scam ordered a product almost a month ago 1st time they lost the package then they gave me a replacement order now the replacement order has been misplaced two times showing up at the wrong courier facility and after i received an sms that the package would be delivered the next day it somehow never showed up how can that be possible? do yourself a favor and don't order from this scam site go to the shops and buy what you need or just use amazon

I am writing this review for two reasons: 1. In the last attempt, before I take legal action to get my money back or my order delivered from Takealot. I also know that they do not care about the reviews written here, but one has to try everything to at least get your money back or your order delivered. 2. To warn people about spending their money online at Takealot. My warning: Do not buy from Takealot! Please spare yourself the loads of drama. I bought R3500.00 worth of goods. Firstly they just cancelled one of my items and decided to keep the money for "any further purchases" without my consent. Then, after a heap of emails, I at least received that one item but the rest did not arrive. Then two weeks later, after a lot of emails, another item arrived. Then nothing. The rest of my items disappeared completely and it stated on their website that it has been delivered and signed for. Then, in email after email I was promised that it will arrive on a certain day, the dates kept changing and my goods never arrived. I still do not have my goods and I did not get a refund of approximately R3000.00. Takealot loves taking your money, and a lot of it, without supplying the goods. Spare yourself a lot of tears and frustration of sending email after email begging for goods you already paid for and being lied to about delivery dates. They keep you under "house arrest" as they keep giving you delivery dates, you wait and no one arrives with your order. DO NOT BUY FROM TAKEALOT. IT IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY WHO DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Returned an item to takealot that was defective last week. Yesterday I get an email from Takealot stating that my return has been concluded and my account credited. Upon checking my balance I saw it was 0 despite their email informing me that they have credited my account. I immediately sent an email and the only response I got was they have escalated to the relevant department and will get back to me as soon as feedback is received. I would think twice about doing business with them in the future.

The delivery man was rude by putting the phone down in my ear and swearing at my husband and myself. I'm scared now as this person know where I stay especially after his altercation with my husband. He refused to deliver our order today and said that someone else will deliver it tomorrow even though I told him I will not be at home tomorrow, he simply said it's not my problem. I always place a monthly order at Take a Lot but will think twice before ordering now. I tried to call the customer call center and after about 15 minute of waiting I could not lodge my complaint. Not only do Take a Lot employ rude employees but their customer call center is another down point.

I ordered 5 items in one order. Then I received a mail that delivery will be delayed because some items are on back order. I then requested for the order to be split (each split order will still be more than R450) but apparently Takealot can't split my order because the background processes are "much more complex" So they would rather loose sales than deal with their complex background processes. What a joke!

I ordered a laptop battery and a laptop stand from takealot.com. when they delivered my parcel on Friday 19th 2020 only the laptop stand and socks, which I did not order, were in the box no battery. I have logged queries since Friday but no response, no one ever picks up at the call centre. I am very disappointed with takealot's customer service as it has been more than 4days since i logged a complaint but no response. I have paid for the battery and i need it as i am working from home and experience power outages on a daily bases.

In the past 21 days I have dealt with 3 online stores (and their third-party) delivery function. Takealot. Take a bow! You have gained a customer-for-life. Fast, EFFECTIVE, friendly, caring service. I wish I could say the same about the other two (soon-to-be-out-of-business-competitors). Well done! You understand the online process and flow, and that all parties that act on behalf of your name, shoule buy into the same values! My sincere gratitude for excellent service!

The worst service ever I ordered on the 31 of May and they cancelled on 12 of June the day it was suppose to be delivered. Requested a refund it was not issued and I am still waiting today, lost a lot of money because of their inefficiency

Initially I was not happy with the MeCool TV Box I've received due to software issues. After contacting the supplier Interfoto CC, their technician contacted me and the issue was easily resolved. The customer support from both TakeAlot and Interfoto CC was outstanding and I will recommend them any time

I ordered a honey badger knife and when it arrived the box was empty. Worst part is trying to make contact with anyone who can help from Takealot. Call centre never picks up. The only thing one can do is send an email and wait for their reply..... pathetic. When they already have your money.

My Takealot order took more than 3 weeks to be delivered and then Fast n Furious couriers never delivered the most important and valuable item, a queen size headboard. I am still waiting for feedback. They were also extremely arrogant when my wife questioned them about the headboard that was not delivered. I also hold Takealot responsible for this because of their extremely poor judgment and choice in courier service. Fast n Furious have the worst rating I have every seen for anything on this platform however Takealot deemed them fit to courier their customers goods and associates the Takealot brand with such a poor and unprofessional courier company. This says a lot about both companies. I have formally complained and informed Takealot that I have not yet received my headboard but have received no feedback on the whereabouts of my very expensive headboard or when I will receive it, if ever. This despite being promised that somebody from Takealot would contact me....Pathetic service. Order 72267937

My order was delivered with one item missing from the order (expensive item of everything else ordered). I have been logging requests to report this but I am being ignored by Takealot and only receiving one email asking me if the item was tempered with (after stating clearly that I did not receive it). I am so disappointed this is the first time I miss an item from my order. order number 72424381

Dear Takelot I received my order opened, damaged and tampered with! Both tripod box and ringlight box was damaged and opened. The tripod has a piece missing on the end where the box was received opend, the tripod was also damaged. I am truly very unhappy, when the courier came to drop it of, he told me that he picked it up like that, so don't you have anyone checking the items? My cheaper item was packed very need and boxed up and sealed!! He wanted me to send it back immediately before I could lock a return. After locking a return I only got a message for pickup but no message for the return of a new unopend product, it is a very expensive item and would please like a new one. I tried calling, I even send emails and left a message on Facebook messager and no response! I have been a very loyal customer for years and this is the first time with such poor customer service and handling of goods. They have picked up te parcel already but NO confirmation on when and if I'm getting my money back or a new product! They just keep om ignoring! This has left me no choice but to take it further, I didn't want go public with this but it seems like its the only way you (Takelot) respond!!

my partner bought an engagement ring of which was to be a "surprise" but ended up telling me because of poor communication from Takealot. Delivery day was due 26 May 2020 on Tuesday, then only yesterday 02 June 2020 afternoon they sent a text saying they will deliver today 03 June, when i went through their tracker first thing in the morning when i get to the office, Delivery has been done and signed by "customer" Nangomso, like why on earth would they give out a package to someone without any confirmation that its the correct recipient? Are you not supposed to call the recipient on delivery day? Im so angry, not only did you ruin my surprise engagement but your service delivery its a disaster, we cant even get hold of you on the number that you said we should call for more info #72266758 is my order number if you care to respond or work on it
