Update: the company emailed me and offered to refund the admin charge as a gesture of goodwill. The money was paid into my account a few days later. Total refund £72. I sold my car and tried to transfer my policy over to my new car. The cost of transferring the policy was three times as much as the original policy, owing to administration charges. It was actually cheaper to cancel my existing policy and take out a totally new policy with a different insurance company. I was only offered a refund of £12, despite having paid £175 and only using it for 3 months. I decided it was better to cut my losses and cancel my policy with this company. I will never take out insurance with them again and I would never recommend them to anyone.

I swopped insurers mid policy as I changed my car (It was cheaper to start again elsewhere for a full 12months than accept the revised price for the remaining 6 months - go figure.)I was never sent confirmation of my policy cancellation or proof of NCD. This caused a problem with my new insurer threatening to cancel. Paige (PS1) sorted it out quickly though so a Blue Peter badge to her please

Didn't advise he was making calculations after I answered a question, and was nearly 5 minutes before I had to send another message to check we were still connected. Would be better if he could keep customer informed, especially if it was going to take a few minutes, giving reassurance the chat was still in progress. AB9

HE4 was really helpful on the chat call cannot fault 5 stars. however the website and trying to get intouch with anyone took us 2.5 hours. spent ages on onecallchat tobe told was one click chat , very confusing. need a contact number rather that website. HE4 thanks for sorting out again.

Lucas LO06 was very helpful indeed. He managed to reduce my query and waive the admin fee. I don’t agree with the chats and would rather speak to someone. I am 88 and this is difficult for me Good luck Lucas

LO6 fantastic. Fixed an issue immediately. However not pleased with company. Received a letter saying default payment action...No idea why as money always in bank and Direct debit set up. No explanation when I done live chat of why any this happened and I am still none the wiser. Worried I would have a default through absolutely no fault of own or even knowing there was an issue. Tried logging in but account has no option to look at Direct debits. Glad operator fixed issue, and confirmed as they took payment when it was due, I have no default. Worrying that due to company error, I could have had a default, especially as I'm looking to move and do a new mortgage application. Keep an eye on your account incase this happens to you. Scandalous threatening a default for absolutely NO reason. Certainly will not be renewing. Be glad when I move provider.

Rebecca was extremely helpful and sorted my problem. However it took quite a while and was one of many previuosly failed attempts I made to contact you. I had to contact "Go Compare" to get an explnation of how to contact you. Because you were so hard to contact, you lost the business of insuring my second car.
