I've tried various diet tracking apps as well as dieting on my own without a program. These methods lacked the tailored support that enabled me to have success with MyBodyTutor. I struggled with maintaining a consistent, healthy diet. I could remain on track for several weeks only to eventually be derailed by a sports injury or intense period at work, during which I used food to cope with the stress. I found out about MyBodyTutor through a Google search but wondered if it was worth the cost compared to free or cheaper alternatives. My hope before joining was to improve my fitness and feel more energized, and MyBodyTutor has delivered on that and more. MyBodyTutor provides institutional and interpersonal support that promotes accountability and success. Working with a professional who provided daily feedback on my nutritional and exercise choices was significantly more effective than merely inputting my meals into an app. The MyBodyTutor team was “in my corner,” while other app-based programs were isolating and relied entirely on my self-discipline, which would wear thin during periods of high stress. My tutor, Matt, helped me develop a routine predicated on low-impact but filling nutritional choices and near-daily exercise. We accounted for the occasional indulgence—a scoop of ice cream or a glass of wine—all while keeping me on track and working towards my goals. I lost 22 pounds while using MyBodyTutor for three months. In addition to dramatically improving my fitness (running and lifting), I feel more energized during the workday (fewer crashes), and my clothes fit more comfortably. Importantly, I realized these tremendous improvements despite dealing with the ebbs and flow of life like periods of high stress at work, sports injuries and illnesses, and travel. MyBodyTutor does not rely on fitness shortcuts or fads but instead emphasizes making consistent, healthy choices. Like most people, I could already make good dietary and exercise choices for short durations—the trick was to develop a sustainable routine. MyBodyTutor provided the tools and support to help me consistently make the healthy choices that were foundational to my success.

In my late 20s I had a year of back to back to back trauma. I eventually found a great therapist to start working through it all, but I had slowly gained 90 pounds over 15 years. That’s about 6 pounds a year that just crept up on me. Last year when I had my daughter, I knew I needed to take back control. I needed to be able to show her how a woman is supposed to take care of her body. So I started doing some research. I was reading books and trying to get my mindset right. The problem was that my mindset was where it needed to be, I was just having a hard time breaking the bad habits. I heard Adam talking to @beardybrandon on the Better Life podcast in February of this year and it finally clicked. I needed accountability to break the old habits and re-learn the good habits. I didn’t want to diet. I wanted to naturally make better choices and having someone looking over my choices on a daily basis sounded scary, but I wanted to change more than anything. I’m in my mid forties now and knew this would not be an easy task. We started out making very small changes with eating and exercise until I was able to start making bigger moves with resisting cravings and walking more. Jess was so good at giving me gentle nudges and not making indulgent choices a big deal. In February I was averaging 3,900 steps a day and at least one stop at a fast food place a day, some days it was for food and some it was for a Coke. In October I averaged 9,500 steps a day and only ate fast food 3 times the whole month, with zero cokes! I cannot believe I lost 25 pounds. I have so much more energy and I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me in the next few years. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

I’m developing good and realistic habits that are becoming a daily part of my routine. I’m starting to feel lighter and my clothes are starting to feel looser! I’m feeling hopeful that I can reach my goals. And I am so grateful for that! I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

I first heard about MyBodyTutor on the My First Million podcast. At that point, I had tried almost every diet you can name: Keto, Whole30, Intermittent Fasting, Slow Carb, and even going vegan. Consistency was always the issue. No matter what I tried, I would lose a ton of weight for special occasions only to slowly gain it back. I was exasperated. Before signing up for MyBodyTutor, I wasn’t sure how it could be any different. I already knew all the diet tips and exercise tricks, but nothing was sticking. I really needed someone to hold me accountable. Since hiring someone to follow me around all day wasn’t an option, MyBodyTutor did the next best thing. With MyBodyTutor, there are no gimmicks—just straightforward, 24/7 support, advice, and accountability. If you’re honest, your coach will figure out what’s going on with you, and you can beat it. Since starting with MyBodyTutor, I’ve lost about 60 lbs. The original number I had in mind was honestly pretty arbitrary. What really matters is how much better my life is now. I used to struggle to jog half a mile, but now I can easily run 3 miles and am training for a half marathon. My energy levels are through the roof. I look and feel great. And all this hasn’t just changed me—it’s changed my family. Everybody in my family eats better now because of the example I’ve set. Eating well and exercising is second nature to me at this point (except for the occasional absent-minded meal prep session where I prep double-sized chicken bags, haha). I feel great about the trajectory I’m on. I originally signed up for MyBodyTutor to prepare for a major surgery that was supposed to give me a "new lease on life." It was absolutely the right move. The surgery was a complete success—reconstructing my jaw and airway—and between that and my weight loss, I look like a completely different person. Now, I’m in a place where I’m lifting weights, training for a half marathon, and preparing for the birth of my son, but I’m confident in the lifestyle changes I’ve made. MyBodyTutor didn’t just change my habits—it changed my life. And for that, I am immensely grateful.

I really appreciate the recommendations my coach Amanda has made for healthy foods I can have on hand for days when I don’t have time for much meal prep. I love that I'm getting long walks in with my dog without my wonky leg stopping me. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

I've been working with My Body Tutor (MBT) for five months, and it's truly made a difference. My Body Tutor always has the right advice, offering practical solutions that fit me perfectly. It’s not just another generic “eat this, don’t eat that” program – it’s specific to me. It all began with an extensive questionnaire so MBT could match me with the perfect tutor, Micki. I couldn’t have imagined a better fit—Micki understands my needs, way of thinking, and past experiences in a way that makes the process feel tailored specifically for me. Like many, I’ve tried countless diets, and over the years, I’ve lost and gained about the same 25 pounds multiple times. Those programs only worked while I was on them, and I’d slip back into old patterns soon after, regaining the weight. None of them helped me get to the very specific answers I needed like Micki has. Regular videos and email posts from Adam help lead me and help me think about food and my response, and that is only the beginning! Each week, Micki and I dive into what’s working and what isn’t. Through texts and emails filled with pointed information throughout the week, she responds to our excellent phone conversations and my eating diary that is connected to her. I am not embarrassed when I eat too much or pig out on sweets. When I overeat or have a bad week, it’s not about shame; it’s about figuring out why that happened. Instead of the usual “just have more willpower” or “hide the food,” Micki and I look at the whole picture. Maybe I missed a meal, didn’t eat enough protein, or lacked healthy fats at breakfast. Each “slip” is a chance to learn something new and set a very specific goal for the following week. For example, I love spending time with my grandchildren, but after a busy day of taking care of them, I’d find myself unwinding in front of the TV with a treat that turned into multiple days’ worth of indulgence! Micki helped me realize that it wasn’t just about the food—it was my way of rewarding myself for a fulfilling but exhausting day. So, we worked together to find ways to manage that end-of-day energy crash, and now I know how to satisfy my needs in a healthier way and one that I truly like even better! One of the biggest changes has been my deeper connection to food and how my body responds to how I take care of it. I’ve learned to listen to what my body needs and understand that eating well throughout the day keeps my cravings in check and my energy levels steady. Micki has helped me see that food isn’t just fuel; it’s also tied to my emotions and how I feel physically. Now, instead of fighting cravings, I feel more in tune with my body’s needs, and I can make choices that satisfy me both physically and emotionally. Even when a solution only worked temporarily, it was still a learning experience. Every time I hit a roadblock or fell back into an old pattern, it wasn’t a failure—it just led us to the next step. Micki always had another idea or tool for me to try. Over time, these small steps added up, and I now feel equipped to handle whatever comes my way, not with more willpower but with a deeper understanding of my physical and emotional needs throughout the day. I’ve already lost half of the weight toward my goal, and I continue to lose weight at a slow, steady pace—which is perfect for me because I’m not actively trying to lose weight. Instead, I’m focused on managing my eating habits and lifestyle, and the weight is naturally coming off. I feel confident that I’ll reach my goal weight soon. The changes have been subtle, but they’ve been exactly what I needed and have added up in a real way that have made a big difference. I am loving MyBodyTutor! I am learning a lot! It is a freeing feeling to approach food in a different way. Nothing is bad or prohibited unlike all the other diets I have been on. My coach is excellent. I am learning a lot about healthy choices with her. Excellent coach that is helping me in my specific circumstances of work and family to learn about food, and how emotions influence choices.

I learned so much from working with Cheryl at My Body Tutor. The program was instrumental in helping me have more awareness around food and why I am motivated to use food for other purposes instead of fuel. I really appreciate learning to slow down and listen to my body, instead of just using other methods like counting calories or points, that may help you lose weight short-term, but don’t really help you get in touch with your body and what will serve you best. It also helped me grow to value movement and exercise for how they make me feel, instead of just feeling like something I have to do. The phone calls with Cheryl were great for helping me see my progress, and also to dig deeper into challenges, to problem solve and find solutions to tricky times or scenarios where I fall into traps of over-eating. It also helped me find ways to support myself and my well-being in useful ways instead of using food. I’m still a work in progress but I feel like this program has given me so many tools I can use for the rest of my life to support my health and wellness. I also love the videos and emails from Adam and Hailey. They are so insightful and helpful…and fun. I’m so grateful for this program and its teachers.

For the longest time I struggled to get my weight under control - it's a familiar story to many people. I would try a diet, I would tell myself THIS time it will be different, and for a while it would be. However, inevitably, my mind and body would rebel and I would fall back into the same old habits. Then I would always commit to starting the next day, or week, or month, and we all know how that goes. The system Adam has set up here with the help of his awesome coaches is a system for sustained success. The addition of true 3rd party accountability over a long time frame generates real and true results that, by the end, feel as routine as waking up and brushing my teeth. And while there are ebbs and flows, and things aren't always in a straight line, the coaching through those moments, both good and bad, is so incredibly helpful and has allowed me to lose and keep off 25lbs. I couldn't recommend MyBodyTutor more to anyone seeking a true lifestyle and mindset change. It won't be easy, but nothing good ever is.

My Body Tutor's weight loss techniques are simple and effective. Coach Angie taught me to listen to my body and my hunger cues, which is a much more sustainable method for me than other weight loss programs I have done. I felt that she really cared about me, never judged me and always encouraged me. I highly recommend this program to help back on track and to be able to use moving forward. Adam was flexible and easy to communicate with. I really appreciate the care I received in my experience with My Body Tutor.

My tutor helped me reframe my all-or-nothing mindset and soften my inner critic. Margeaux’s coaching style made a lasting impact - I’m used to bullying myself so her method of gentle nudges and finding and celebrating even the smallest positives on a difficult day was like a soothing balm. She showed me that it’s about the small, consistent actions that build over time, rather than striving for perfection. She guided me to see that it’s not just about the numbers on the scale, but about building lasting habits around exercise and food.
