“Still crumbling shoesoles and abysmal follow-up
I had a pair of Ecco shoes some years ago where the soles crumbled the third time wearing them. Bad experience at the time but at least the store was helpful.
Fast forward to recently, where I took a chance with Ecco shoes as they claimed that the problem with crumbling soles that they blamed on rare "hydrolysis" was solved. Mistake. The soles started disintegrating after about 15 days of use over multiple months. Shoes were stored in a dry and well ventilated place, so this is not about some freak hydrolysis. This is defective material and design. This time around, the online service was slow and the response was a runaround about helping the "customer" contact the store. No ownership of the problem by the manufacturer, no goodwill, no responsiveness.
Lesson learned: Ecco is an untrustworthy company that keeps cheating on quality and service.”
“I can't believe that more people are not reviewing the deterioration of the heel. Little wear on these shoes but both heels turned gummy, almost overnight. Shoe repair shops will not work on them and have to send them off for repair at almost new expense. Bad product.”

“ECCO's used to be my "go to" shoes before they became popular. The last two pairs haven't had the same comfort and feel. I was willing to accept that I may have chosen poorly for my fit. Yesterday, I took out a pair I don't wear often to attend a formal event. The edge around the upper leather had come completely undone. The fact that it was on both shoes tells me it's a quality issue.”
“When my online order disappeared....I was waiting up to 2-3 weeks for each email response. I was waiting 2 months for the shoes that I purchased for my baby and in the end the Ecco Team confirmed the Courier has damaged the shoes and re-shipping is not possible.
This is ridiculous team of ignorants, who know very well how to ignore the Customers, and it has nothing to do with a Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!
I could send you an Owl with a letter attached to it's leg, and it would be still the same response!!! Means Nothing!!!! Nothing!!!!
A well trained Cheempansee would be able to set some cool procedures for that Company that surely the Current management!!!!!
There is no right on the market with tjat kind of treatment!

today i just used damp napkin to remove dirt , collor ruined as if it was water color !! some spot became yellow , some parts became green !!! you can see this in photos that I uploaded..
(also I paid 1749 TL (117 USD) for this and they denied to give me tax free form , so I coudnt even get tax refund in istanbul airport)”

“The soles of the Ecco shoes turn gummy over time even when not worn. The soles then rip apart. never buy these shoes unless you plan to wear them every day until they wear out. There is no reason for these soles to turn gummy and rip apart. They were stored on a closet shelf and the temperature in the closet was not hot.”
“Ecco shoes are garbage! When you first buy them they are great. If you leave them on a shelf in your closet for a year or tow, the soles become gummy and fall apart. It is not hot in my closet. The shoes are on a shelf. The Ecco soles just fall apart and disintegrate. It's so embarrassing to be at a function and have your shoe fall apart. This has happened to me twice before. never again will I buy an Ecco products. See the photo below.”
