“I ordered a calendar online and a key ring... the key ring was an extra on the order which I saw as I was checking out. They charged £2.99 for 1st class delivery of the calendar (no option for 2nd class, or cheaper) and then an EXTRA £1.99 for a key ring, which could be posted the same time as the calendar.
Seems very expensive considering most companies are now doing free delivery.”
“used Funky Pigeon to create 3 collage posters displaying images of my mum and family for use at her funeral.
The posters arrived and to our disappointment, they were all ruined and many of the images were so dark that you could not recognise facial features. This was despite all images being hand chosen for there brightness and suitability for print.
The other issue was that they charged me three times for postage and packaging of each poster and when they arrived they used the same envelope thus over charging £6.00.
I had to send photos of the images and they immediately agreed there was an issue. There was no time to get reprints in time for the funeral but as we had already purchased frames I asked if the posters could be rectified.
Got a message from them to say that they were refunding me and would not send reprints.
No quality control from Funky Pigeon and a lack of empathy.”
“Do not use funky pigeon.com for anything they used my bank details and took £15 out of my account, for some reward system that I’ve never signed up for.beware!”
“This morning I discovered funky pigeon rewards have taken £15 out of my account unauthorised. I did not knowingly sign up to any reward system and as far as I’m concerned this is fraudulent activity, and as such I have reported to my bank. I have emailed funky pigeon rewards.com I will let you know the outcome, hopefully they will respond tomorrow! Please do not buy any cards off of them and do not give them any of your bank details”
“Somehow I unwitting enrolled into a rewards scheme and as a result 15 quid a month comes out my bank!! Funky pigeon are of course denying any responsibility!! Shocking customer service when I called and spoke to three people. I'll stick to moonpig in future.”
“I purchased 2 personalised birthday cards for my wife from myself and my children. Not only did they not arrive and missed her birthday, but when I phoned a miserable person who wasn't even apologetic said they would give a refund, but got no confirmation of this and now having to chase. What a dreadful company with dreadful staff who are supposed to help celebrate events, not the opposite!”
“Don’t click the loyalty offer as it automatically enrols you to a £15 a month debit scheme that you can’t cancel within the 30 days as it doesn’t come out of your bank until after this which is how you know you have joined, phoned customer care number and am obviously not the first, total con will never use them again.”
“Ordered a card within the cut off time for delivery that day (a Friday) At time of sale I was told it would be sent that day and that 93% of customers would receive the card next day.
They took the money immediately but didn't send the card until the following week. (Not as stated in their policy or at time of sale)
Found this out when I got an automated despatch email the week after. By the time I received the card it was too late to get it to the recipient.
I complained and got no response from the so called customer service team.
They take your money and post when they want.
Avoid these bandits.”

“Ordered 4 photo books with our wedding pictures as a present to our parents that could attend due to their age. Leaving to France in 2 days and only 2 books arrived. Contacted customers service and they just refunded the difference. Unreliable service. Never order again”
“I ordered a card and bottle. The delivery receipt stated that only the card was send. They forgot the bottle. Then they only refunded the bottle, and failed to include the postage I paid. When I complained, they didn't reply. Awful service.”
“Placed an order for a simple card to be delivered 3 days from now. to be sure it arrived, I paid for the special delivery ay £6 something and confirmed the date, took a screenshot of the order.
Next day, confirmation my card went out (2 days early). I phoned to ask them to stop if and send it out on the correct date - "sorry we cant do that, try asking royal mail"....
I asked ref refund of postage as I could have sent normal first class and got it there within 3 days... - denied. - wont be using them again and wont recommend them.”
“Ordered birthday present from this lot for delivery on the 25 June and guess what?? The parcel hasn’t shown up so now I have a rather upset friend who doesn’t have the presents which was ordered on 22nd of June !! Well done funky Pigeon”
“Ordered father’s day card last Thursday, Wednesday the following week now and it’s still not arrived. I escalated it with PayPal and funky pigeon told me to close the case, with no promise of a refund. No chance! First time using this service and wouldn’t again. Total waste of time and money!”
“I ordered a cover for my new phone with a picture of my late wife on it. When I received it, it had several stupid emojis on it which I didn't want. I phone them to complain, and was told I had ordered it like that. No one in their right mind would order that style. I then discovered that it had cost me £19 to phone them for 5 minutes as they use a telephone number which makes them lots of money at our expense. Outrageous. They refused to refund or replace it.
Never again.”
