“The home delivery service seemed great at first - they had same-day slots and low delivery fees. It turned out to be a complete joke.
Made two orders in two days, neither was delivered! Do you think they told me no one was coming? No, I had to wait for hours for nothing. And I was still charged! I can't even believe this is possible. If you're not coming can't you at least tell customers about it? And why would you still charge them???
The one time I did get my order, half of the items were missing even though they had been marked as available on the website the same day. Honestly I'm baffled by how terrible this service is. I wouldn't even call it a service since they don't do anything besides taking your money. Do yourself a favour and don't use Co-op.”
“Absolutely useless, I cant stress enough how dire they are, use by dates were for a max of two days! Next, delivery didnt even turn up, rang to ask where is it and said had been delivered to a different address!! Was told order would be picked again and two hours later hadnt showed up so cancelled order and to make matters worse I now have to wait for up to 5 days for it to come back into my account, hopeless hopeless hopeless dont use they are terrible!”
“Co-op Chatfield Road branch. No social distancing in the store, staff not regulating number of customers inside. Staff blocking the aisles so we can't safely get past them or others. Till points so close together that customers can't socially distance even if they wanted to. I live round the corner and it's so convenient but I won't be back. Seems all they want is our money but not prepared to make things safe for us!”
“Have been buying fresh salmon from your How Wood near St. Albans branch for several months now. I have been buying salmon for many years, and I can honestly say it is the best I have ever eaten.
I Cook it in foil in the oven, with some garlic .It is soft ,moist, and has a great flavour .Absolutely delicious.”

“Co-op home delivery is a sub standard service. I've placed several orders with Co-op home delivery directly and also via deliveroo. The first few orders were excellent, but has now become unreliable to the point that the service is no longer usable. Many items are unavailable (often half the order) with no alternatives offered, and several times items have actually been charged for but are missing from the order. I've had to spend time emailing customer services due to their incompetence. No way to report missing items via the app. Would advise others to avoid!”

“I purchase foods at least 4 days a week from one Coop shop (Wraysbury Staines, UK) as I do not have an alternative nearby. First of all, the prices are too high for the quality of foods they sell and secondly, the customer service is awful. Recently, I had been purchasing a particular fruit from the shop and out of 5 times I purchases, the fruits were rotten 3 times even though they look good from the outside. I talked to one of the managers and he said to me to bring a photo of the damaged fruit the next time if I encounter the same problem. With this reassurance, I purchased on that day too, there again, the fruit was rotten. I took a photo and went to the store a few days later. There was another person dealing with the customers, to who put up my problem. He was not happy to my gentle complaint and started murmuring and refused to look into it. I stood my grounds and thought of utilising my rights and asked for a refund. At that point, the money was not so important to me but passing a message to the management was. Should not they be responsible for the quality of foods they sell to the public? The coop gentleman was rude in his behaviours and body language apart from disrespecting my genuine complaint. After some arguments he finally refunded the money unthankfully and said, he would not care next time. This is an utterly bad and unfair practice. Should the company look into such issues or do they think such are insignificant issues. I will think twice to visit Coop again.”
