“Buying shoes on a help yourself basis is what deichmann is all about. But if problems arise there is always an assistant to help out. If shoes aren’t in stock in the correct size they will order them online for them to be delivered to home address with no delivery charge. Excellent service.”

“Was shopping on Slough High Street on Saturday 30th November and saw an act of bravery by an employee of the Deichmann Slough branch that I had to take the time to talk about. He was chasing a man down the street who had just stolen 4 ladies handbags from the store and was cycling down the street in my direction. Even when the bag snatcher threatened to stab him if he touched him, the employee persisted and eventually the thief dropped the bags and cycled away!! I had to go into the store to congratulate him for being so determined not to letting the thief get away.”
“I visited your Birkenhead store on Thursday 21 November looking for navy blue suede block heeled shoes. I found two different pairs but the pair I liked best you didn't have in my size. John the Manager was very helpful I told him that I needed them for Sunday 24 November for a wedding. He checked at other shops
and found that your Wrexham store had one pair. He said that he was managing the Wrexham store the next day and he would bring them back for me to collect on the Saturday, which I did. “I went into the Westfield store just to have a look around, I found a pair of children’s shoes I thought were perfect for my daughter but I couldn’t find where they came from.
I lined up at the still for 10/15 minutes, when I finally was served I wasn’t greeted with a hello or an apology for the wait, just a stare I then asked the lady if she knew where the shoes came from and if they had a different size. All she said was ‘I don’t know’
The lady next to her wasnt helpful either. She said ‘kids are over there’ and pointed to the back Of the shop. I then asked to see if she would be able to check and see if she could find them or have A look if they had a different size. The other lady just said ‘ they’re over there’ again.
I asked her again if she would be able to check.. I got the same reply.
The lady who was serving me said she could have a look on the system, I thanked her and the lady next to her said she couldn’t and they will not have another size.. without even bothering to look.
In the end I only bought a pair of slippers for my little boy, Even when she told my how much I had to pay, there was no please and no thankyou after. I asked for a bag before she told me how much I would have to pay, even then I got a dirty look and a ‘yep’.
If I hadn’t of waiting in the long cue then I wouldn’t have bothered.
The staff are very rude and very unhelpful.
Might not sound like a lot but I’m apart of management for a retail store and I know how you should treat a customer. No excuses.
That was the first and last time I will ever be going into that store.”

Complaint dismissed by patronising and offensive store manager and nameless regional manager. E-mails have gone unanswered for weeks. Customer service is non-existent. Disgraceful company.”
