I was welcomed into a clean and well decorated reception, greeted promptly and seated. I had a short wait before being called through to meet the Dr’s. Dr Drury was fantastic. He made everything so easy to understand and took the time to answer all my questions. I was nervous that I may get the same information I was given by a consultant at Nuffield. I was given information and more information so I could understand fully the benefits of the recommended treatment. I never felt stupid or inconvenient which I’m sorry to say happened at a rival clinic. Thank you!

A pleasant professional informative team that were sensitive to my needs both in terms of the information I wanted and in protecting my privacy and dignity throughout the consultation. They created a lovely relaxed atmosphere without compromising on professional standards.

Firstly had to wait a while, then I was scared silly when a previous patient was being attended to in the waiting area, having her bloody stocking adjusted as it was too tight, in front of me, maybe out of sight of new patients would have been better? I had thought of going home again at the sight of this. The room itself was very hot, no air or windows open and the fan was blowing on the doctor only. I was only there a maximum of 30 mins with the doctor. It seemed very quick for £250. I wasn’t given any literature or patient information pack, that I should have been given. I didn’t realise when booking my treatment appointment I would have to pay a £500 deposit, so far I’ve paid £750. I contacted the centre after reading the email that arrived that day which said I should have received a patient information pack and I requested one and also had some additional questions. I didn’t actually receive a reply to my email, I had to resend it and finally received a call 8 days after my query. I think they’d forgotten to send out the information pack as Lisa said she’d post another one out and I have only actually received one now, if she’d already sent one surely two would have arrived now? So far, considering I’m paying for this service, it hasn’t been as good as I’d hoped. And I’m only posting this because you’ve asked me for my opinion on the service received. If you hadn’t asked me, I wouldn’t have said anything.

It's worth saying that a consultation is always around 30 minutes, which is the right amount of time for the colour duplex ultrasound scan, discussion of your results and personalised treatment plan. That said, you should have received the information we promised and can only apologise for this. We would like the opportunity to follow up with you and address these issues and also ensure you feel content with the next steps. Everyone made me feel so very much at home, they were all great and Mr Raj Nair was lovely. He explained, step by step, everything to me and helped me realise my veins were not so bad at all. I am reading thru all the information I was given and, as it's mainly cosmetic, shall wait and see how I feel about my legs in the few months that follow. Thanks again to you all at the vein centre and to the nice Lady who made me tea and to the kind nurse who told me what to do. A special big thank you to Mr Raj Nair, he was great.

Fantastic service from the moment I walked through the door I was greeted by the receptionist who checked me in and was offered a tea or a coffee. My consultant was running a little behind but that was not a problem at all. I was called in by the nurse who was lovely and I met my consultant Mr Ahmed El-Basty, I felt at ease straight away and I found him very easy to talk to and he explained what was going to happen and then he went through his findings with me.

Absolutely brilliant service from the moment I booked consultation to the day of the procedure, Made me feel really comfortable explaining everything day 6 now still a little tender but that’s to be expected thanks once again Anna and the nurse hopefully see an improvement and less pain in the hear future.👍 Paddy

Having discovered that the NHS provides very limited (if any) treatment for varicose veins, I was a bit hesitant to choose a private provider. I need not have been because the Veincentre in Newcastle could not have been any more professional, efficient or friendly. The booking process was straightforward and the information they requested thorough. The trip to the centre along with parking was very convenient. Dr Regi was excellent. He scanned my leg and explained the process and issues associated with possible treatments in a clear and knowledgeable way. It could not have been better and I would thoroughly recommend this centre.

Before i arrived was apprehensive..need not have worried...very relaxed atmosphere....and feedback relating to my leg was fully explained.. by the Dortor....honestly wish I'd come for treatment sooner

We arrived late but everyone was understanding about it. There was a relaxed happy atmosphere. The coffee was good and brought a sense of normality. The consultant explained everything clearly and there was no undue pressure to have any treatment . I felt I was in safe hands and decided to go ahead with treatment.

I felt completely at ease as soon as i walked into the reception, the lady was very friendly and helped me fill in the questionnaire and sat with me. The lady her name was maybe Jane... then made me and my mum a coffee and was talking to us. I went into see Dr Duncan and he was just as lovely and asked me questions to find out about me. He explained the procedure in detail and reassured me that i had made the right decision to have my legs done and there was nothing to worry about, so i have booked to have the procedure done.

I felt a little nervous but the staff made me feel at ease. I felt well informed about what my problems were and how they could be treated. Very satisfied so far.
