Good Day The day before Xmas, at the boardwalk branch in PE, there was a female manager on duty, whom I’ve seen for the first time. She was very unhelpful & impolite. I hope she was just a backup and not permanently there, as I shop there every second day or so, being 4km from the boardwalk, also we are not at all accustomed to such bad service and attitude! Thank you for striving for good leadership which we are accustomed to at most, if not, all of the branches!, country wide … Sandton being my favorite branch!

Worst experience with wollies, purchased items online, never arrived from December till now, I was told cell number was incorrect, gave them a correct one, still failed to deliver, today I'm told it was out for delivery seven times but never reached me, because someone didn't update my info. Their system says it been delivered but I haven't seen my stuff. Total mess, confusion and lack of organization.

I usually cannot wait for the festive period to buy a fruit cake! What a huge disappointment this year! I do not understand what happened to WW quality control! Bought 2 in Polokwane and my daughter bought one in White River! Never again will I buy a fruit cake from WW's! Poor poor poor.........

Brooklyn Mall coffee shop The worst place ever!! I ordered a chai latte and the milk was sour and the taste was awful. Service was also very bad….i waited 25 min for that horrible chai. Employees are also incredibly rude and not very helpful…

I usually love Woolies 100% but however have a complaint with this particular item I purchased on the 30th of December 2024. A beautiful white ladies peakcap for my holiday in George. Unfortunately I found once wearing it that it was digging into my forehead. It is so uncomfortable to wear. I would not recommend anyone to purchase this cap. You might find the same discomfort as I do. So I can't even return it as I've used it at the pool. Photos to follow.

Dash delivery had missing items and the store made unauthorized substitutes. If an item is out of stock, then call or WhatsApp me so I can choose my own substitutes because your "choose a substitute" option on the App is a joke. It never allows me to pick a different product.

This is my excellent review on purchase of the turkey . My family friends and I have never tasted such succulent turkey . You have out did and top it all . Well worth the price I paid . Thankyou hope to see it more often not only at Christmas.

Tiramisu dessert and cake- the original was not on shelf so I grabbed the cake and the desert×2. It's edible however nothing great and tastes nothing close to tiramisu. It's expensive at the convenient store and a disappointment as after tasting no one even wants to eat it. It's palatable but disappointing if you're expecting a simple Teramissu end up with a vanilla sponge cake topped with super sweet mascarpone mouse that's tastes nothing like the mouse on the original tiramisu. R279 and R129 later only for it to be to sweet to our liking. Let's not talk of the craving that made me take the drive there and probably why the disappointment is even felt much more.

Bought the kiddies pizza squares and the poor quality received. There was hardly any cheese and the pizza base dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.

We were at waterfall corner and then they gave us the wrong Samosa flavoured we wanted mince meat and they gave us ham and cheese and there was a worker on her phone sitting in the corner she made us wait five minutes one star

Please check your gluten free products. It is the third time I have eaten gluten free products from woolworths and felt ill after eating it. The gluten free sponge cake and white bread need to be checked. I have spoken to 3 managers about this. They take your details and say they will get back to you. I am still waiting for a response. I have celiac disease.

The same scenario happened December 2023 as well. Woolworth online shopping leaves much to be desired, in fact there is a serious problem. 2023 and again Dec 13th this year I placed an online order from Spain for children clothing for my grandchildren´s Chirstmas box. The online website has a section ASKING FOR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS. My instructions were for the DELIVERY PERSON to contact my daughter-in-law (her mobile phone given), so that she can open the security gate to her complex. How difficult canthat be? Instead, I get an email telling me that I could not be reached on the day of delivery. I immediately replied to that email advising that the SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS were not followed - my email was not acknowledged. Daughter-in-law followed up with a phone call and was unsympathetically told that they could not help her - the goods were taken back to Woolworth and cannot be reissued. So who is in charge of online shopping and why are special instructions ignored?

I purchased 2 occasion dresses and pants on Woolworths online for an event for my children on the Black Friday sale three weeks ago. It started off with the courier company, Ram Courier, claiming that their driver couldn’t find my address, followed by a cat and mouse game with Ram Courier playing pick an excuse from, we can’t locate the address to the driver is in your area to we now can’t find your address to we don’t recognise your reference number. Then they just started hanging up on me after being on hold for up to 26 minutes. When I tried Woolworths customer care, their excuses ranged from the driver can find your address to we use different courier companies, including companies that cannot read a map, to our courier company doesn’t work on weekends. Even after insisting that the matter be escalated, no one from Woolworths has been in contact with me since 5 December. When I realised that no one was prepared to help me, I had to go and purchase backup outfits for the event, which I am glad I did because my phantom package still hasn’t arrived and no explanation. At this point, Woolworths has not offered an explanation or remedy to this unfortunate situation.

Terrible app.. sooooo slow... doesn't add items to the cart ... substitute items are pathetic.. shoppers useless.. ordered 400g strawberries... and no substitute given ... no chat either ... shopper unavailable... no app chat that actually works... maybe you should experience the checkers app ... its streaks ahead of woolworths!!! When is your app going to reflect the exorbitant prices you charge your customers 🙄

Highly DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED in Woolworths! I wanted to give one of the cashiers something that I paid for by me to be told they are not allowed? Excuse me how ridiculous is this? To find out it’s Woolworths policy? So let’s get this straight you’re allowed to allow everyone else the best of the best but not your own employees How shameful and disgusting. If someone pays for them who are you to decide otherwise? Who are you to take something away from them? I mean (may be false) but according to google you don’t pay them proper salaries either (once again may be wrong) But maybe time to wake up and treat your employees better. I don’t care for your reasoning it’s not good enough Manage it better then!

Dear Woolies Dash Your delivery service needs serious attention. You are competing against a Checkers Sixty Sixty and Pick n Pay ASAP which is FAR better than the Woolies Dash delivery service. It's disappointing and a disgrace to see that you NEVER have available delivery slots. Unlike your competitors who always have a delivery slot. I would have expected better service from a retailer who sells their products at an astronomical profit. Best you sharpen up your pencil Woolies Dash as your service is deemed as pathetic by many people and word of mouth is your strongest marketing tool. Just a friendly warning from an unhappy customer.

Horrible experience with online order. Order placed on the 1st of December, delivery date was 6th. Apparently the courier came on the 4th without any prior notification , I was not home and without even calling they just left . Status updated ‘we couldnt find you in the provided adress’. Since then everyday the parcel is out for delivery then nothing happens, called customer care numerous times without any resolution. At this point I think i will never receive it. It was worth just above 1000 Rand. Never never going to Woolworth again. Rather go to zara or forevernew.

I bought 4 packets of chips Woolworths hand cooked crips different flavors the roast lamb and rosemary flavor tasted burnt and the other packets tasted as if they had little stones and they were not fresh. Bought also a Woolworths custard it was spoiled.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent visit to your Blue Route store. The experience was not only appalling, but it also left me feeling humiliated and disrespected. I don’t even want to mention Colleen and Sharon, as their behavior was absolutely unacceptable. They did not represent the values that Woolworths is known for. The store manager, who claimed to work for Woolworths, failed to uphold the brand’s reputation. The treatment I received was nothing short of appalling, and it was far removed from the excellent customer service I expect from your brand. I spent over two hours standing at the counter, trying to resolve a simple issue, and during that time, I was treated as if I were a thief. Despite showing proof of payment for my transaction, I was wrongly accused. I explained that I made the payment via Apple Pay, and that I didn’t receive my receipt when I made the purchase. When I returned a faulty item, which was part of the purchase, they repeatedly told me they couldn’t find the payment, even though I provided all the necessary information. One staff member even mentioned that I had made a “food payment,” which was completely incorrect. I was passed from one manager to another, and none of them were helpful. Colleen even walked away from me while I was speaking to her. I felt like I was being watched by other customers, which added to the distress. I want to thank Vanessa, the store manager, who eventually assisted me. She was able to locate the receipt, and I appreciate her support. However, the lack of professionalism and the way I was treated up until that point was completely unacceptable. I want to make it clear that this experience was distressing, and I believe that race may have played a role in the way I was treated. The atmosphere created by the staff left me feeling like I was being judged unfairly. As a result of this incident, I have been issued a warning at work for being two hours late due to the time I spent at your store. I trust that this matter will be taken seriously, and I look forward to your response and a resolution to this complaint.

Callie a cashier at Waterstone SW went the extra mile. The product (American Style Hotdog) I bought had no barcode. She took out her own phone and went online to look the product up on Woolies app. This saved a lot of time not having to send someone to find the product on the shelf. She is extremely friendly and helpful. Much appreciated!
