“We were told to use this firm through James at Purple Bricks. We were advised that Harold at DC law assured them that the service wouldn't be as horrific as the last time we used them. Surprise Surprise, it was equally as shocking. As i write this review, i have been trying to get hold of them for over an three hours 🙃 I am not hopeful we will complete when they say we are going to, despite us all taking time off work and putting our furniture into storage. I would suggest using a different firm if you are looking to move house despite what purple bricks tell you. Again, absolutely shocking.”

DC Law are the most horrendous, unprofessional, cowboy outfit I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with - very shocked that they were recommended by Fox & Sons the estate agents! Leaving basic checks and paperwork undone, virtually impossible to contact, rarely return a call. Honestly they’ve made our house purchase the most miserable experience possible. Have bought and sold a number of houses and have never ever had such a terrible experience.
Even sending items to them special delivery was a nightmare as they have some odd postal redirection system. I’m astounded that such an unprofessional organisation can continue to trade.
Go with a local conveyancer - the small cost savings are NOT worth this misery.”
“Upon completion of my property purchase 2 1/2 years ago I am still waiting for a fee, due to the Property Maintenance Company, to be transferred to them. Emails, telephone calls and correspondence have all been ignored.
The amount concerned, £181.00, was deducted in my final account with yourselves.
Communication was not great during my dealings with your company and upon completion it took 7 days for the proceeds of my sale to be transferred, and that only took place because I called Head Office.
I have, yet again, telephoned and left a message today 27/9/23 (was promised an Urgent call back on Monday 25/9/23 - didn’t happen) plus I have now sent a further two emails- which I expect to no avail.
Maybe you might just take notice of a poor review, but the….

“Its now 2023 and 14 months since completion yet DC LAW seem totally incapable of closing Land Registration, they blame Land Registry but Land Registry confirm application cancelled due to lack of response from DC LAW in Nov 2022. Just endless excuses and their post completion department are incompetent to the extreme because you never get a person assigned and you have to go through the same explanation every time. If you want stress free conveyancing and professionalism never even consider this group.”

They refuse to communicate on any level, DC Law have not checked if funding was in place on a mortgage further down the chain, and 6 months later..... still no further down the line. I'm sorry to say that using DC Law has been a huge mistake! They have made what is a difficult and stressful time since losing my Mum an horrendous experience, the lack of contact and me constantly chasing them has stressed me out and increased my Grief 10 fold! Their actions have delayed the house sale and are now incurring unnecessary cost onto Mum's ESTATE! I'm at my wits end!

“Unfortunately, I read super positive comments on the TrustPilot before we have decided to go ahead with DC Law. I will never ever recommend them to anyone. We’ve eventually completed on our sale and purchase, but it was very stressful process. There was hardly any communication between us and DCLaw. They were constantly ignoring our calls and emails. Disaster. Two months after the completion we are still awaiting paperwork from them. Please do not work with them!”

The completion date keeps moving time after time. They lose documents and raise further enquiries the day before completion. My mental health and my finances are taking a real battering.”

I had 5 different coveyancers working on my file with little or no communication from them. Also they seem to forget that you are the client as when you ask for documents they seem very reluctant to help you as it has to be reviewed first, what absolute rubbish”
