Mail Manager helps us as a small practice ensure that each of the team can review correspondence progress. It is terrific to have a multi-layered search function to find key pieces of information. We welcome new updates on the programme as remote working and multiple devices are now part of all work practices. Thanks.

The product itself is great. The billing structure is a bit naughty. When we first started using mail manager we purchased some licences to keep, that came with an optional, renewable, annual maintenance packages. Couple of years down the line they started asking for the annual service charge per licence (granted you get any software updates included and help from the tech team if there are any issues) But I did not want it as we never used the support and the software was working fine without the updates. BUT... now if you do not renew the service charge each year... they take the licence you purchased from you!! My view is you should be able to keep the licence but waiver your rights to updates and support. Have tried 2 or 3 times to make this point but get nowhere so just end up paying it. Found out that last year we got over charged by 6 renewals so they offered to under charge us by 6 this year. What happened next.... they cancelled 6 of our licences!! Like I said, good product but it's just not a smooth process.

The product as it stands is good—it does what it says in the tin. I echo the praise offered by other reviewers. But there are obvious areas for improvement, and the pace of development is slow. Customer service and support is very good.

An excellent solution. It has allowed us to consolidate information back to projects over a period of 10 years. The Social mapping of project communications is very intuitive and we would love to see further development of this. Very stable and simple to deploy. Worthwhile for us as a small organisation.

This is a very good system for filing e-mails on a projectby project basis. It is integrated to oprate within MS Outlook and makes intelligent suggestions where each email should go - is mainly right, and if not, it's easy to redirect. It also allows you to create new Computer folders without leaving outlook and also prompts you to file every e-mail you send as you issue it, and has an easy search system. I have one roving licence so it works on any computer I am using. I have no hesitation in recommending this programe, it will save a huge amount of time!

Easy to use and configurable for most situations. Very effective for sharing emails for people working on a project. Support has been quick and helpfu.

There is some metafile information that assists with automatically directing emails to their proper locations which is good. Less good is that, once filed, I'm no longer able to access the emails on my phone. The interface could also use some work - a bit clunky.

A really simple way to file email with a click of a button - I'd be lost without it! Lucy and Jay were very supportive throughout the whole procurement and installation process - thanks!

Really flexible and foolproof way to file both emails and attachments. The search feature makes finding collegues messages on related projects really easy too

It's simple - without it we would be lost. I wouldn't like to hesitate a guess how much time we would spend hunting for email correspondence throughout our organisation without it. Luckily the current pricing structure is fair and hopefully it stays that way. Customer service is always good but thankfully haven't had cause to use them too much as the software works perfectly for what we require.

An easy mail management system with good search and retrieval facilities. Good and prompt response to the occasional issue - mainly related to releasing seats when shutting down and opening up on laptop. Does seem to fight with either Outlook or Norton in delaying upload of new emails, but as a sole practitioner I couldn't do without it.

Very good product for quick and easy filing. Perhaps expanding the feature to use or connect with category colour coding system of the outlook may be beneficial and help in organisation of information visually to improve user interface experience.

Overall very pleased with the product, however we do sometimes have issues with users not being able to file emails correctly. Where problems arise the support has been quick and rectified any problems. overall would recomment

Very useful tool for storing and searching emails. We probably don't use all the functionality as much as we should as we haven't investigated much beyond the basics. Customer service has been very good.

It's a great tool, I have a Inbox and Outbox in each of my project files. Every new project is added to the locations and once that is done I save received and sent emails accordingly in their respective project folders. The emails are saved with a subject description and date code that sorts them for easy review and retrieval if required.

It's actually pretty good (I used to use Edocs), but obviously still has some rough edges under development: Eg. After filing, Move to Filed Items; if you tick "And file the message I'm replying to" MM also files the original message which is good but doesn't also move it to "Filed Items" -it doesn't even appear in deleted items (this is a serious flaw). Also it would be nice to add a delayed send feature. I know I can achieve this with a rule in outlook but it's a bit fiddly. WTF: the questions on this form are about Postal/Courier services -I thought Mail manage was software for emails?

Hi S.P. Thanks for your review, we're glad you're enjoying the use of Mail Manager. The point you've made about the email you've received not going into Filed Items has been picked up by our Development Team and should be changed in a future release! If you ever spot anything like this or would like us to assist in any way, please just drop an email to support@mailmanager.com and we'll assist wherever we can and get anything like this fed back to our Development Team. There are some real failures in retrieval and filing - and I've tested it. For retrieval, I open the search window and type in a known "Subject" or the "Search Terms" (it happens with both), and the email does not show up in the results literally nothing shows in the results. Folks in my office work on 3-5 projects at a time, but I work on all of the 150+ and I always put the project name in the subject line for all communication (copy and paste it in the email subject line from my project list) yet, I can never find anything by looking in all emails from "Subject" or "Search Terms". I have to go directly to the location folder (that it should be in) and search by "from: my name". to find the emails. But the failure happens if that is not helpful at all if I have filed it in the wrong location. If I have filed it in the wrong project, I will never find it again unless by accident. For filing, it is not nearly intuitive enough. Like I stated earlier, My emails all have the project name in the subject line, copied and pasted from our project list for 100% accuracy. Yet the intuitive filing suggestions rarely ever suggest it. The top 5 email storage locations suggested are the filing locations that I've used with the individual that I am emailing. If all my "1234 Acme project" always is filed in "1234 Acme project" then why are the suggestions never "1234 Acme project"? I always have to go to "More locations and options" type in the preferred location name and file. Honestly, I think this takes way more time for me than the "rules" method I used that is built into Outlook. For the folks in the office that are working on 5 projects, I think this is fine. I absolutely love the idea because being cc'd on emails is often forgotten so I can go into the location files and search for items I'm missing without bothering project managers, but for me, it is a lot of effort and when I need to retrieve things, it is a lot of headache.

Excellent tool, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to store and retrieve emails. It would be nice to have an option to select the project to file to and have mail manager fill in the subject line with the project reference.

From an ICT perspective, assistance with implementation was very good, easy to follow and easy to deploy. Updates happen without ICT interaction which is also a plus.
