“The shop is nicely laid out, The staff are polite and helpful. I am very happy with their own brand products, The quality of their food is outstanding especially the meat, so much so that I wouldn't consider buying it from any other supermarket. I must save myself at least £20 every time I shop there compared to what my shop would cost me in one of the more expensive supermarkets. The trolleys are always sturdy and in good condition, The parking spaces for parents are excellent. It's also really nice not to hear over loud bad music in the background that just drives me up the wall in the other supermarkets. Even the customers seem more happy polite and laid-back compare to the customers in other supermarkets with their trolley rage (maybe the music drives them up the wall as well). I am not normally one to write reviews but as I used to be a supermarket snob I feel I have a duty to let other people like me know you can get good quality and value for money afterall.”
“I was recently overcharged by £27 due to a computer glich re the price of avocados!! The manager in my local Lidl was very helpful and immediately refunded the money electronically, politely and without fuss.”
“It is just the sheer variety and quality of foods and other goods that can be bought there at a reasonable cost. The prices might be considered cheap but the quality is outstanding. Lidl also have weekly offers on all sorts of goods coupled with weekly speciality food choices from various parts of the world.”
“They were good value for fresh bananas, not that I've ever bought the out of date ones, they would be so mushy. They wasnt really much green on them and didn't last a long time but they were like in between regular and mini size.”
“Price and quality of food excellent. But, another retailer advertising for customers, getting them and forgetting to 'man the checkouts'. Long term Lidl shopper, but as it becomes busier, now becoming too much like 'all the rest' with queues at checkout. Not enough checkouts open for the number of customers attracts.”
