“I bought a Canon EOS 80d camera. The price was excellent and it was delivered promptly. You have to ring a number in London to confirm the order and they try and sell you an extra battery. It says on the website before you ring that you will be given a 32GB sd card free when you ring. This did not happen and although I have contacted them through the website I have had no reply. They would have got 5 stars if not for this.”

“Puzzled by the phone call immediately after I made my online purchase but later realised it was a means for upselling. Also confirmed my suspiscion that despite the branding this is a US company. Did order an extra battery for the camera however, for which I was given a 'discounted' price, only to discover that in the revised total I had then lost the £20 voucher which was included in the original total. Have made a couple of attempts to recover this, including forwarding the original order confirmation but have had no response. Some of the prices are good though the 'discounted' battery was at a Nikon original price but is a brand I can't even find on a web search and isn't even on the SLRhut site. I am somewhat fearful of what difficulties I might endure should I have a problem with the kit I have bought Unliley to use them again”

“Hi second purchase and like the first everything was seamless and order arrived promptly. A little more bubble wrap packaging would be good as only 2 sides of the 6 sided box we’re protected.”

“Camera and accessory all arrived on time. The delivery tracking date and time was spot on. Unfortunately the SD card that was sold as an accessory does not work. Had to nip to Argos late night shopping to get new SD card to enjoy the total new toy experience.”

“The request to call SLRhut after placing the online order was an unusual step. But given the cost of shipping from the USA, I appreciated the effort to make sure that I had ordered the right camera and had included everything that I needed. Delivery was less than 48 hours later - fantastic!”

“Diabolical. This is NOT a UK company even with the co.uk website and the 0208 phone number. Ordered a 370 quid camera on 5th April. Took the money at the time. 3 to 5 days delivery quoted even though I had to call to process the "online" order. Waited 5 days. No dispatch email. I have called them at least 10 times over the last week and cannot get thorough. Eventually I get through "it's on the way" then 6 days later a email saying it's out of stock?? Joke. I called them and said I want a full refund. 24 to 48 hours. Payment disputed with my credit card company. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. its practically fraud. With 0 customer service”

“Order arrived quite quickly but one of the lenses wouldn’t work so we need to send it back. We have to ship it back to US! Didn’t realise the company wasn’t UK based as it was a UK website”

“Very Happy with my purchase, however, delivery was a day late and confirming my order on the telephone did not get me a free memory card as stated in the email. I also did not understand why I had to confirm my order after I had already paid for it.”

“East to order online, but was asked to phone the company to progress my order (making a mockery of 'online shopping'). However, this was an opportunity to sell me something! Was also later asked to phone the Billing Department - all I got was music during calls. Facebook messages were ignore. I also entered a 'discount code', which was not honoured! However, on the bright side, delivery was posted on the Friday, arriving on Monday morning.”
