Nothing went wrong with me to be honest..but I'm very disappointed with Poundland.. I went to Poundland Leyton branch and I saw how the manager was treating the staff.. it was like their are slaves..OMG he was bullying with very bad words.. the manager is so rude!!!! In my opinion it's better to stay unemployed but never ever work with Poundland.. very bad manager it's not good to treat the staff like he was.. I never expected this in London stores

Terrible service. I ordered, amongst other things, three tins of biscuits. Only two turned up, which were smashed. I contacted them several times via reply email to the order, direct email to their customer service and also on their website and still have not had a reply. Looks like I'll have to do a card charge back. Will not use again!

Me and my 10 year old daughter were treated like thieves just because my daughter was wearing a sweatshirt that I bought for her 2 weeks earlier in this very store. And when I asked to check the cameras, the security guard said it was his mistake and left.

My mother was assaulted by security and a shoplifter today/ now in your Dalston branch. A female shoplifter attempted to steal food and security physically manhandled her to prevent it. In the altercation my 72 year old mother was pushed forcefully to the floor and cut her hand open. The manager refused to help her or even give his name. Which is “Shake” (not sure of spelling) by the way. He told her to leave and go to the police station He offered no aid, understanding or help. Absolutely appalling, the advice he gave was incompetent and incorrect, he refused to file a report on your system and gave no advice on your policy. In fact they treated her has a burden, which is sickening. She is a pensioner, if your staff have no humanity or personnel skills they should not be working with the public.

Received my parcel, but some of the body washes i ordered had leaked in the box, which then went on my floor. In a hurry to clean it up I didn't think of taking photos, poundland refuse to refund or replace, or even give a credit note. I find this so annoying. They said its in their faq's page, who on earth reads the faq's page unless something goes wrong. Not impressed at all. Lost £9 worth of christmas gifts, which I can not afford to replace.

I accidentally went in through the exit door, a very rude customer assistant told me that I had to use the entrance door, I apologised but she shouted “how rude” when I carried on. Needless to say, I didn’t buy anything and left

Absolutely rubbish customer service department. Do not provide refunds when they are due for items deemed out of stock, yet still showing available on line. Just chuck ceramics and glass wear in with no protective packaging amongst food and baking items. Try complaining and they pass you from pillar to post, asking for photos etc when I've already sent them in the first place. Will never order from them again. Two orders, both with their own separate issues that have not been addressed successfully yet.

Maybe change the name of the shop as very few thing are actually a pound anymore. Don't buy the flour sifter. It only does the sifter action with nothing in it. Watch out for supposed bargains that are smaller and have less content than other shops.

“It doesn’t matter” that’s the reply I got from your 16b Lower Parliament St Cheryn then “Well I wasn’t here yesterday, was I” How unprofessional, unhelpful and rude. This is what I got first thing this morning

We went into the ripley store recently, when my elderly mother had forgotten her purse, the young boy on the till pulled out his bank card and payed for my mother's shopping, we went back later to pay the boy back in which he refused, lovely lovely lad, very polite with good manners. The manager there tall man, very rude, no customer service skills, was bullying the lad, well done lad for biting your tongue, you deserve better

On a visit to my local Poundland I recently i found one of the counter staff very rude and intimidating We had been stood at the tills waiting to be served at least 5 minutes as she came to the counter was laughing and joking over the works ear piece she was wearing and continued to do so while serving looking at myself and my mother while serving then laughing. We both found this very intimidating and unprofessional On speaking to the manger he did apologise and said would speak to her unfortunately i feel this wont be the case and not a good look for your store I came out of your store disappointed as-well as angry at way made feel This is not way customer should be served and feel on leaving

Poundland Dalston had most of what I wanted so that is what my one star is for. However getting to the till I needed my paracetamol approved. Fine of course as someone who works in a shop that is not a problem for me. The girl at the self service looked at me, went to approve, and then looked at me again and asked my age. I said 25 and she gave me such a dirty look! Honestly it was blatant and just unnecessary. I look young, definitely not 18 or under young BUT I have ID so she could have checked it. As a retail worker I know challenge 18 and challenge 25 very very well and I would never look at customer that way or be rude in how to ask someone their age. She looked very young herself so no need for all of that. If in doubt ask for ID without making a horrible face. Overall I find most Poundland stores have staff who don't look happy and are unapproachable. My employers would tell me off if I was like that and poundland staff should be told off too.

Went into my local Poundland in London (Roman road) was served by a young girl Who was absolutely rude. No greetings, no thank & no eye contact whilst serving me. I was about to make a payment through contact less & nothing was showing on the machine to say tap. She turned around & shouted out press the red button. I was shocked but she kept shouting. I asked her not to shout at me as I am paying for my services & not to be shouted at. She continued to to raise her voice & her colleague jumped in & tried to move her away. Then I asked for the store manager (Karim) who was not available so they tried to move her away. When I asked for her name to her colleague the girl started to shout out can’t you fuckin read & pointed to her badge (Linda). Absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the staff. People like that shouldn’t be dealing with customers. I’m still in shock that this happened while trying to pay for my shopping. We go pick our products, bag our items then get shouted at to pay. What type of behaviour is this. I’m sure this can’t be the first time this has happened & what actions will Poundland take.

Slippery floor with no response. No incentive to do anything about it. Customers amused by the fact. They don't answer telephones and block complaints by email. All I can say to you is.. karma will get you eventually.

I wanted a straight exchange for a larger size pair of jeans, I had no receipt, a supervisor told me I could not exchange the jeans, cashier was laughing at me in my distress, I had to wait to speak to manager for 40 minutes as she was on her break, (still in the building) . 2 minutes of her time would have saved me a lot of distress, fellow customers could not understand the attitude of 2 supervisors, and have gone onto Twitter and other public platforms, as will I.
