILL!!!

Definitely a waste of money. Not easy to put up like they claim. It took several hours for me to even get the branches to look right. Used our tree for two years, then ended up taking it to the dump. Would never recommend to anyone who wants a tree.
