In short, I ordered a fridge from Takealot. Fridge reached us with dents on the door. They collected the dented unit and delivered a new unit on the same day. Guess what? The replacement unit also has a dent on the door. Can Takealot handle major appliances? Clearly their QA or delivery process needs a revamp if they intend to compete with Amazon.

I ordered 3 items from Take a lot only received one been calling their customer service everyday they telling me stories after stories a week later the credit me without notifying me and honestly I want my cash back I’m officially deleting the app.. the service is really really bad

So I order something super important from TAKEALOT on the 29th October assuming it will get to me by the 6th November (Today) when I need it. Cool. TAKEALOT sets delivery date for the 2nd of November. Cool. Plenty of time. The 2nd passes. Nothing happens. They don't update me, they don't update their app, no customer service whatsoever. So because they're silent, I (the paying customer) reaches out to THEM like a day later. They respond to me like oh sorry for the inconvenience & usual copy & paste schpeel like they just forgot there was an order at all. They finally deliver like 2 days late & guess what when I open the box? Not only are they late but half the stuff I ordered aint there! Remember, I need this stuff for the 6th (Today). I ordered & PAID (TAKEALOT already got my damn money!) on the 29th! Now I'm ****ed & I'm emailing & DMing on Twitter & all these people can tell me is we're sorry for the inconvenience, we're checking with the warehouse blah blah bull****. I email multiple times again & I get an email saying it will be delivered on Tuesday the 9th! No incling of customer service from TAKEALOT throughout, no offer of compensation for the inconvenience, no special delivery offer or offer to make special arrangements because it was THEIR **** up or because TAKEALOT knows I need it by the 6th, ordered & PAID WELL in advance, NOTHING! *** must I do with the thing on Tuesday?!! *** do I need it for then??!!! It's your mess up, go the extra mile to fix it! I'm a paying f*$king customer! You didn't deliver on a service, go out of your way to fix it ffs! TAKEALOT is a piece of trash company if I ever experienced one! To make matters worse, I still didn't get my order by the time I needed it even though I repeatedly said to TAKEALOT multiple times that it needs to get to me by today. Not a f does TAKEALOT care! Now I'm being ignored by them completely via email, via social media like I'M a nuisance not a paying customer. Today I get a "delivery update" saying delivery will happen on Monday! *** does that help me???!!!

I found the perfect birthday gift foe my little nephew a few weeka ago on takealot. I paid for the gift along with 3 other items. A week later I received notification that i can collect my items. I was traveling for work at the time and received another reminder to collect. I then received an email yesterday that the gift i ordered was cancelled as per my request. I contacted them immediately to let them know that I did no such request. The agent then said he would investigate the reason why the order was canceled. I received an email today notifying me that the supplier ran out of that specific toy. This is absolute rubbish as I was informes that my items were ready for collection. Takealot clearly took my paid for toy and resold it and had the nerve to report that I canceled that order of that item. I now have to go gift hunting again. I canceled mt whole order and was told i can check the refund process online when i requested that they send me proof of repayment.

Takealot delivered the incorrect item but they have not refunded the delivery costs after more than 10 days and after numerous telephonic reminders. Would have expected a better service and If a refund is not forth coming in the next few days, I will remove them from our supplier approved list.

Placed order, just to find out they didnt have stock after it showed stock online. Placed a 2nd order for the item that was out of stock onlt to see a credit on our account because the new item was also out of stock which did not show. So decided to cancel both orders because of long delay for delivery then. Now struggle to get refund from them, order was about R4000. Will never order or recommend them.

This is the 1st time having a bad experience with takealot and i must say , very disappointed. I bought a beauty product and when i opened it ,could clearly see that it was used and opened!!! There were missing items and because i bought this product from another store initially , I was aware of exactly what it was meant to look like and clearly takealot are using cheap fake products and passing them off as discounted items online. Sad , disappointed customer.

After they delivered a food processor instead of a watch strap that I had bought, the nightmare begins. My daughter's gift will now arrive well after her birthday!!! Instead of just delivering the correct item when they collect the food processor, the food processor needs to be collected, checked whether it qualifies as a return. If yes, they will then schedule a delivery. If this is how Takealot deals with their own mistakes, then I can only hope that they got competition soon. Hello Amazon - I already get brilliant service from them in the USA, and most at better prices with 5 day delivery :)

We placed a order a few days ago and on the day of delivery they came and because the shop was close for a while they just left from there the drivers didn't bother to phone or anything

It's clear that not everyone shares the same experience when it comes to online shopping however, my first and most certainly not the last order here at TAKEALOT's online shop has been one of pure bliss. Not only did parcel reach me in a swiftly i was updated every step of the way via SMS. No logging online in attempt to track the whereabouts of my order. In addition to that the comfort of paying on delivery is also a complimentary option. Generally i am wary of ordering online but knowing i have not paid in advance for something i did not recieve does give me peace of mind. I HUGE THANK YOU to the team involved for the OUTSTANDING service!!! I will highly recommend your business and logistic operations.

What a disappointment. I missed calls from them regarding my order delivery at 16:18 and returned the call at 16:24. The reason for them calling was to inform me that the driver was stuck in traffic, which I appreciated. What created this 1-star review is what happened next. At 16:31 I get an SMS to say that I am not available for delivery. Without any follow up phone calls to say they are there, the doorbell did not ring or anything. My delivery was just cancelled. This is after paying the extra R95 to have the order delivered today. This is definitely the last time I will ever be ordering anything from them and I wish I had read the reviews on here before placing the order.

Really bad service we order a smart watch it was delivered excited to assembled the watch straps the straps was not working phoned and lodged a return up on checking my order status there was a pen with the watch ow ever there was no pen phoned and enquired they said that they emailed me the email does not provided a option to give a response i was told item declined due to missing parts ask them just to return the watch now i get it back with no charger so process begin again will never buy from them again it seems someone is tampering with the packages before it gets delivered

Pathetic customer service, no dialogue, no feedback, no callbacks on issue raised. Absolutely appalling and disgusting. You cannot escalate your problem to a manager cause each advisor will give and excuse the manager is unavailable so you stuck with incompetent advisors who cannot resolve your issue. I am still owed money after two weeks of their error. Will never use this service again, very disappointing customer journey

Basically Takealot has the proof that the product was clollected. I have the proof that Takealot has reseived it. If there is a problem between Takealot's courier and Takealot. That is literally not my problem. I will no longer wait. Bloody hell its the 29th (I have been waiting almost two months for my money back- this company is stealing from me). Please return my money today or put me in contact with a manager. No one is responding to my emails. I cant call to talk to someone at Takelot because your phonline is switched off due to covid. So let them call me. I am now at the level of anger that I can hit someone with something. I really have never ever work with or baught from a business that is so unprofessional. I expect my money back today 29 September 2021 before close of business. No nonsense that you are waiting for feedback. As mentioned. That is your problem!!!!

I bought two expensive sound speakers from Takealot. I received both. However, the original packaging was clearly tempered with. Nevertheless, I didn't open the items until I bought the required TRS cables. Upon opening the boxes, one of the speakers had some chipped damage. I didn't really care about it, even though I did pay for new speakers. This was not the case when I played some music through the speakers. One of the speakers were not playing correctly. So I logged a return for exchange because I already have the other one, and I want the pair to be uniform in my audio setup. It was collected from my home, and a few days later I was informed that my request was declined due to "visible user damage" in reference to the chipped off covering. This is Takealot alleging that I damaged the speaker. Now I sit with 1 speaker that works, the other 1 that doesn't. I will have to pay an electronic technician to fix it for me. All of this, after paying big bucks for something that was advertised as brand new and in working order. I supported Takealot for several years, and I spent well over R40 000 through them, but this was the last, and I will discourage others from using them.
