“We recently moved into a house with a built in bed headboard in the bedroom. I searched for a divan bed or similar to be able to use the fitted headboard but was disappointed at what was generally on offer. Then I found The Wooden Bed Company and was thrilled to see they had a platform bed! Great price, well packaged and deivered on time. It's lovely to be able to buy British and receive a quality item like this bed. I am so happy with my purchase. When we change our other bed we will definitely be headed back here.”

“I am delighted with my 2 single Model 1 beds. I was able to have the height of the headboards adjusted to fit under the mansard roof. The beds arrived punctually, the quality was excellent and they were easily put together. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I am very happy to have chosen this company.”

“Lovely sturdy bed, easy enough to put together, (although for the size of bed we had (King size), even the instructions online didn't show the extra end panels, which would have been helpful as I thought we accidentally had a spare).”

“So pleased with the Model 03 bed frame! I was on the hunt for just a simple, sturdy wooden bedframe, with ample room for storage underneath. This ticks every one of those boxes! It was fairly easy to assemble, but need two people. The construction is extremely sturdy-- no creaking or movement. Love all the storage space underneath, and chose the model 03 which has an extra plank at the front to conceal everything underneath. It was a great price, and customer service was very responsive and friendly. Very glad to have found this company!”

“The type 3 bed came, as promised, two weeks after order, which is impressive. It's a good solid bed and the instructions were easy to follow, although it will take almost everyone more than the 20 minutes stated on the website. The drawers are pretty solid although with more gaps than I expected. I had to ask for some instructions for the drawers but received prompt and helpful responses.”

“Great simple utilitarian bed for good price. Well made and nicely finished. Just 2 points, didn't send the headboard biscuit joints but they were swiftly despatched after a call on Saturday but only 2 arrived (needed 3) However we fashioned one ourselves which was easy. The other small point is, as I wanted a light finish, to make sure any dark knot marks do not show on the front of the headboard. We have one but it is below the pillow. Wood is a natural product and we understand that. All the best to you to become a sought after bed manufacturer as I think you have a great product.”

As Pine is a natural product knots are to be expected, it is just the nature of the product and it all depends on what tree it has been cut down from. “Very pleased with our new oak bed from the Wooden Bed Company. The company were flexible in approach (e.g. adapting the bed design to eliminate the "live edges"), good value and prompt in their production. And local! My only quibble is that their courier could not nominate a time window for delivery, not even morning/afternoon.”

“A recommended company! The bed compares well with the beds I have constructed in the past: "I did not have the time" to construct another & required a bed of matching quality. ( Although I added two more slats for the mattress support ). 5 stars well deserved!!”

“Great company, great products. Delivery was agreed on a day that worked for me, and they were very quick, professional, and prompt. The product itself is high quality, and obviously constructed with care. My bed was easy to put together given the instructions, and feels like it could withstand some kind of attack. Thanks very much, I'll probably be back to buy drawers.”

“This was our first time shopping with this company, and they've been wonderful - the bed is beautiful and easy to put together, and when we were missing a couple of screws the customer service was brilliant (they shipped out the missing pieces the next working day). Would highly recommend.”

“Very pleased with finished product. A few minor hiccups; 1. The bed took slightly longer than indicated to deliver 4+ weeks vs 2-3 weeks indicated. 2. The bed was delivered in 6 boxes. 5 boxes were delivered on the first delivery so we couldn't complete putting together the bed. We contacted The Wooden Bed Company and 6th box was delivered next day. 3. The central support slat was missing (needed for the Emperor size bed). To avoid further delay we bought a length of timber and fitted and agreed a refund for the inconvenience. 4. The instructions provided were different to what was delivered in relation to the fitting of the central slat (not helped by it being missing). The instructions need to be updated. Otherwise the quality of the timber/finish is good.”
