Just watched watch dog on bbc1 ( 14 November) seems I'm not the only one having problems I'm sick of phoning them and not being able to get through the only way for them to communicate is through email the after care is worse than the shabby furniture

I am not sure where all the customers who gave Sofology a good review went. I would say that purchasing our sofa was good BUT BUYER BEWARE !!! Apparently before you buy a sofa from Sofology you should do your research. In other words you should go in and look at the various sofas they have, ask what it is made of, how it is made, where it is made, how long is the life expectancy of the sofa you are thinking of buying. Look underneath, check the back, check the filling. Then make sure you ask " How do I care for my sofa? Should I dress the sofa every day? Should I clean it every day? Should I sit in a different seat every night? Because if you don't after a few months your sofa will sag and look as though t is 90 years old. In fact my mother is 93 and she looks better and less worn than my sofa which is NEARLY ONE YEARS OLD. So we did what any customer would do and contact customer services .Well be warned there is no such thing as customer services at Sofology. Basically they say its tough and there is nothing wrong with your sofa. We did contact the ombudsman but there is a catch !! They send an expert who is independent BUT who does a lot of repairs for sofology. Which means you don't really get an independent point of view . He told us there was nothing wrong with our sofa . Well if you saw it you would not agree with him and neither do we which is why we are not giving up. IT IS APPALLING THAT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SELL SUCH POOR QUALITY FURNITURE AND BE ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH IT.

Sofology - I'm lost for words - the standard of sofa is appalling we've had this sofa for over one year and it's had limited use - we both work full time are of average build and there's just the two of us. I've followed the instructions to the letter daily "plumping" swapping cushions etc. And this is what we are stuck with!!! Sofology sent insulting emails (pre set emails) saying all it needs is some "TLC", and to open the Zips on the cushion to allow the air to circulate - I bet their are glad they aren't going home to sit on it. They even wanted to charge me to send out a technician - what a joke And are now trying to tell me it's perfectly normal. We are no further forward with any resolution and all they want to do is close the complaint and have even had the cheek to send me a experience survey - my advice avoid this company at all cost. They are also trying to tell me I'm the only customer in the country to have a problem - I Find this really hard to believe!!!!!!!

I did not even get as far as ordering and still feel I need to review them. I popped into a local store for the first time and was hit with the scripted spiel by three separate employees. All about them sending the details for anything I like so I can view it later etc etc. I decided to give this a try and he took my email address, but also asked for my phone number. He said they won’t call or text, it’s just needed to populate the form he was filling out. I naively gave it. I went home, clicked on the email and had to set up an account to view the stuff he’d sent. However, it was all in my ‘basket’! £10,000 worth of furniture from two entirely different ranges. I looked and removed them. But, since then I’ve had about 5 phone calls a day, a load of texts and some emails saying I’ve left some items in my basket and to check out etc! I have blocked them now and won’t be going back!

I bought two leather sofas from Sofology in July 2017. I noticed a couple of months ago that small pieces were flaking off on one sofa. I contacted them and they said they would send a technician to look at it. By the time he came just over two weeks later large area were peeling. It looked like it had been sprayed and was peeling off. The technician asked how we cleaned it and we advised with their kit. Then got s dry piece of soft cloth and rubbed the settee for 5 seconds. He then took another and asked me to dampen it. He then rubbed this for 5 seconds. He then left. I git a call 2 days later to say they had the report and it was wear and tear. The so called rub test proved this as no colour came off in 5 seconds. I was furious. I asked about the guarantee to be told that it only covered the structure. When I pointed out what the guarantee actually said about the leather having a two year guarantee I git no reply. I put everything in writing to them and have not had a response. I intendctsking the matter further but it won’t be with the so called independent furniture ombudsman that is for sure as reading their responses to others they are worse than useless.

Haven't had our 3 seater recliner sofa for 2 months yet and it's sagging so badly. Sofology sent an engineer to examine the sofa, he said there are no defects. So we are stuck with a sofa that is very poorly built unlike the one in store that we tested. The sofa is much worse now than when we first complained about it. The back aches are getting worst, and Since sofology says we are stuck with the sofa because we picked it out and the engineer said nothing is wrong, we are now out shopping for another sofa and getting rid the new so called state of the art product we are still paying for. And customer service was so rude! It was unbelievable! We asked for her name and she said it's Julie, she could be lying as it seems they are all liars. Now the sleepology mattress was a disaster we asked to return it as it's an horrible mattress, slept on it 2 nights and the 2nd morning I couldn't stand upright, my back was in pain. Had to contact them 3 times for the protective bags they should send for us to return it, still waiting. There must be something that can be done, because it's just isn't right to be throwing out a 1 month and 1 week old sofa instead of them just exchanging the 3 seater sofa for the 2 seater like we requested. Still can't get over how rude Julie was! I was excited to shop with sofology, but it turned out to be a nightmare. I didn't take the bad reviews here seriously and gave conology our money. Do not shop with conology! Would give 0 stars if I could.

On delivery there was small mark at back of Setee which has got bigger now the same mark has appeared on front of one of the chairs it's only 3 months old so you don't expect this to happen I was told by the delivery guy the mark would fade and it's just got worse after 1 months of trying to contact sofology iv finally had someone come to my home today to assess the damage and was going to use a solution which was in a spray bottle to try and cover the mark and I refuse point blank I will never recommend this company to anyone I'm disgusted with them I am not giving up I will keep on to them till I either have a full refund or a new Setee no copremise!!!

well im at the end of my tether with… well im at the end of my tether with sofology where do i start, all they do is lie and lie and make excuses or ignore u i bought a leather 2 and 3 seater recliner off them 3 years ago and from the day it arrived the problems started, the electrics in 1 seat of the 3 seater didnt work and 2 seater was out of alignment, they put in a new motor a mth later, but refused to accept any probs with 2 seater, 2 mths later staples came out and they sorted it, it went on and on with small probs, seat sagging also and was told i had to sit on a different seat every day and my fault using this seat more, then 2 holes appeared,. after years of complaining and arguing with them they sent homeserve out, who admitted the 2 seater was out of alignment and sagging shouldnt have happened, 1 hole was due to bad leather quality in that area, the leather was starting to crack and come away, i had paid for the best leather also. i thought great at last it would be sorted. i got an email from them saying technician had said no faults on my suite case closed. i rang homeserve and they told me they werent allowed to give me any full details ,but they had informed sofology there were concerns with my suite, so more lies from sofology. they still wouldnt do anything, i went to ombudsman , who wrote to them and soon after they offered me a credit note for £1600 , the suite was £2500, they wouldnt budge on that, i was going on holiday for a mth so stupidly decided to accept as they had only given me a month to accept it and ombudsman were taking too long to reply suite number 2 arrives i ordered a material one so i wouldnt have leather issues with 3 seater recliner and big chair with recliners end of sept it arrived and straight away i wasnt happy , theres crinkles in some areas not in others it looks really odd, the back of 1 side of sofa is loose. i wanted it sent straight back but drivers assured me its just settling creases and will go in 1/2 weeks. the delivery guys took a chunk of wood out of top of my door frame, scratched some of my plaster and scratched 1 of my picture frames, i didnt notice til they left. the creases didnt go so they sent a technician out about a mth ago, he couldnt get creases out of 1 arm on chair and said need a new arm or chair, he had to re stuff some areas, he managed to fix sofa as delivery men hadnt connected it properly, he cut is finger and dripped blood on my new sofa but managed to clean it off, but ive got a big gap between the seats and they are not level in height and depth and now seat starting to sink . im so annoyed with this company ive been on to them none stop for 7 weeks , they dont answer emails, dont answer calls unless you wait ages. they all tell you different things, was offered £65 to get all damages repaired no chance of that being enough. i was told to get a quote for the 2 frames 1 he damaged and 1 that matches and is next to other so cant have odd frames, they were 95 and 85 due to 1 a bit smaller, they are now back tracking and saying i shouldnt have been told that and due to me not telling them day this happened they are only going to give me £65. i had just lost my dad a few weeks before suite arrived and i was goin on holiday a few days after which they new about i had other things on my mind than to email them but i tried to ring them a few times but couldnt get through i knew their technician was coming in 2 weeks so thought i could speak to him about it and he took photos too. they are now saying the technician said theres nothing wrong with my suite , what a lie cos he told me there was. ive got another technician coming in 2 weeks from homeserve to have a look at the suite but not damage to my house. ive written another complaint, i think im going to have to go down ombudsman route again, their customer care is absolutely shocking and appalling. ive now been batttling with them 3 1/2 years and its been a dreadful experience, AVOID this company

"I receive sofa from sofolagy with damage! The people who deliver they take not and said we will pass it to sofology they need replaced it on deliver not After I call them in same day Ongoing complaint! I emailed Sofology about faults on sofas, mis-selling of the 5 year insurance and the disgraceful telephone call to the store where their engineer mocked me - Just had a visit from a Sofology Engineer not independent ! His report said that there is no defect - no surprise there then! Customer services say sorry, but tough! (I am paraphrasing obviously) Disgraceful and diabolical lack of common sense let alone any kind of customer service. Now the only recourse is to go to the furniture ombudsman - which #Sofology pay to be members!!! In my humble opinion, Sofology are selling either poor quality or fake leather as it is peeling. Engineer implied "something has been spilled on it" except the only chemical that has been used on it is the cleaner they sold me! The peeling is on every piece of furniture...a heck of a spill! The foam in the seats is failing too! Disgrace - buyers be very wary of this company! Don’t buy from sofology

If I could give 0 out of 5 I would - 1 is too good for Sofology! I am utterly disgusted with the service we received after having purchased a Newbuck leather sofa through the Milton Keynes branch of Sofology. Customer Service/after-sale has been nothing short of diabolical. They never called us back when they promised they would. Us always chasing them.. emails, phone calls... oh I could go on and on... our furniture has cost £3.5K. They don't seem to care. I am so so disappointed with this product. Leather peeling away from the sofa is not natural tick marks!!! That is what they are trying to tell us!! Don't insult my intelligence please. It is an absolute joke. And then they have the cheek to shout at my husband down the phone... as if it is his fault!!!! Words can't express how sorry I am to have ever stepped into their shop. Buyers, beware. NEVER AGAIN! Complaint ongoing but if this is not resolved I will be putting this out on all platforms I have access to, to ensure the public are aware of their shoddy service.

Ongoing complaint! I emailed Sofology about faults on chairs and sofas, mis-selling of the 5 year insurance and the disgraceful telephone call to the store where their engineer Alan mocked me - Just had a visit from a Sofology Engineer...yep even although I asked for him not to be sent...Alan duly arrived! We bought a Fellini suite a month ago. The quality is shocking. And like other reviews they ask you to review before you receive you suite, which is basically asking you about your experience in the store. Like many of the reviews on this site my experience is replicated. The cushions go flat after sitting on them for a few hours to become uncomfortable . I decided after reading other reviews that I could not be bothered dealing with this company which do not let you speak to them by phone, only by email. I had the chairs recovered by an upholsterer , £180 per chair. He was reluctant to do the job as he said I should not accept the suite. But life's to short , He did a brilliant job. He said the foam Sofology used was of the lowest quality.

Ordered two Barrington settees that according to the salesperson and the website dismantled for delivery..delivery day dawned and the delivery people who according to Sofology are trained, said the settees do not dismantle. While I was in a web chat with customer services they unwrapped the settee in the street turned it over and cut the fabric away underneath. In the end the settees were returned to the depot. I then had an email saying they had been broken down at the depot. I asked how that had been done but had no reply. To cut a very long story short the latest is that they want to re deliver the settees including the now damaged one. I sent a short term right to refuse letter and have been told that the contract says I cannot end the contract under any circumstances. So Sofology even believe they are above the law. They don’t seem to understand that they broke their contract when the trained delivery person said it couldn’t be broken down and damaged it. I think a call to trading standards and watchdog is next. How do they get away with it? If it wasn’t so bad it would be a joke.

What an absolute sham of a company. Received a text on the 22nd October to say our sofa was nearly ready, had to book a delivery date. Booked for 5th November, taken days holiday. Sold my current sofa which is being collected on the 4th November. Received a text message at 4.10pm on the 2nd November, to say my furniture was delayed due to a supplier fabric delay. Called up and they couldn't give me any more info than the text, no empathy it just seem to be standard for them. Informed I can't escalate my complaint on the phone and that I had to raise a ticket on the website. Done this and got a response within an hour, but they couldn't help as they didn't deal with deliveries. I was advised to write in and complain. Got a response on their facebook chat, but still no updates of any kind and can't give me any indication. They can loan me some furniture but I would need to be in on Tuesday to receive this and I would have to agree to sign the finance paperwork on delivery. (Considering this is not my sofas, I don't think I should be signing this) Plus I can't change my holidays at work, so off on Monday for no reason and then not around Tuesday for delivery. Nobody cares, it just seems standard.
