Totally inaccurate descriptions. I bought four items. 2 were defective quality and one was not even the color they described! They said it was white and clearly it had been washed with a red item that changed the color of it and the condition was horrible compared to the "good condition" it was described as. They charge you a restocking fee which is exorbitant You are responsible for paying return shipping. And they give you a store credit so you can get ripped off again. NEVER EVER buying from thredup again. NEVER.

Buying from ThreadUp is okay. I ordered a few items but pictures looked better than actual merchandise. Some were not worth it, I would say outdated. Selling items throug TreadUp not worth your efforts. Donating is better experience.

I just ordered 2 items from ThredUp and two days later the order was canceled. The message "there was a problem with your order and it was unfortunately cancelled. We have processed a refund to your original payment method." I received my refund, but I see the items I ordered back online at a higher price. I guess they didn't like the sale price so just canceled my order. Very shady way of doing business

2 items purchased could not be found in warehouse One Johnny was top was described as Very Good no major flaws - missing button, torn seam on side of blouse Too much effort to return. You have to pay for shipping back and there is a fee of each return.

This company is an absolute scam in every sense of the word. I sent in my clean out bag in September, only a fraction of the items were posted even though a majority of them had tags and had never been worn. All of the posted items were listed as either "Very Good" or "Excellent," HOWEVER please don't expect to make any money on any of your listings. So far I'm on track to making a whopping $0.15. I'll try my best to not spend it all in one place, but no promises.

Horrible! I sent 2 clean out bags in November for a Christmas sale. This weekend is FEBRUARY and not only haven’t my bags been processed but I can’t get in touch with anyone from ThredUp by email, phone, or chat!

Sent in designer wear, tags still on, among other garments in perfect condition. When all was said and done I made $0.97. 97 cents.

OK to buy- DO NOT sell. Two months long wait to have inventory processed (an issue if seasonal attire has been included) and 15$ service fee. I've sold 2 items (in the past) and did not make any money(even though they were sold for over 20$ each). I recently sent in a slew of clothing that will not be processed for 2 months and will most likely "expire" . After contacting customer service, their only statement is that they are inundated with kits, and cannot help w/ this issue at this time.

Buying from ThredUp is fine, but DO NOT sell your clothes to them. They charge you $14.99 in fees and whatever you sell puts your balance negative until you've sold enough to cover that fee. ThredUp sold quite a few of my items for $20-30 but then my payout was less than $2 per item. The majority of my clothes "expired" and so I didn't make any money on them. ThredUP offered to send them back to me, but I would have to pay full shipping (on top of the $14.99 fee). Basically, they got a TON of my nice, brand name clothes for FREE and then kept 100% of money that they sold for. Never again.

Do not order on this site!!!!!They are selling a lot of fake merchandise. I received a fake Gucci bag from Tokyo and they will not refund my money. It was almost $400. It was supposed to be a used bag and it was a new fake bag like you would find on the streets of NYC. I also received a fake Brandy Melville shirt and a pair of fake White House Black market shorts. Some stuff is real but do not take the chance. There are no phone numbers to call. Bad customer service!!!!!!!!!!

I would have given zero stars if that was an option. Explain to me how I sent in 30 items, 17 of which were accepted and ALL of which were in impeccable condition (many never worn), and somehow ended up making NO money??? thredUp is a scam. Don't bother.

First time ordering and they took my coupon out of my cart when I had problems with my login. I ignored it because I really wanted the item. Took them 5 days to tell me they couldn't locate the item? By the reviews seems like a theme. Is this company making money off keeping your money for a week before giving a refund 🤔

I recently bought a few things from ThredUp. Only one of the items was as described. The pair of work out shorts was listed in excellent condition and the waist band was so stretched out that they wouldn't even stay on. Same for a pair of sandals. I reached out online and all I could get was saying how to return and how much shipping back would be, etc. So I took the next step to email staing the issue. I've now sent 4 emails with absolutey NO REPONSE BACK. I shold not have to pay for return shipping when what I bought was not described accurately. So now I'm stuck with these things and WILL NEVER buy or recommend ThredUp to anybody. I'll stick with Poshmark and other sites. This was a huge disappointment and lack of any type of customer service.

I only shopped once but I never will again. The stuff isn't very cheap eventhough I got everything supposedly at half off. I bought a pair of Ralph Lauren pants that were listed very good and it is missing the button. If I had paid $4 for pants without a button then sure, I can fix that and be happy about it but I paid $18. Then I got a faux leather skirt with the tags still on and when it arrived, it had a hole that looked like a mouse had eaten through it. I spent over $200 on this stuff. Now that I'veseen the items, they should have been priced no more than $8 each. I feel like the thrift influencers are getting kick backs because the quality is not there. I'll stick to going inside the thrift store so I can inspect items myself. What a rip off!!

I have been a buying and selling customer for many years. However, that ends now. I send back more items than I keep now due to poor quality, size issues or poor descriptions. Selling is no longer worth it to me. The handling fee is ridiculous because that should be their cost for doing business. My portion of the sale price has gotten smaller as well. Plus, they pay me nothing for some items that they sell but claim are not brands they pay for. There is no longer any advantage to me to sell here. This was a fun, profitable resale option in the beginning. Not Now! I don't recommend buyig or selling here anymore. Too Bad

Don't expect to make any money on your clean out bags- after multiple sales of .28 to the most pay out 1.61 - I will owe them money ! better to donate or sell yourself!

The restock fee makes returns pointless. I bought an item for $13, but it costs $4 to return it PLUS an $11 shipping fee..... so there really is no point in returning it as I wont get any money back. That makes it really hard to shop because you dont actually know if the items fit you.. Only way to know is to try it on. While I love the idea of thrifting, this isnt saving me any money. Sorry, wont be shopping again.

I bought three items. Only one was as it was described. The running shorts were listed in excellent condition and the waistband was completely stretched out and were useless to me. Same with the pair of sandals. The straps hung from my feet. I reached out by chat first, got nothing. Have sent three emails now with no response. And of course when I go back online, they say the return window has closed. I won't ever buy or refer after this I'm not even going to take the time to upload photos as I'm so over this site
