“Signed up, that night they charged my card three times. The next day I Emailed them to complain. they said they won’t refund me because I received the items. They then took another payment. Yes I’m serious and no I had not received anything in 24 hours. Next day they charged me 2 more times. My bank in working with me to get it all refunded and to report them to trading standards and watchdog. You have the right to cancel any subscription within 14 days for any reason. They lie and tell you it’s impossible to cancel unless you pay them more money. This company is beyond unprofessional.”

We had this for a year and the toys are very cheap.
We had paid for the 12 months subscription and during this time period my card had expired luckily. We cancelled the service during the 12 months but come the end they still tried to take payment. They tried for a few months then seemed to give up. Then after another year had passed they tried again. And literally 10 minutes before writing this, another year has passed and they have tried once again, even though we contacted them after the last time and asked them to remove our details. I wonder how many people they are thieving from on a regular basis.”

“Waste of money!! Each box has 2 crappy toys in and 2 treats that would cost a few quid in any local shop. Do not sign up to this I've been stuck making payments for 2 years. I signed up to a 12 month subscription and tried to cancel once the year was up but they renewed it and said I was tied in for another 12 months. Thank god its finally finished and I wont have to waste another penny on this company.”
“This company is a scam!!! Toys they send is nowhere near value you pay for. Not to mention my dog has destroyed every single toy recived and his only 7 months old. On top of all this. You can't cancel subscription once you select term you want to use with them.
I selected 6 months but actual billing cycle is 7 months not 6 so they get maximum money out of you no matter how much you don't want it. You pay £22 and what you getbi side is worth less then £7 really don't waste your money read all the other negative reviews. You have been worned this was 1 of the worst mistakes of my life hands down. And legally you can't do anything as you agree with their crappy terms and conditions. Sham site sham company and very unprofessional stay away.”
“AVOID!!! This company uses ads that do not advise that Terms and Conditions apply, because their free item only applies to the 6 or 12 month subscriptions. Because of this, the advertisements are illegal”
“Very disappointing. Ended my subscription left a fair and honest review. Was then contacted and asked what the issues were. I explained, she offered me two free toys (we didn’t get) then asked me to remove my review. I told her no, as it was accurate. They then refused to verify me as a customer 🤣 to try and remove my review. The toys are incredibly poor treat packs are small and even sometimes £1 wagg treats. Keep your money and build your own! I was offered an upgrade to stronger toys, didn’t happen.”
“Very disappointed with buster box. Very misleading, each box has around £10 of crappy treats & toys. I got a 6 month subscription with buster box and we are on our 5th month and it is absolutely not worth the money at all. Each and every box has been fairly disappointing, with low quality, cheap toys and treats that if I bought myself, would be cheaper than paying the monthly subscription fee.
They advertise their treats as being high quality, good treats and that is blatant false advertising. The treats are usually packets of crappy treats you can get for £2 in a pound store with basically no meat content and all filler- I’ve not received one pack of treats that I would actually feed to my dog.
The toys are also not brilliant, though when I had contacted buster box with my complaints they ‘upgraded’ my box to include higher quality more durable toys, and since then the toys have been MUCH better quality, but before my complaint, I’d receive two plushy toys (not even dog toys) worth £1 or £2 each that i could have picked up in any toy store or pound store. In my recent boxes though I received better toys like a large rope, a tough chew toy, and plushies that were actually made for dogs. So, better, but still not great, and nothing even nearly worth the subscription price.
The only good thing and reason I haven’t cancelled my subscription yet is the subscription they give you to ‘vidivet’ which i have found very very helpful.”
“Avoid at all costs. Treats/toys aren’t worth the £19.99 and certainly aren’t suitable. Cancelled my subscription to realise its a contract (this was stated nowhere). I have been in touch with various team members to be told the same thing. Constantly being bombarded with failed payment emails. I have had to cancel through the bank to stop payments from being taken. I have asked for my account to be deleted and details removed. Yet to hear anything back.”
“Absolute con. Avoid completely. Once you sign up for 6 months, there is no way to cancel. It's not a subscription, it's a contract but they do everything they can to make you not realise that.”
“I wanted to cancel my subscription from buster box after 4 months, unfortunately said I can’t until 2 more billing cycles go past, I waited and today buster box charged me for 2 boxes at once, and when I logged on to see when it will cancel it showed up saying that it will cancel in 7 billing cycles, the products are okay quality but I would never subscribe again.”
“Signed up for the first free box which advertises you can cancel at any time. Now the cancellation page shows "Current cancellation is set to take place in 6 billing cycles". Journey of pages and form filling showed no reference to 6 billing cycles, until this point. So really I've just been scammed.”

“Thank god for the reviews!. My mother has this for her lab cross and said it will brilliant. Her first box she got 2 months worth and she seemed happy. However the quality of the subsequent boxes were poor. Agree that you could purchase all the content for less money. After looking on the site I was willing to give it a go for our new pup with the welcome offer of just paying the £1 p&p but thought best to check out the reviews first. Seems that in order to get this you must pay a minimum of a 6 months subscription hidden in the T and Cs which of course noone reads... thanks to you all .. ive decided just to do my own box every month and save a fortune and guess what I cancel that whenever I want!”

“Busterbox is barely one step up from a scam. the treats are ok, thought not even nearly worth the price and the toys are pound shop garbage that is not safe for dogs. You can cancel your subscription and they just keep taking your money regardless. Avoid at all costs, I regret ever hearing about this god awful company.”

“So far they've taken the payment, sent me a box at a random time, after insisting they will only send around the 15th, that they didnt know they had sent and didn't know what was in it ( concerning when they send you stuff that your dog eats). not taken any responsibility, all though did apologise. Blamed it on Hermes which I told them in advance would fail them and asked they use another corriour for me. they've not really listened to anything I've had to say, not taken responcilbity and they don't offer substantial solutions to problems. I will change this review as and when they fix up.”

I never leave negative reviews of companies but this had to be done. I signed up for the first free box, advertised that you could cancel at any point. Hidden right in the T&Cs it states that you have to pay for 6/12 months. The box was average... Dog destroyed the toy in minutes. When emailed to complain, received a generic reply which did not address any of the points raised. Terrible.”
