“DC Law are seemingly completely overwhelmed and months behind any reasonable timeline for clients. They are not our solicitors, but unfortunately for us, they are our buyer's solicitor. Our transaction has been ready to complete for months, but due to the fact that emails are ignored and phonecalls literally never answered, we are 2 days away from losing our SECOND purchase while we wait for any kind of response from DC Law. The amount of money that we have lost due to the negligence of this company is unthinkable. Avoid at ALL costs and I would strongly urge anyone waiting for DC Law to do their jobs, report this joke of a firm to the Ombudsman and find a competent solicitor elsewhere.”

“Worst solicitors I've ever dealt with. I was recommended them by probate solicitors. They were instructed 6 months ago to do the conveyancing on my late Father's house. They still haven't sorted it, and have caused a problem of their own making, which is complicating matters. Even the buyers solicitors have had problems contacting them and getting any response. Their communication is the worse I've ever come across, if you send an email, they never reply. They are so slow, I'm surprised they're making any money. I keep expecting our buyers to back out of the sale. 3 times they've had to extend their rental lease on the property they live in at the moment.
Do yourselves a favour and avoid this company.”
“Do not under any circumstances put yourself through going with this company. For the past 6 months my life has been a complete joke, waiting on emails, on documentation, any form of update. When you do eventually get through to the staff, they are rude, unhelpful and cannot tell me anything about my completion date, which is now two months overdue. I’m at the end of my tendency so I will soon be homeless and second to that I am running out of cash, which is needed to purchase the house.
This is peoples lives you are messing with and I warn anybody using this company to be wise enough to not consider. I could understand given the current climate of the economic worries however in such a time, reassurance, communication and clarity are key. It’s ridiculous and something should be done about it.”

Easily the worst company i have ever dealt with or seen in my entire life. You only have to read all 168 shocking reviews below to understand what a an absolutely useless company they are. Absolutely zero response to any emails and absolutely zero answers to any phone calls at any point over the past 7 months. Everything is done on an online portal but you will never be able to contact a human to resolve any issues or even update them with any changes. Constantly messing up documents and asking for the same things to be completed over and over again that have already been completed. I would 100% pull out of any chain that involve DC Law as they will 100% end up making your chain fall apart. I have managed to pull my file and go with another solicitor to try and revive any hope of getting my move completed and i would recommend anyone else doing the same.

I completely agree with the other complaints here…. I have sold 2 houses through their services the first earlier this year eventually completed in June after I did all the chasing and donkey work after discovering the lies they told about not receiving documents they had actually received from estate agents Purple Bricks, that delayed 7 weeks! Purple Bricks sold another house for me a couple of months later they said all the stuff before would not happen again…. So so so wrong it’s a million times worse they have told numerous lies, not followed up other solicitors requests for information, never returned one of 42 emails & calls, completion was scheduled for 3 days ago the buyer was waiting for keys only for me to discover they hadn’t even requested the redemption amount from my bank & it’s a 5 day turnaround.
The EWay system they operate is totally useless, it’s still asking for information on the case that completed in June.
What a mistake going with them even after promises it wouldn’t happen again.
Today I spent 3 hours on the phone ringing DCLaw (19 calls before an answer from a human ) then speaking to 3 different people who gave 3 different excuses why completion never happened

“This company has made a complete mess of our property deeds and this has resulted in a duplicate record on the land registry. I have only just discovered this nearly a year on and am not sure how I am going to sort this out. Their staff were hopeless at responding to queries and the phone lines are just dead. If anyone has any way of contacting them, I'd be grateful to know this.”

“Currently using DC Law after recommendation from Coop Legal Services for probate. They are hopeless at best. Currently have a 3 week lead time on enquires and didn't think it appropriate to advise me as their client, but instead its ok I incur costs in the meantime. Shambles”

They have a system that means YOU end up doing all the work as you cannot communicate with anyone if there is a query. You are wasting your time and they don't care and it will take several months longer than most companies. In our case when we completed they didn't pay the stamp duty when they should have very worrying we think. Save yourself from this distress”
“It seems like everyone else I am having a bad experience.they do not communicate at any level and a basic form uploaded to eway is asking for a miracle for them to do ..my house sale is going to fall through if things don't rapidly change and unfortunately I have also used them to buy a house so I have 2 properties they are taking money for and I wish my estate agent had never told me about them ...emails,phone calls are wasted and I am at the point where I feel like driving the 2 hours to Southport to get answers”

“Better to run towards a Hungry Lion than using DC Law for anything. They are highly unprofessional and unresponsive. If I could, I would make that 1 star to - 100.
We went to then after being recommended by Connells for the our house sale (Connells STOP recommending them) and for the 1.5 months we were not even assigned a case reference despite work being done by a car worker who then left. It is the we found out and there was no apology from them.
Finally, a case was opened and the new case worker Sean, who is amateur at best, with us actually having to tell him what to do.
There have been so many delays that could have been avoided had Sean done his job properly the first time, like sending only one form when two were required, us having to make numerous calls and send numerous emails copying several people before we would get some response, and blaming us for sending emails and calls.
We have progressed far ahead now to get rid of them but even then I get the urge to cancel them and go with another solicitor. Think over million times before going with DC Law and go with them if you like delays and do not consider your sale or purchase worthwhile.”
