“CAFCASS are an absolute waste of taxpayer money. Without any proper basis or investigation of their own, they pass biased judgement on a parent after a 2 minute phone call and advise the court on their baseless conclusion - lies instead of reality, with their own bias weighing heavily instead of remaining impartial and as a result ignoring the best interests of the child. Even at the hearing she rudely told one side to "move away from the door in the common area, her CLIENT is coming through". How is this being transparent and unbiased if they have already decided without even speaking to the other parent that everything their "client" said is Gospel? They are supposed to work in the favour of the child and not be making recommendations without any due diligence. They make a decision based on the lies of 1 side of the story. They are extremely prejudiced against vulnerable people with disabilities and do not care if a child who is neurodivergent is left with the actual abusive parent, the instigator of problems, all because he is the one that has the child for his own selfish agenda, and as such removing the child from the vulnerable mother. They are incapable of behaving in a professional manner and only care about getting paid, even at the expense of ruining and traumatising lives. “Spoke to Emily today, with safeguarding information that was vital in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child in question I was not listened to and informed that the report had now been completed and to contact social services. She was completely dismissive, neglectful and rude. She was more concerned about getting me off the phone as opposed to actually conducting her work. I am very disappointed and fearful for the child in question in regards to her long term mental health. However, i was advised to call social services despite the fact that i highlighted i do not believe the risk to be imminent. I have no faith let in cafcass and do not believe they have the children’s best interests at heart!!!”
“Unprofessional from the start. Report was rushed, not evidence based, demonstrated zero understanding of the dynamics of power and control and how they impact on families and downplayed safe-guarding events. Wish I could rate a zero as their input is harmful and utter nonsense. Staff not adequately trained to assess or formulate difficulties and have the same one size fits all plan - family wizard, parenting together course which is inappropriate for a lot of cases. “Ive had Years of Issues with this Mob after my divorce. Like all service providers to goverment departments and Agencies, they get wage Bonuses for hitting productivity Targets, inotherwords emptying the IN Tray at the end of the month. They Reports are only as good as they are TEAINED to be Report Writers, which they don't recieve Training for ? They listen, select the points and Facts they want to hear to support their opinion, and write the report accordingly. Their Report's are like DWP and CAPITA assessment Reports, Full of Errors and Omissions of Important Facts, They are Short and WISHY WASHY, Not Consise and Direct to the Point, OPEN TO INDIVIDUAL INTERPRETATION so if Three people read the same report they would each come up with a different Descission. There is no Accountability just like the DWP etc. They are paid to "Review, Process, Resolve and Close Cases Down", and that's as simple as it gets.
They don't allow Recording because that would hold the Accountable for their Faliures. Not a bad Job for 64 Grand a Year ? Despite that they are Overworked and Understaffed and leave the profession in droves, Many of them formally worked for Social Services, and we all know how invpcompetant they have been since "BABBEY P" etc. Like all goverment departments like the NHS after a Death etc, "WE HAVE CHANGED AND PUT NEW PROCEEDURES IN PLACE SO THIS CAN NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN", and so it happens again and again.
After years of representing people in family divorce at the old Cambridge County Court, I found so may Errors , Omissions and issues in their Reports and Drew them across the Judge at the hearings, however they were only interested in setting up Residency and "PAIRENTING TIME", what we use to call "Contact". They still believe in the fact because the mother Carried, gave Birth and Life to the Babey / Child, they have a priority Neurological Biological Bond and there fore they are the Natural Pairent of choice and Cafcass will do anything and everything to support that opinion. Even though we now have Mutual Divorces without court hearings ?
I can't help but think WOMENS RIGHTS have Biastly influenced the core of Cafcass.
However, they also make some disastrous Contacts with Fathers where children have died ? So yet another "F'd up" organisation. I've also dealt with the CSA and then their transition to CMS, yet again the same staff and incompetace as just a Re Branding Smokescreen. Who are just as incompetant.”

I was demonised and stereotyped and made to feel like a criminal baselessly and entirely on my ex words. “I proved abuse by my ex partner by producing irrefutable evidence. He was found guilty of the abuse in family court & it was acknowledged contact between my child & his father was dangerous. The abuse wasn’t specific to myself, he threatened to kill my child to hurt me, he also shook him before I intervened.
Cafcass tried to play down the abuse & patronised me throughout the court process. Even laughing at points when I have questioned their negligent & highly inappropriate behaviour.
I was FORCED by the courts to grant access, if I didn’t, I was threatened that my child could be taken from me & given to our abuser! Apparently a few weeks on an online ‘rehabilitation’ course for domestic violence & alcohol related issues is sufficient enough to deem a previously violent man completely fine to have unsupervised access to a young child.
The whole process sickened me to my stomach, the stress made me ill & at the time my child was in & out of hospital with unexplained seizures. Cafcass & the courts during this awful time made me lose all faith in our justice system & as a result I quit my job in the police force (I was a serving officer at the time) I just don’t believe in our failing justice system anymore. Especially since the police are sadly also failing victims.
Contact took place for around a year. After this period the police & child social care were involved after my child started refusing to go to his fathers. It turns out my child wasn’t comfortable being forced to sleep in bed with their 60 year old step grandfather.. completely naked! and then again with his aunts naked boyfriend!
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, and you absolutely know your child is at risk from the other parent… take your child & run!
It’s much better than the outcome. Cafcass cannot be trusted to safeguard your children, nor can the courts.”
“Cafcass sadly tends to overload front line staff then criticise when things are not done . Staff then leave overwhelming other staff . It’s a simple fix but beyond cafcass management to understand as they employ more diversity trainers , managers , etc staff instead .”

Letting mother know when she will call and ask my son to write something about his wishes, all in my absence,while I was still cohabiting with my ex. She was grilled by my barrister in the trail about her partiality. Funny thing is that her English was bad but her report was with perfect English as if she had a template saved or someone else wrote for her.”
