“We bought two single beds. They were delivered on time, well made and easy to put together (easier than others that I've built). The leg of one bed was damaged in transit, but a replacement was provided quickly and without fuss, which was good. We are now very pleased with the finished products and glad that we found The Wooden Bed Company online.”

“Excellent service, from the online shopping experience and order updates to actual delivery, just as initially scheduled. The website is well designed and provides all the information necessary to make an informed decision about what can be a major investment for many. Very pleased overall. The delivery service was prompt and friendly. However, the longest of the three boxes came slightly damaged. No damage to any component, so no worries.”

“I wanted to like this company as the beds have the potential to be really nice and good quality, but unfortunately we had multiple issues. On delivery, we had a couple of pieces that had been damaged in transit. As it happened, we could position these where no one could see them, so we didn’t bother to complain. The normal beds we bought went together easily and seem good and solid. However, we bought an ottoman which had missing holes that should’ve been drilled, not enough bolts provided in the bag, and a design that led to holes between the wood and the metalwork not matching up. When we complained, the company was very responsive and sent out replacement parts, but as the holes not matching up was a design issue the new parts had the same problem. With a lot of physical force to bend the metalwork we managed to get some of the bolts through, so the bed is usable. We fed back what the problems were but I don’t believe they have properly understood (they said “I understand the ottoman can be a little tricky to put together”) so I would strongly recommend not buying the ottoman. They offered us a £50 partial refund but on a £950 bed with multiple serious issues I think £50 is an insult.”

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Honest feedback is always appreciated. Firstly we would like to apologise, after further inspection of the hardware we have now discovered that when it is fitted to the outer frame, it doesn't sit flat when fixing to the internal frame. We've recently made changes to our ottoman hardware which involved swapping out the lifting mechanism for a better design. The old hardware used to sit flat and we have incorrectly assumed that the new hardware does too. We're really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We're sorry to see part of your order had been damaged during transit. Had we been told about this we would have replaced any damage components as a matter of urgency and free of charge. We have tried to reach out to you by telephone and email in hope to resolve any issues for you. Your feedback has been very helpful. When you originally contacted us we didn't fully understand the issues you were experiencing and therefore haven't dealt with your complaint as effectively as you would have liked. We would like to put this right if possible. Hopefully we will hear from you soon. Many thanks The Wooden Bed Company

“Very nice bed. Pleased with the quality. I did request some pads on the feet as it’s going on a hard floor and they said they would do this for free even though I would have willingly paid. Bed came no pads!”

“The bed is easy to assemble. The white stained wood is attractive. I ordered mine without a headboard. It turned out that the bed is 5 inches longer than the standard mattress. Leaving a big gap between the mattress and the wall. I've had to fill this gap so that my pillow doesn't escape me in the night. I have attempted to attach a photo but it doesn't seem to upload.”

“We wanted a bed that was distinctive and practical. After walking around the large bed retailers and being very uninspired we found this company. The website is easy to use and there are lots of customisable options. The bed only took a couple of weeks to arrive from ordering too which surprised me as I expected to be waiting months given the beds are made to order. The bed arrived in around 4 different boxes. It was fairly easy to assemble and took me less than 2 hours although the instructions could have been a little clearer. We were also missing 4 screws for the slats but luckily I had some matching ones in the garage.”
