“hello, the goods are fine. However I didn't realize additional costs from UPS €27,00. This for additional taxes and freight. Please make a warning when you order from abroad.
In total the teatowels were too expensive. Just once in a lifetime ;)”
“Unfortunately I was faced with a considerable bill for customs and import tax when my products arrived. In Germany.
Since Ulster Weavers is based in NI this was completely unexpected.
Also, sand was leaking out of one of the doorstops that I ordered. Not happy”
“Sent the wrong tea towel. It was for a birthday present and very short notice so I couldn't send it back. The design and quality are very good and the recipient was very pleased - it just wasn't the design I originally intended.”
“Repeat customer and on this occasion left very disappointed.
Missing item from an order - alerted customer service and their response suggested that I HAD recieved the item - but that UW were sending the item I paid for, as a '...gesture of goodwill' !!
When the missing item arrived - it was clear it would never have fitted in the original package as too big !!! The replacement package took a while to find me as despatched without a name on it ...
I have never had a problem like this before, but really disappointed at how this was handled not sure I will be back.”
“A recent Amazon Order originating in Ireland ( ulster Weavers items) cost $14 to ship using postal services. Through your company the postal Charge (courier service) was close to $60 plus another $30 plus UPS brokerage fess and duties. My order from you was less expensive than what I ordered on Amazon. A difference of close to $80 total shipping cost is outrageous. Items less than $100 arriving in Canada have no duty charged as evident in my order from Amazon. Not so through UPS. Love the quality of your merchandise but would be reluctant to buy directly from you in the future.”
“Quality of the article and delivery were excellent. But i live in the european union and the custom fees were incredible high and More than doubled the price. Therefore never again under these conditions.”
“Not great.
I ordered 1 large bag and one small bag for a gift. Two different order numbers. I got two bags of the large version. Disappointed but the bags are nice anyway.”
“I made a large order of approx 7 items. The main item I ordered was cancelled. I enquired about re-ordering. Told it was out of stock. I went on line & reordered it. Not great customer service.
I am returning one item. unlike the vast majority of companies, I am having to pay for the return myself. Poor customer service once again”
“I was disappointed to be charged £6.99 postage despite my order exceeding £30.00. I did submit a query about this before confirming my order but I didn't receive any response.”
“Unfortunately, I had to pay ca 10€ extra to ups-probably you mentioned that but I didn‘t read carefully and what‘s really a pity-I didn‘t get the Irish tea towel I ordered(order number 4698518388871)…so it wasn’t a good deal for me! I really love your products but I think I won’t order anything else, sorry! Best wishes from Austria!”
“The product was great however I was hit with a HUGE c.o.d. duty bill upon arrival. It would have been good to have an idea of this upon ordering. It made the whole experience disappointing. I now have the most expensive tea towels in history. Lol”
“You have no gift option. I sent an email asking that a note be put in with my purchase. I received no response so I do not know if this was done. Improvement in this area needed.”
“I would have normally given you 5 stars, but, the Tote bags i got in the sale (4) actually are not waterproof, i kept 2 and gave 2 to a friend, when shopping we both, at different times put frozen shopping in the bags and whatever is wet/chilled/frozen in the bag, they seem to sweat and then pools of water in the car or wherever you are, such a shame to be honest 😕”
“It is easy to navigate the Ulster Weavers website. It would be helpful if you indicated the dimensions of the teacosies you sell.Previously U.W. double oven gloves I bought in Kilkenny design were quilted and were therefore more flexible and much easier to use. I liked the fabric and appreciated the fast response, but I think you should go back to quilted oven gloves!”
