They cancelled my order without any reason. Said I had to message them to ask why. This in itself is completely ridiculous, but I did want to know why I lost at least 2 hours of my life looking on their site for nothing. They didn't even answer me. I'm not trying to make another order if I don't even know what's wrong, but I'm really annoyed because I had ordered 5 or 6 things which I did want. I'll find them somewhere else, I'm sure. Like Mercari, Poshmark or someone else.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Extremely unreliable company. I placed an order of almost $100 and immediately realized it was going to an old address. There was no option to cancel so I quickly went to the chat support that instructed me to email support which I did. The next day the request was ignored and the order was shipped to the old address. When I contacted FedEx, they told me that the shipping method didn't allow for address updates. The company also got back to me three days later saying they could only help before the order is shipped, despite me doing so and that request being unanswered. So basically this company offers no protection for your orders regardless of the amount you spend.

Recently they lost a bag of designer clothing I sent them for selling. I stuffed the bag with my quality clothes and it was my first time attempting to sell with them. Julia the correspondent refused to file a claim through federal express. I was unable to do so because the smart label they sent me to ship the clothes to them belonged to thred up, so I couldn’t file claim on my end. Julia claims the package was lost but provided no claim number. I believe she never took the time to investigate properly and this is why she doesn’t provide a claim number

I wonder if this has happened to anyone else? I have been a good Torrid customer for a very long time. I recently lost some weight and had some nice clothes to re-home. I called Torrid and learned they had a buy back program through Thredup. I went online, got my label and shipped off a lot of pieces. This was in Jan 2023. I never heard anything so reached out to Thredup in June. I was told, oh yes, we have sold your clothes and you are due over $100. You will hear from Torrid. Never did. In August I started calling and emailing. It was a vicious cycle. Torrid said Thredup would pay me and Thredup said Torrid would pay me. What a scam. No ind paid me. I continued to appeal to Torrid and gave them every opportunity to make it right. I never even received the courtesy of a reply. I don’t shop Torrid now since running a scam on their customers. I am very disappointed in both organizations. Can’t stand a liar!

ThredUP is a scam, only allowing half of your clothes to go through. To clarify, my last box of clothes I sent to them were all brand new, never worn, never washed, with no defects and I took pictures of the inside and outside to prove it before sending the clothes. Two of the items I sent were a vest/pants set, but they only accepted the pants. Their excuse for only accepting half of my items was that they had too many of that type of item. WTH! It was a set, and there is nothing in their rules that they may reject clothing because they have too much of an item. They also shortened the sale window, and changed the rules for reclaiming the clothes that did not sell. A few years ago, this site was different but with all these changes, and made up new rules not written anywhere they are officially a scam now.
