Thanking you for your time having a chat over the phone with me, I was sorry to hear you weren't happy with your Tesla battery quotes - we have seen recently that the Tesla battery has a had a huge price rise (https://www.solarquotes.com.au/blog/powerwall-prices-australia-mb2670/) which explains why it seemed more expensive than normal. Apologies for any disappointment that was caused there.
I've texted you through some other installation companies to chat with that offer multiple brands of batteries - I hope these help get the ball rolling :)

“The process of quoting to supply solar systems that you provided sounded great initially, however of the expected 3 quotes I have received one and expect the second one tomorrow the 3rd quote has never arrived !!! I understand there are possible supply issues, however the communication in general from the advised suppliers is very poor also.
Looking at the questions you are asking below, it seems to be too early to be asking these questions as I am not yet in a position to compare as I only have 1 quote on hand, I have nothing to compare however I expect the second quote sometime tomorrow !!!”

The supplier I went with picked this up and adjusted where the panels were placed.

“Of the 3 quotes recommended by Solar Quotes only one contractor came to site - and that was a good thing because he had prepared his quote for the wrong roof. Haven't heard back from him yet with a revised quote. Another contractor didn't want to install micro-inverters, even though we have a shade problem. And we haven't heard back from the third contractor since we spoke to him about 8 days ago. I'm still chasing that one up this morning. I did manage to get 3 quotes from other contractors that weren't on the Solar Quotes recommended list, so we think we will soon have enough information to make a decision.”

Thanks for your feedback and review. As you've identified, one of our installers was listed in our system as offering micro-inverters when they no longer do - we've fixed that in our system so it won't happen in the future. I understand the tardy installer has now been in contact - I spoke with them about your request and they apologised and said they were very busy last month and it took them a while to get around to your quote. Not an ideal experience for you - but that's what they have advised. I understand the third company has since corrected their incorrect roof placement and have provided you with a satisfactory quote :)

found a great local supplier who when i turned up on their door showed me there operation walked me through there products and did a site inspection that afternoon and installed 7 days later

1) All else being equal, I'd expect REC/Qcells to cost about $1500 more than a Jinko system
2) SAPN is indeed trialing dynamic export limits which can allow up to 10kW on a single phase. I'm afraid our service does not provide "like for like" quotes in the sense of every company quoting the same thing. There are a variety of products out there and many of our clients offer this variety.

The other 2 companies were over 400kms away & did not appear to have agents anywhere near us. Not very happy as we then had to find other companies ourselves to get quotes to compare. We could have done this ourselves in the first place but were referred to SolarQuotes by a friend who had a more positive experience.”

Thanks for your feedback and review. In your situation, given your location, it is indeed hard for us to a) find local installers that b) can meet our high standards. I hope you understand that our preference is always to match homeowners with the closest possible installers but this isn't always possible.
