“I shop at Lidl, Aldi, Tesco or Morrison’s. The nearest store is Lidl. Good value but the fruit and vegetables are shocking. Avocados - will never buy again as always bruised / inedible. I’ve just thrown away a mango as bruised / brown skin (wasn’t cheap). Carrots thrown away. Whoever is in charge / buyer / QC for this section needs to be moved on.”
“Your fresh vegetables don’t have much of a long life when I get them home
Just how long after you pick them do they appear in stores?
Why do you sell stuff that is only while stocks last ?
Can’t you get regular supplies”
“Prices are good but then you get to the till and every single cashier practically throws your shopping at you! Last visit an elderly lady in front was struggling to keep up and the cashier starting scanning my shopping whilst the poor lady was putting hers away. Cashiers are like robots, no personality, zero customer service and treat customers with contempt. Every store I’ve been in they are the same. Is this really the price we should pay for a few pence off our weekly shop!!”
“Pop into the Salisbury branch on the 27/04/2019. There was large pallets of food on shop floor , staff moving pallets around the shop floor and the floor area around the back of the tills had water and dirt on the floor. This’s all looked like a very dirty unkept shop.”
“Prices are good and they have interesting food sometimes. The minced beef is full of water whereas the frozen prawns have very little compared to a lot of shops that have loads of water and very little prawns. A few of the staff at Broadstairs are helpful and polite, one of them even says hello to regular shoppers but there are many that are very rude to customers. They talk to each other while serving customers; I have witnessed one arguing with a customer over whether something had been discounted or not. The way to do it would be to ask a colleague to assist the customer, for the colleague to go to the shelf where the customer saw the discount and deal with the issue politely. Lidl's training must be awful!”
“Not UK Lidl but Slovakia doesn't have a review site for Lidl.
They sell rotten parmesan cheese. This happened few times already. Well under the expiry date. Once the package is opened, one can immediately tell this is what is happening. And it's not cheap either. If they are capable of selling rotten cheese to people, I'm not certain what else they are capable of. I don't trust them anymore. Slovak state food regulatory body should pay them a visit a impose a hefty fine on them for such practices. MINUS 100 STARS”
“I’ve been to Lidl near Blackpool yesterday and I’ve got a bone of lamb I’ve opened the packet and it didn’t smell good so we’ve cooked it thinking nothing about it and we had it in the oven between 2 to 2 and half hours and after pulling it out the oven letting cool over night came to prepare it today for dinner and it smelled Evan awful so we looked at the packet and and it was covered with terminated blood so we went to take it back explained to the lady at the till and blood spilled on the cover belt so she had to stop other customers from putting anything on the cover belt as it’s terminated also the manager came out so we got hour money back for it so I’ll never again shop at Lidl or Aldi”
“Love the bakery at the new Lidl at Town St. Stanningley, and it is my reason for going. However, the last two weeks the shelves at the bakery have been almost empty. No croisants or pastries. Limited bread rolls. No paper bags to put bread in so they supply rolls of plastic veg bags - (for the past two weeks )
Come on Lidl, this is a new store. Pull your socks up or we won't be back. No fresh bakery then no customers!”
“Ridiculous staff workers-managers. New Hall Lane,Preston, Uk. You put your stuff on belt-next minutes-sorry till just closet now -even if it’s not been showing closet. What a bag of s..t attitude.”
“Worst Store ever (SLOUGH), poor customer services, rude arrogant managers, treat customers and staff so poorly it has never heard of or seen before.
Savings are not worth it, as the cost of these savings are being paid by workers who are regularly overworked and treated like animals, and customers who are constantly insulted at the checkouts. Manager does not talk, he just barks! unbelievable they are surviving and getting away with this in a civilised society or may be poor has no entitlement to be treated with respect. An awful shopping experience. LIDL shame on you for penny pinching and shameful practices. SLOUGH manager should be named and shamed, he takes no responsibility of his actions. Please make your voices heard or they will continue this awful behaviour.”
“2019
If you are desperate for some cash then it is an easy job (once you figure out for yourself how everything works as the training is terrible).
When I worked there the staff were very rude and I heard a lot of them saying horrible things about new people behind their backs. It then makes you wonder what they have said about you.
Staff who have been there for years get away with talking for ages (sometimes up to half an hour) whilst others have to pick up the slack and get told off for even speaking to another colleague.
The staff turnover here is unbelievable too. You'd think they would makes some changes, but no.
Not the place to work if you value your sanit
The management it's treating people like a rubbish.”
“Visited lidl last week and ask one of their staff members where their tinned beans are and no one could seem to help me locate where they were, which left me really upset.”
“I was walking in Lidl and my head was suddenly struck by a baguette, it flew itself claimed staff but i know for a fact it was a prank from an employee. I ignored it and forgot about it until a steak pie was smashed off the back of my head, then i ran out the store and was immediately abducted by aliens shouting Mon eh selik.”
