The worst customer service I have ever… The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Bag packed at checkout by a till operator distracted by a supervisor, no option to pack yourself, goods just thrown in! Opened the bag to find a whole bottle of shower gel over all items in one bag. Several phone calls to store & head office plus a store visit resulted in a very bad attitude by all staff I spoke to & told to wash or wipe damaged goods, no refund. Appalled is an understatement!!

Your system changed my address back to an old one. It also changed my billing address to same and that was NEVER my billing address. My recent order was delivered there and I have requested that you collect and redeliver properly and I do not get phone calls returned as promised and when I do get through to a person they do not rectify your mistake. TOTALLY DISGUSTING SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I use to work Poundland 2019 for a couple of months they told HMRC that they had given me car benefit £3869. And car feul benefit £3215. I don't have a drive or have a car after me putting a stop on it February with HMRC and telling them off mistake they resubmitted again it's taken 14 phone calls 6 hours 8 min 28 sec on the phone and 12 emails the payroll manger ignored my calls so contacted CEO Barry Williams who passed it to Ian and he told lies saying it was sorted when it wasn't at the time it's taken 3 months disgusting wouldn't even give money for all the phone calls

I'm giving Poundland a bad score because of the following. The 1st is because according to my bank statement in September 2019 someone working at Bridlington Poundland stole 3p from my bank account, but Poundland say they have no record of this transaction. Poundland customer services are either incapable of answering my question of did their head office receive my letters of complaint with my bank evidence of the spurious 3p transaction attached? Or they just don't care that they have wasted my time and money and mishandled my sensitive financial data. No my bank cannot help with this issue and my bank didn't create the problem as has been previously explained in my letter to Poundland via Resolver from Money Saving Expert. It's not just about the 3p which is a very small amount, the other reason I'm complaining about Poundland is their very bad customer service to me,especially from the Bridlington branch whose staff viewed CCTV footage of me with a wrongly negative bias and wrongly accused me of theft to the value of £1. How would Poundland feel if I stole 3p from their business account and ignored their letters of complaint and mishandled their sensitive financial data? Do Poundland think that it's OK to treat their customers like dirt?

On no account wast your money on their 'Wilson & Gregory lawn edging. Thin and brittle ', base snaps off when pushing into soil and cannot 'do' corners- meant for straight-line use only. Not worth 25p per meter, let alone the £1.00 for a pack of 4= 1 meter

What a confounded cheek!! All these stores are self service for goodness sake. Disgraceful. No wonder their rating is so low.

I was about to go into Poundland Kingsway Derby when I noticed two members of staff standing outside the front of the shop, both of them smoking. They finished their cigarettes and through them on the ground before returning into the store. Whether they bothered to wash their hands or not is another issue. Surely theres a place away from the public entrance where customers have to pass to enter the store, that they can smoke. I hot pack in to the car and went to B and M instead and wont be going back

On, 29th July 2019, I had a very bad experience at Poundland, Lewisham (London). While I was paying at the counter, one of the staff (who assists customers) asked me "From where did you purchase the frisbee?" I said "ASDA" and then she, with a very big smile asked if she can cross-check. I asked if she thinks I stole it then she with the same smile said "MAY BE". I do not understand how a staff can even think someone would steel an old frisbee. And what does she mean by "MAY BE"? I was so upset with the words she was using with a BIG SMILE. She did not even respond properly when I asked "What would you do if that is not POUNDLAND'S property. And the worst part was she did not even APOLOGISE. I really don't understand why customers are treated this way. I wonder how Poundland can treat customers like theives. THE ONLY THING I EXPECTED WAS AN 'APOLOGY' BEFORE EVEN ASKING ME IF SHE CAN CHECK MY FRISBEE - WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN.  SO UPSETTING.

Great! About time!! Good for Morrisons. Don't hold your breath for Poundland to follow suit though. Read below from Daily Mail. Just a tiny bit of a big article...........Now, one of the big four supermarkets is bringing back staff at 1,000 ‘express’ checkouts in response to shopper anxiety about using the self-scan tills. The move is part of a drive by Morrisons to improve personal service and win back shoppers who have deserted to no-frills budget stores like Aldi and Lidl.

Poundland ARE responsible for your frying pan. I GTEE you this 100%. No need for legal advise really. The best thing to do with Poundland is never to go there. Seen all their self service checkouts? Still the same prices though. One thing about Poundstretcher is that they do not use self service. Go there instead. Put your feet down people and demand a discount for serving yourself.

Purchased a £1 saucepan and £1 frying pan purely for their small size, ideal for 1. The saucepan worked no problem. The frying pan melted and has ruined my cooker. I rang Poundland's head office, sent photos and everything else they asked for. The label on the frying pan did not say not suitable for induction, which cookware always does. But they said they are not responsible. I will be seeking legal advise. Not happy with 'not our problem' attitude and how come the saucepan worked no problem.

Went to the Burton on Trent store today, horrific checkout service and obnoxious staff. Half a dozen checkouts, one operating, self service monitored by one member the other in the one operating checkout. Made comment reference the lengthy queue, greeted by shoulder shrugging and couldn't care less. Management should be ashamed!

Imagine sacking someone after 12 years of service, suppose to be a family store and a great place to work. We'll please explain the dismissal of my mother after 12 years over a carrier bag. The appeal will take place, and we will be seeking legal advice, this is a disgrace and one that want just go away.

Stay away from this company with their new policy of self service checkouts. We do NOT pay to serve ourselves and the queues are horrendous to do so. Mostly rude staff who think we have no right to ask to be served by a person. What a confounded cheek. I, and others I know, have stopped going there and go instead to other similar stores including Pound Stretcher who sell similar products.

The store manager whom left the branch at Peterborough Hereward Cross, when putting my interest in supervisory, because that was the work ethic I had put in in the 4 years of loyalty and hard work I had put in, whom promised me training and the next supervisor Job would be mine, - nothing happened, and other staff r employees were trained on the job, this knocked my confidence down, and the manager who fleed, treated me like I was nothing, but just a colleague who had to work fast and carry everyone else whom were incompetent of the jobs. I was relied on to get the jobs all done. In my career, I didn't get no training on the job and the manager made up misleading facts to fiction.

I went into the Bingley branch in West Yorkshire and selected a can of coke, price marked on the can in print at 55p. When I got to the till, I was told I had to pay a pound for it, or could have 2 at that price. I got told by the store manager they don't sell at marked prices. The price was marked very clearly, in print, not stuck on, as 55p. YOU HAVE TO SELL IT AT THAT PRICE YOU THICK IDIOTS, IT'S THE LAW YOU DUMB THICKO'S! Don't you just hate it when some American company tries to flout UK law?
