When I started this journey a year ago, I was 230+ pounds. I'd spent the last twenty years yo-yoing between 215 and 245+, gaining and losing the same weight over and over again in a cycle of crash dieting, falling off the wagon, and then starting over again. When I started MyBodyTutor, my big goal was to get to 215 and sustain it. I had never been able to stay there for long. Then I got to 215, and I thought "Why not 210?" When I hit 210, I thought "Maybe 205 is doable?" Outside of one brief stint with an incredibly unsustainable crash diet, I hadn't been anywhere near 200 pounds since high school. MyBodyTutor changed all of that. Not only did I get below 205, I stayed there. I'm now hovering between 197 and 202 on any given day. That's happened despite the busiest travel calendar I've ever had, not to mention family vacations, client dinners, etc. etc. Chris has been an incredible coach since day one. He listened to me and understood where I was, what I had tried, what hadn't worked, etc. He built a plan that worked with my lifestyle, my travel schedule, and my strengths and weaknesses. He held me accountable, encouraged me, and showed me that I had what it took to make this happen. For the first time in my life, I feel like I have a healthy, sustainable relationship with food, movement, and my own body. I no longer worry about holidays, parties, or occasional indulgences, because I know how to balance those things in the moment, and I know how to get back on track afterwards. MyBodyTutor gave me that toolkit, and I am forever grateful. I will be forever grateful for MyBodyTutor, and for the life-changing results it has provided. I have recommended MyBodyTutor to several people already, and I will continue to do that in the future. Thank you both for everything. You guys are amazing.

I just wanted to say thank you because joining MyBodyTutor has changed the way I approach my health and my relationship with food. The daily check-ins kept me grounded and consistent, but what really made the difference was the human connection. It wasn’t just about what I ate but it was also about understanding the why behind my choices. MyBodyTutor helped me rewire my thinking, improve my relationship with food, and finally feel in control of my habits. I’m walking away with results I’m proud of and a mindset I can carry forward. I’m really grateful for the program.

Working with My Body Tutor completely transformed my approach to health and fitness. Before starting, I had tried literally everything under the sun to lose weight; fad diets, extreme workouts, calorie counting; you name it, I have tried it. Nothing worked for the long term, and I always ended up beyond frustrated and discouraged. But with My Body Tutor, everything finally clicked. I lost 20 pounds, but the real victory was in the sustainable, lasting changes I made. It wasn’t only about shedding the extra weight but also about building a solid foundation for healthy eating, consistent habits, and a lifestyle I could maintain. The program isn’t about quick fixes but real, lasting progress. My coach, Amanda, was incredible. She was there every moment of the way, offering personalized support, guidance, and encouragement. She truly understood me and helped me navigate the tough days. Amanda helped me understand the WHY behind everything I did; why I made certain food choices, why I had cravings, and why small, consistent changes add up over time. I completely shifted my mindset. The most amazing part? There was no starvation, deprivation, or unrealistic expectations. I learned how to make smarter food choices, enjoy my meals, and still feel energized and satisfied. For the first time in years, I felt like I wasn’t fighting my body; I was working with it. Losing 20 pounds felt amazing, but the fundamental transformation was how I now feel empowered and confident in my health journey. I feel in control of my choices, more connected to my body, and excited about my future. If you’ve tried everything and feel like you’ve hit a wall, My Body Tutor is the answer. It’s not just another diet—it’s a true lifestyle change!

I cannot say enough good things about MyBodyTutor, and my coach Abby. I have paid THOUSANDS of dollars trying to change my relationship with food, without gaining a lot of weight, or being too restrictive and NOTHING has had the impact MyBodyTutor is having. The accountability is key and Abby's insights and perspectives are incredibly profound. She is like a therapist, fitness coach and nutritional counselor wrapped up in a lovely human being, (with a delightful Scottish accent, which who doesn't love!!) Thank you for this program, and thank you for having Abby on your team!

just want to acknowledge how Adam runs MyBodyTutor. I have not paid or been a client in well over a year and Adam still checks in with me. It's a real testament to who he is as a person and how he runs his business. The fact that he takes the time shows that he really cares and it's really inspiring. It is a great example of how someone should be running their business and looking after their clients, and in this case, non-clients. He still goes above and beyond. Kudos to you sir.

I have always struggled with my weight and really understanding nutrition. I tried every “diet” under the sun and definitely was one of those that wanted the quick fix. I had lost weight in the past, especially right before my wedding, but never fixed my relationship with food—just knew how to “eat less.” Ever since my wedding and a back injury shortly after, I felt like I was in a spiral and so uncomfortable in my skin… which is what made me start looking for something different. I’ve done every diet—from Whole30, Weight Watchers, Noom, and juice cleanses. I now know they didn’t work for me because they were not teaching me consistency... just deprivation. I wanted someone to hold me accountable—and I’ll be honest, even when I started, I thought I was going to have to still be in this deprivation. But I wanted someone to report to if that’s what it took. So I took the leap of faith and hoped putting my money into it would keep me on track. Weight loss was definitely my goal and what I wanted. But, I was afraid it would just be the next thing I tried… maybe lose weight, and then gain it all back again. Since joining, it’s been going AMAZING. I have lost 25 pounds and gained my confidence back and KNOW I’m not going to gain it back. I absolutely know I can keep losing more, which is such a new feeling. My coach Emily was absolutely amazing, and I think the best lesson I learned was consistency NOT perfection. The slip-ups were absolutely OK if I got right back on track the next day. And the gradual nature of the program—no crazy shift in everything, just the little tweaks in the beginning. I started in the summer and had beach weekends and events, and the only “rule” was to put what I wanted on a plate and not graze the snack tables. Then we would make more and more goals and adjustments gradually. But not ONCE did I feel like I had to give up any of my favorite foods. Just learned to be more mindful and also notice how food made me feel. I cannot thank her enough for also never making me feel bad when I had an indulgent weekend… just had me reflect on how I felt, and then for the next planned indulgent weekend, we would set limits that let me choose when it was worth it or not, so that I could hit these bigger goals I had. And then I started loving setting these goals. I’ve always loved working out and was big on cardio, but learned more about fueling my body and how to increase my TDEE with simple movements like walking and weightlifting. Had a walking pad I never used, and decided—let’s walk a couple miles during the week while I worked (I work from home) and started doing focused lifts. It’s just a whole new routine. I waited to do this review for a couple weeks after I “graduated” MyBodyTutor, just to see—did I go back to my old ways? NOPE. Even with the 4th of July and a ton of travel this month, I’m so in love with this lifestyle, I do not wanna go back to my old ways. My husband has even lost 20 pounds because he started doing everything I was doing and now we both love it. I can’t thank MyBodyTutor enough. It’s not a diet! It’s the ticket to change your lifestyle. But I would warn anyone—it TAKES TIME. You didn’t gain the weight overnight, you won’t lose it overnight… BUT the time passes regardless. I can’t believe I started a little less than a year ago, and there were many weeks I didn’t lose weight. I’m very social, I travel for work, and love to travel the world (even went to Germany and Austria for Oktoberfest during my journey)—that’s life! You’re supposed to enjoy life. Have the cookie, make the memories… but the rest of the time, hit those goals that make you FEEL amazing.

MyBodyTutor helped me completely change how I think about food and fitness, not just for now, but for the long haul. After six months, I hit my target body weight and body fat goals, but more importantly, I learned how to make those results stick. This wasn’t some crash diet or quick fix. It was about building habits I can actually live with. Now I know how to eat in a way that works for my life, not just for a few months. I feel in control, and I know I won’t have to ‘start over’ again in six months like I used to.

I have been with My Body Tutor, and my coach, Laurie, for the past two and half years. I have gained so much awareness into my struggles with eating in that time. It's less about information (although I also gained that) and more about being able to recognize my own thoughts and triggers. Day in and day out, Laurie has been there for me, even when I didn't really feel like being there. I started this program two months after the loss of my husband when I was at my highest weight. During this time, I have lost about 20 pounds. That may not seem like a lot. But when you add grief to uncontrolled eating, it's very difficult. More important to me than the weight loss is the fact that I did not gain weight following his death. I was worried about that. It could very easily have happened, but it didn't because Laurie, gently (most of the time!) and carefully nurtured me through this difficult time.

I felt like food controlled me, and that resulted in my body not looking the way I wanted it to. I felt like I couldn’t do anything about it. I tried to lose this weight for the last 12 years or so and did self-defeating behavior each time I got partway to the goal. And the goal in my mind before was to be a certain weight instead of to eat more reasonably and healthy. I tried a number of the free calorie-counting apps and focused on trying to exercise it off, which for me is much easier than changing my eating habits. I found the counting calories to be tedious, and it’s nearly impossible for someone who works full time to exercise enough to lose more than a couple pounds. The real reason nothing worked for me in the long term, though, wasn’t the tools I used, but my mindset. I wasn’t fully committed to myself—the lure of delicious food at open houses, parties, events, new restaurants, and my love of baking won out. I’ve always understood the effectiveness of coaching in achieving great results, whether it’s at work, in sports, in music—in anything. I decided this year that I would change my self-defeating behavior, and I accepted that I was not getting the results I wanted by myself. I began a search for weight loss coaching programs, and this one appealed to me. In my mind, the goal was “to be 50 again!” To me that meant losing that “last 10 lbs,” and committing to a workout routine on a regular basis so I would look great—or at least as good as I used to. I had already lost 12 pounds maybe 7–8 years ago, but that wasn’t as hard because I had been overeating so very much. This “last 10” was the struggle for the last 6–7 years. My goal wasn’t to be thin or look like a model, but to be a normal, not chubby weight and look the way I picture myself—in this case, when I was 50. And I wanted to find a way of eating that was sustainable for me. By the time I signed up, I was sure I wanted to do it. I altered my goal a little to learn to eat in a healthier way that would be my new eating habits forever, not a diet to lose weight. I’ve lost 12.5 pounds since I started the program. I met my goal of the “last 10,” and my friends and family have all noticed. One of my former neighbors who I hadn’t seen in a year told me I was aging younger! I feel like I’m truly eating like a healthy, slender person who is not dieting but maintaining a sustainable eating program. My food portions and choices are much more appropriate. The 5-point hunger scale has been very helpful to prevent me from overeating. Because I’m following the new eating habits, I have continued to slowly lose a couple more pounds, though that wasn’t the goal. I just feel better and healthier eating less and eating a more balanced diet. I control what I eat—food no longer controls me. The daily online personal coaching and accountability, plus emails make all the difference. The coach gives you guidance, cheers you when you’ve eaten and exercised according to plan, and helps you deal with the occasional over-indulgences that are just part of the process. I still ask myself, “What would my coach say” about eating this or that. The 5-point fullness scale is very helpful. The tip to be realistic about the occasional indulgence is great, too. I think the fitness part of the app is very good, as it asks you what you will do tomorrow—it encourages you to have a plan and commit to it. I would say to someone thinking about joining that having a daily coach and fully using the app will make all the difference. The best musicians and athletes in the world have coaches. The academics who win awards for anything from spelling to physics have coaches. The right coach can help you be your best, too, so “go for it.”

I had been trying for more than two years to lose the pounds that I had put on since my big weight loss several years ago. I had maintained that loss for years, but stress and bad habits finally got to me, and I put on almost 15 pounds. I tried lots of things to get rid of it, but nothing worked. I had used Weight Watchers with some success and lost almost 45 pounds. That was the first program that ever really worked for me, as I had struggled with yo-yo dieting most of my life. And I did maintain just about all of this loss for years, until about 3 years ago when a number of factors started the slow, insidious creep of weight gain. So why didn't I just go back to it when the weight came back on? The truth is that I did try it again a couple of times and found that it no longer worked for me. I increasingly found it to be too restrictive if I followed it as it was intended. MyBodyTutor allows you to eat closer to the way that is satisfying but still lose weight through small consistent changes.) I wanted to lose at least 10 of the 15 pounds I had gained. And, as a coach myself, I felt that coaching and accountability could be the answer for me. I found MyBodyTutor through a random Google search, but didn’t join at first. I interviewed several coaches who weren’t the right fit for one reason or another, and I kept coming back to MyBodyTutor. Of course, I had some hesitations before starting. There was the money, and the fear of failing once again. But since starting, I’ve lost 12–13 pounds. It’s been fluctuating a little bit lately, but overall I feel good about the progress. What really made the difference for me was the daily logging with pictures and the daily feedback from a coach. If someone’s thinking about joining, I’d tell them: it is worth it! Make sure that you are comfortable with the coach they give you, as that really matters. I lucked out and got a coach that really got me. I think Adam is really good at studying the info you submit at the beginning and finding a good match. Also, don’t give up if it takes a while to see the weight coming down. One of the really good things about MyBodyTutor is that you don’t count calories or macros—you just make small, measurable changes. This makes it possible to persist with the program over time. You don’t have to feel deprived.

Adam hooked me up with Brett who quickly helped me get my nutrition and training dialed in. Was able to cut down to about 11% body fat and feel better than I ever did in the gym. Took a shot in the dark with my body tutor, and I have no regrets.

Thank you for building a program that's the real deal. I'm most excited about the fact that this feels really good. The weight loss is great (but I've done that before), the difference is I'm not hating the process or fighting myself every day. This approach feels aligned and in tune with my needs (both mind and body). I've never felt so confident in myself and my ability to sustain y new habits and progress. I highly recommend MyBodyTutor!

MyBodyTutor has been a pleasure to be a part of. I’ve spent over the last two years working with a coach, and it has transformed nearly every aspect of my health. From the very first questionnaire and call, I could tell how much thought was put into the program. You realize how health is a lot more than just tracking calories, it’s a full reflection into why you behave the way you behave. Through the program and coaching, I’ve been able to significantly improve my mindfulness regarding nutrition, consistently sticking to a daily movement routine, as well as improving both my sleep quality and quantity. In addition to that, it has improved my confidence - in indulging without guilt, in modifying workouts, in the occasional night out, etc. Overall, the accountability and structure of the whole program have proven to be one of the greatest investments I’ve made into my health.

I have always been a very physical person who enjoys moving my body. I grew up with an unhealthy relationship with food though. My goal with this program was to have more defined abs from all of the work I was putting in at the gym. Though I worked out in the gym 5+ days a week, I could not see my abs. Turns out the saying, “abs are made in the kitchen” is true. I started the program back in July of 2021, and by November I had reached my goal of chiseled abs. As the years went by though, I fell into some old habits of emotional eating and wasn’t as happy with my relationship with food. I also had a bad relationship with the scale, weighing myself nearly everyday and allowing it to control my mood (and what felt like my life!). By April of 2024 I decided I needed to do more work and re-joined. I did the program for one more year. No weighing, just monthly measurements. This change helped me immensely as I was able to pay more attention to my efforts and the way I was feeling, than a number on the scale. I solidified my habit of bouncing back to great eating if I had a slip up: identifying and reflecting on the trigger that had sent me into eating more than was comfortable, and how to handle being out of my routine when traveling, etc. I even learned to handle balancing food and exercise with chronic injuries. Through this program I learned about the details: emotional vs physical hunger, satiety, timing, supplements, the importance of protein, the danger of overdoing supplements and protein, and finally the importance of blood work to check in on how things are going from that standpoint. I am a changed person from this program. I feel self-assured and calm about food and in my body in a way I never have before in my life. I am forever grateful to Heather and Adam! Best investment in me I have ever made!

I started MyBodyTutor in 2/2025 at ~120 lbs. Four months later, I am now down to 115.7 lbs, having lost ~4% body fat, and gained ~2 lbs of muscle. While those numbers may seem small, it is significant on a petite 5'0" body. I have really appreciated Kirklin's guidance during this body recomposition journey. She was knowledgeable, positive, and empathetic. I would not have made this progress without her support and I will continue to implement the lessons she taught me moving forward. It is so helpful to have accountability and I highly recommend MyBodyTutor to fill that missing piece in everyone's fat loss journey.
