“New customer here. Can't phone my daughter as the correct number I dial says 'you've dialled an incorrect number '. Sending SMS messages is hit and miss. App no longer works so unable to check my usage. Receive messages saying I've had a missed call when the call hasn't reached my phone. Dialling a number often takes twice as long thanks to a pregnant pause before I hear the ringing. I could go on.”

My phone stopped working a week ago for no reason, I cannot get through to their customer service. AFTER A WEEK I finally got through to someone who 'put me through to the manager.' THAT WAS 20 MINUTES AGO, STILL WAITING!!!!
And that is after a promise that the manage will be on in 2 MINUTES.

“I'm uncertain whether Lyca is the worst telecom provider in the UK or if all other providers have similar issues. I purchased Lyca's National Plus plan a month ago, but the bundle hasn't been allocated to my SIM. Since I've updated this number everywhere, including NI, banks, and other portals, I have no choice but to retain it. I've been contacting their customer care for a month to restore my package, as money has been deducted from my account. Despite multiple follow-ups, the issue persists, and I've been repeatedly told it will be resolved in a couple of days. I'm unsure whom I should escalate this matter to for a resolution.”

Try to contact customer service (which is a foreign call centre) and after 45 minutes of holding, they cut you off anyway when they go and “check your account history”, the irony of which is there is no account history because I was a brand new customer. Ha!
I wish I had thought to check the reviews before I signed up but I didn’t, so let that be a lesson to me.
Maybe I’m lucky, but I have honestly never come across such poor customer service before, it’s immensely frustrating. I wouldn’t even mind if they’re online forms, post order, did what they were supposed to… My old sim is back in my phone and I will be cancelling all future payments to Lyca.”

Obviously it is a very simple and user friendly process to sign up to, pay for, and request a pay monthly sim. Call me cynical but if this part of the process was a nightmare, you wouldn’t even go there… and they don’t want that do they…
Once the sim finally arrives c/o Royal Mail (who seem to be having their own problems lately) then the ‘fun’ begins.
Try to register your sim for an account… good luck cos that ain’t happening

“The worst experience you could possibly have with a mobile company.
- Zero 4G / 5G service on an iPhone 13
- Zero phone signal in most places
- Couldn't use the phone as a hotspot
- Cannot phone customer service to speak to an actual human
- Live chat takes over half an hour to connect with someone. If you don't reply within 2 minutes they end the chat. If you continue asking them to resolve the numerous issues, they end the chat.
- They suggest emailing Customer Service - they don't respond.
- Their PAC process doesn't work - completely lost my old number and the process has been going on a week.
- If you decide to go to a new provider, the old PAC code won't work.
Does that cover it? There isn't a single thing this company has done right - I would avoid it like the plague.”
“I have only joined around three weeks ago and can't get mobile wifi, or contact essential numbers including my partners. I also can't connect to the online portal as it say's it does not recognise my number. Four days ago I asked for my PAC number/code so I could move on. Everyday I have sat for nearly an hour trying to get through to someone just to be told they would escalate my "claim". It has angered me so much I have contacted Ofcom to complain. They tell me I should have had a code within a minute not four days and have contacted Lyca. When i text PAC to the number they provide, it comes back saying the request has failed and to contact customer services. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.!!”
“My experience with Lyca was terrible. The customer service representatives were incredibly impolite and unhelpful; they couldn't assist me in obtaining the PAC code I needed, forcing me to use a new number. Additionally, the system management was abysmal. I had successfully registered and logged in before, but suddenly I couldn't log in anymore. The customer service team's solution was for me to register again, which was frustrating. After this experience, I have decided not to use Lyca services anymore.”
“Dreadful Customer Service, I’ve been calling and emailing and after 3 days still can’t get a PAC code from them. I’ve spent about 5 hrs calling customer services and am no closer to getting help”
“Customer service is absolutely abysmal. I'm on a bundle where they should have taken the money but failed to do so due to technical difficulties on their side and they cant reinstate the DD. I'm unable to make any outgoing calls or send texts. Have to hold for at least an hour every time I call them before speaking to someone. And lo and behold they just disconnect your call during the middle of it. Happened 3 times continuously. Their live chat doesn't work, keeps saying try another time. I totally wasted more than half of my day trying to reach to someone who doesn't disconnect the call. Online login to my account doesn't work, cant get CS to speak, cant make calls or send texts. Absolutely hopeless mobile company. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if allowed.”
