I have ordered from here before and was happy with the price, quality of meat and the delivery. However the last order I was not as happy so sent a message with the reasons I was unhappy, sadly I never received a reply. The issue I had was on my previous order where I ordered chicken wings these were the wingette cut and were spot on. On my next order I again ordered the wings only to receive the drumette cut, which in all honesty is not to my liking and would have avoided if bought in a shop. I do understand this is still a chicken wings, but perhaps or going forward the cut should be stated. The second point was the chicken legs, all these came with a broken knuckle joint and the butchery was absolutely awful, looked as if it was all machine butchered. I will admit the lamb shanks and steaks look lovely and can't wait to cook these. This may be a small matter but what got to me was I spent the time to air these issues but sadly no reply or acknowledgment 😔

As always the meat is excellent quality.but also as always the customer service is ridiculously 😞.I I placed and paid for my order one day for it to be delivered A week after ,I tried every way possible to get contact with them to discuss my order ,indeed to add to it ...no reply whatsoever....as is typical

You need to stop removing the skin from your Pork Joints because that is why most people buy pork joints especialy for the Crackling.

My last review I told you how you might improve your burger displays, with the addition of little plastic seperators between the burgers .enabling the end user to separate and use them without the braking ,I've now had the same problem yet again falling apart when trying to use them . This time with the chicken wings had a part bag with blood and drumsticks added ,the bag of drumsticks again had lots of juices and another bag inside .today I'm useing the end cut of gammon it's a triangle ?

Fillet steak was very low quality and the price reflected the quality. The pork belly is decent quality

I'm often disappointed that the offers sell out quick. Occasionally I'd like to buy a really big beef rib also.

Very disappointed, when you look at your picture yummy. Real life not. You obviously go of wieght. Ie i got 1 chicken leg that came of a ostrich and 6 others that came of some sparrows. The gammon was that salty it should of come with a goverment health warning. The minted lamb chumps i was really looking forward to. But there must have been the most boniest lamb on the plant. Very very little meat on it. But the correct wieght of bone. Weve not eaten the rest yet. 1 good thing the mince was tasty. Will i be using you again. No 👎 also please take me of your subscribers list. Could of got better outta Aldi.

I’m relatively new to the Fat Butcher having been recommended by a friend. At first I was very impressed. The steaks seem very good quality and the tandoori chicken drumsticks were delicious. However the hamburgers were a disappointment - only 80% meat and with dextrose (ie sugar) and sulphites (a candidate for why we’re getting so many cancers) seem really unhealthy. They caramelised on frying so the sugar content seems high. That now has me thinking about the contents of the tandoori sauce on the drumsticks. I couldn’t see any ingredients or nutritional information on the packet or website. Also whether the meat is treated (eg saline injection), corn fed etc. Doubt has been sown by the poor burgers. I checked the FAQs on the website but they seem a mess. The Q “Is your meat free range?” seems to answer a different question (which might be “is your meat British”). A bit like toilets in a restaurant, the website is a bit messy on the FAQs which isn’t the best impression. After a strong start, I think the products might be hit and miss for me. But nothing is perfect and I’ll keep trying - the meat seems good I just need assurance it’s healthy enough to make regular orders for all the family and acceptable enough welfare for the animals.

Postage is expensive, once this is factored in it’s not as great a deal as you might think. If you’re going to do it perhaps a bulk order. However if you’ve never used them before like me, I’d be reluctant as you’re not sure what the quality is like. On the positive, looks ok and arrived in good time. Will see what it tastes like.

The Fat Butcher is an interesting supplier of generally great quality meat, which I have had the pleasure of several times. Sadly my last order which included a couple of chickens wasn’t! They were crushed & defrosted & only fit for the dogs! Also their bacon is too thin & full of water too! Same with the gammon steaks! Pork is great, Beef is occasionally fantastic, last roasting sirloin piece is terribly pale & I’m reluctant to do anything with it! but overall I don’t feel their staff really look at what’s going out the door! I wrote to their email address for customer service, but had no response, I’m not happy enough, & right now disappointed!

I was a bit underwhelmed with my order. Having been in the trade for many years I expected something and received something else
