The information from Finn and from what turned out to be the best value quote was immensely helpful. The sales pitch from the company that was double the price of the others though need to work on their sales technique. Sell your product on it's merits, not by bagging out your opposition.

The two companies gave me quotes but when I wanted a 5 kw hybrid inverter and 10 kw LG battery they were unable to supply those items which were recommended in your utube video.I went with another company who were able to cater to my needs Thanks Osmund De Run

Hi Osmund - thanks for your feedback and review - I'd be happy to refer you to someone else but it looks like you've sourced a satisfactory installer :) - Jonathon

I received a phone call from your nominated contractor, but had decided a Battery was not justified.

Of the two companies to quote one was very prompt, provided quote etc - the other a little slower, however the second quotation was provided after a home visit which we appreciated - the sales person was young but very informative. Am seeking one more quote from a local company before making a decision.

Solar Quotes are efficient and helpful. The problem lies with the installer quotes. They lack detail, particularly they fail to itemize components, and quantities and available features. The efficiency factors they use vary from 70 to 85% without explanation. Most fail to consider shading issues fully. Most quote top end components without fully justifying their features. Most give little detail on the mounting components. None itemize labor costs. Some simply supply component specs without identifying warranty arrangements. None fully list the monitoring features.

Hi Alan, Ideally a quote would be carefully itemized and contain a detailed explanation of how efficiency was determined and how any shade issues will affect output and any steps taken to mitigate this. But it's an unfortunate fact of business that it takes time to make a good quote and they know some people will get half or dozen or more quotes before making a decision. So while it's not good to rush quotes and skimp on details, it's an unfortunate fact most are not going to spend a great deal of time on them. But a quote should definitely cover all major features and major impacts on a system such as shade. This includes information on warranty periods. Any good installer should be happy to provide more information if asked if a quote is unclear. If you feel our installers are not up to scratch in this regard, please let me know at jonathon@solarquotes.com.au - Jonathon

I think the 3 quote companies selection was not great. Out of three two contacted me and only one gave quote. Other guy said he only does very expensive one and hang up.

I received a written quote from one of them, Eco smart?, but no email address to communicate. Was quoted 10 kw system, no details what size inverter and was told by our provider AGL, we're only allowed a 6.6 max system Spoke to AGL about their system and they had a 6.6 system, 5 kW inverter and 11 kW Tesla battery for over $12.000 ,but it wouldn't wipe out our $650 a quarter bills, it would only reduce them??? With all this info, who can I trust?

Hi Tony, That's odd re ecosmart - try Adam at: adamc@ecosmarteg.com.au In SA, you're allowed a max of 5kW export on a single phase home - but you can go up to 10kW with export limitation - see here: https://www.solarquotes.com.au/grid-connection/ To see the impact a 6.6kW + powerwall would have on your home, try our nifty solar calculator here: https://www.solarquotes.com.au/solar-calculator/ Any further questions - just let me know at jonathon@solarquotes.com.au :)

Hi Solar Quotes, Didn't go with any of the companies identified as they didn't provide complying tender responses and prices were considerably higher in two cases. One was great to deal with and has good reputation who we did seriously consider. However the companies we approached directly provided offers that were generally closer to what we requested and prices very similar for the system requested. In terms of data on the website reviews seem dated by about 12-18 months. We were looking for good technical comparison of Maxeon (3 also) 5 panels with integrated Enphase IQ7A inverters compared to LG 380W Neon R panels with fitted Enphase IQ7A inverters. Seems LG are not distributing this panel competitively in Australia presently as no installer would offer it. All installers using those panels quoted on the Neon 2 panels which seemed closer to the Sunpower tier 2 panel? So getting comparative quotes and finding informative, dispassionate reviews was challenging. Finally the warranties we have been offered were better than any from the companies your website referred us to. We have ten years on the installation and 25 years on the panels and inverters. The system should fail gracefully and offset our CO2 emissions and other energy costs over the life of the system. So there is definitely a place for your service but it is recommended more of your own technical reviews be written and perhaps interview LG to find out why they are pricing and marketing the Neon R panels in a manner that many installers claimed made them an uneconomic decision and ignored recent developments from their rivals? Platinum Solar was the stand out company you put forward. Thanks

Only one company got back to us quickly and sent a rep to our home for a quote. Another company asked us to send a copy of our electricity bill, the third company got to us very late and also wanted our bill. We chose the first company.

only one company quoted and they tried to sell a budget system. We eventually went with Solahart who were very proffessional.

well first thankyou for the three quotes then it was very diappointing since then the 3 solar companies that were in contact with were far out of my range first one quoting from $5800.00 for a 4kw system and the other 2 in excess of $7500.00 i know they are using quality parts as panels and inverters i am not a instyle employee or related to this complany but instyle solar quoted $4800.00 for a 6.6kw system using q cell panels and abb/sun grow inverter as a separate system to the system i installed with them 12 months ago which was a 9.35kw which cost $8800.00 the next thing is on the you tube videos on your web site stating if these companies push you to sign up this is a red flag to stay away well i have had 3-4 phone calls from these companies wanting to sign up now prior to xmas this is why i scored 3/5

Hi Joseph - thanks for your feedback and review - I do agree that we say that pushy companies are a red flag, but this advice becomes a bit blurry pre-christmas when installers are legitimately trying to lock in work before they go 'tools down' until January :) - Jonathon

I asked for two quotes. Helio Energy sent an email to me saying they don't recommend solar to me (which is fine, but I'm not sure they came round to me property). Soltek Energy called round and seemed to think solar was OK, but I would be in the shade in the winter. I haven't heard from Soltek since. I'm happy if the experts don't think it is worth me having solar, I'd be happier if it was done in a more professional manner.

Our name and solar interest got on sold to somewhere else because when the guy came he said you don’t normally recommend him. I went with one of your recommendations paid a very sizeable deposit but have not heard of him in 2 weeks. - feeling nervous

Hi Colleen, Thanks for your time on the phone this morning - as mentioned, we absolutely do not onsell peoples information to anyone except the 3 companies that we explicitly refer to you. I have left my phone and email address with you so you can forward your correspondence with this installer. I have also followed up your quote that you have paid a deposit for, and you should be hearing from the installer very soon :) - Jonathon
