“Hit or miss. When we got solar we've got three quotes and they were all pretty similar. We chose a company B solar it was ok, but it got bought out a few years later and they wouldn't support issues anymore. This time got a quote for batteries. Company 1 wouldn't stop badgering me for decision every second day when I specifically said I'm waiting for quotes from the others. Company 2 they couldn't call me, which means they called from a spam call centre which I had blocked (so I don't get notifications). I asked them which number it was so I can unblock it or they can email me and they wouldn't do either. Company 3 came and gave me a quote, but could not answer follow up questions. Possibly too busy with too much work at the moment.”

You have been transparent in that you have acknowledged that you do receive referral fees from installers.
However this puts you in the unenvieble position of not being to reveal the true cost and hidden dangers inherent in the contract you sign with the installer, which is totally biased in favor of the installer in case things go wrong. Also in the pay back period etc no mention is made of the fact that the true cost lies in the decommisioning and disposal of the batteries at the end of life. (Some thing like the asbestos debecale from a past era comes to mind. ) It would be immensely useful, and appreciated , if you could put together a sample format of what a contract should look like between the battery supplier ,installer and end user, that is fair to all. Things, like not having a stable internet connection should not be a case for voiding a battery warranty. More than happy to discuss this further if you are so inclined. For the record your site is one of the most usefull resource for those of, the general public who have no clue of batteries, installation or contract laws

Regarding your comment about the contract being biased in favour of the installer if things go wrong. We know thats a common concern in the industry. “unified solar solution - attended my residence - were unable to give me very much information and a week later msged to tell me they could not provide a solution to fit my enphase pannels.
second quote - class A was done without anyinformation being obtained and had no infomation about saving or how they would install etc - very generic and unlikley to the true cost.

“I was sent the details of 3 possible suppliers. The first one needed information which I sent immediately, approximately 2 weeks ago. I still have not received a quote. The second said I had too many trees and it couldn't be done. The third one wanted to come and look. I sent the information but he ignored what I said and I have not heard from him again.

“Whilst your action of getting three quotes were commendable, only two contacted me and neither one provided the information for my specific requirements which was requested. One bombarded me with the system they were trying to sell which fankly was far too expensive, whilst the other one insisted on a site visit which was not really necessary. “Sorry for that. You are the fountain of my solar knowledge and deserve much better.
In this case, when I applied for assistance, I received 2 addresses: one close by (SolarWide), the other in Toowoomba (Proven Energy), 141 km away, did not answer. I sent you an email, requesting 2 more addresses but never received an answer.
SolarWide did very well, but "Unfortunately, the rules of Energex say that we cannot add a battery to your system without you losing the 44 cent Feed In Tariff." That was it.
I am happy with what I have (10x 260W Canadian Solar panels, 8yrs old and a 5kw Solis inverter, 3yrs old), 44 ct feed-in. I understand that there is no way to add a battery without loosing that.
So, I will wait until July 2028 when the present system will end, and continue following your *****-star solar entertainment and education (and perhaps find a solution for my complicated battery issue).
