Yell conned my company out of two months subscription at the end of my contract, even though I gave over the required 14 days notice. They are a bunch of thieves. Also, in the year that I was with them, not one person rang me up to say they found me through Yell. All new enquiries came via my own website that I set up and cost £10 per month rather than £86.72. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. JUST A WASTE OF MONEY.

After 20 years of working with Yellow Pages / Yell.com and having spent tens of thousands of pounds over the period I have recently found this company to be guilty of mi-selling contracts. Their sales force inform you of a 14 day notice period however they neglect to tell you that if you run into your next service period you will be charged for the whole period not just the 14 days notice period. They will then pursue you with ferocity when you dispute the charges. AVOID!

Do not trust Yell. They are 100% conmen. They take your money and cannot produce the goods. I have managed to get out my contract. But I have still paid over 3k for a website that they could not produce. Do NOT TRUST these guys. I. now taking them to court to recover my losses

Yell are the worst company I have ever dealt with, absolutely disgusting service, they also cut and paste our existing BT website, been waiting 7 months for our website to go live, was told 2 months ago we could have a full refund, they lye and pass the blame within their own company, It would be 0 stars if I could leave 0 stars, DO NOT USE THEM

I was promised a lot but they failed to deliver on any of it. Every body I spoke to except one, had something different to say and even when I tried to end the contract things were changing! I have finally finished paying a lot of money for something that didn't work and they would not take any responsibility for it! I would advise in the STRONGEST terms possible to AVOID this company at all costs. I only gave 1 star because I had to, it would not let me put a minus.

Please read the rest of these reviews, there is certainly no smoke without fire. Truly dreadful, outdated company trying to stay relevant in today’s market. It’s basically a complete con. They will trick you into some sort of contract that you’re not even aware of. When you try and get out of it after you realise it’s doing nothing for your company you’re threatened with debt collection etc. I literally got nothing off the back of ‘advertising’ through Yell. It just wasted money for resources elsewhere. Unfortunately so much so it completely ruined my business and I’ve had to close it. PLEASE AVOID. Absolute scam artists. I can’t believe they haven’t been investigated yet!

I had a website with Yell for 12/18 months. Paying about £70 per month. Very basic but generated no additional income to my business. A salesman visited me and sold me additional packages on the assurance loads of customers would be driven to the website which would in turn generate a huge increase in sales. Sounds great. This cost £440 per month. 12 months down the line not one sale has resulted from this investment in my business. Very poor customer service and tied into contracts which I'm able to extract myself. Perhaps my own fault for trusting their promises. But nothing has been delivered. Do not sign up with this company.

Kept taking money after I cancelled the contract and then had the audacity to invoke a debt collection agency. Do not go anywhere near this company.

The website that I purchased from Yell was nothing like the website I was shown by the sales rep. This company is 100% money driven they don't care if you get a bad service from them they just want the money out of you. I did complain in writing to yell but it just fell on death ears. I got trading standards involved but they seemed powerless to be able to do anything about what yell are doing. I paid yell £1,650, I was threatened with a debt collection agency, I ended up paying £60 per month hosting fees for a website that wasn't even on the internet?? Basically I paid yell £1,650 and got absolutely nothing out of it. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE TRADING! PLEASE AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!! BUSINESS OWNER

Literally the worst company ever, do not trust them, they lie and tie you into a contract! The websites are a duda template and the staff are rude and palm you off on everyone, the only get good reviews on here because they get the staff to suck up to the 1% of happy customers and they get an incentive if they leave a good review. Should be called HELL..... Don't say i didn't warn you... AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!

Horible service provided by yell social advertisement team. First of all they did a contract of 6 months which i can not cancel. Well, okay thats my mistake but after starting the ad there were no instruction sent to my email or given to me by anyone. For Almost a month everything was messed up. The links i had provided were not properly added to my social account so, no one could open the link while the ad was running. Secondly instead of discussing with me about my facebook page they just chose a ramdon facebook page and started the ad which was the craziest thing i had ever seen in my life. Basically i was paying £480 for running ads on someone else's facebook page whithout me even knowing it and secondly all the links were added incorrectly. After i discussed this matter with my account manager, he told me that he will refund the money for that month and now its been 3 months i have not been refunded. Everytime i called to speak to my account manager, he is not available. Its been 3 months he is busy with other clients 24/7 because i called many times different days different timing but he is always busy. Plus i am getting only 0 to 5 visitors to my site everyday, mostly 0 visitors and when i spoke to them about this, i was told that they cant do anything regarding this because their job is to run the ad. Well tbh i could run facebook ad even by myself. Why would i spend extra money on hiring some illitrates. Shame on their service. Cant wait for 6 months contract to finish with them and i will never recommend it to anyone.

The Reputation Manager is absolutely POINTLESS! for £48 a month (+VAT), with a minimum unescapable contract of 12 months, you get the grand prize of........ Being able to request for reviews... AND Being able to post to all your social media from one place! WOOHOO! Oh and btw, Yell will take 70% of the reviews you receive onto their website so you can only have 30% on your website. AND, with the social posting, you can only use a maximum of 250 characters! So unless you are posting just a photo with one or two sentences... POINTLESS. DONT DO IT, YOU CAN GET FREE TOOLS TO DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING THEY OFFER.

AVOID like the plague. This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. My fight is nowhere near over yet. The cold caller that calls you will tell you fairy tale, advise that there advertising will get you x amount of sales and they will look after you. They are not upfront and honest about fees. If you take ppc they will put what they like in your advert and not listen to a word you say. They do not get your approval before they make it live. They will have your ppc cost through the roof. Even on a small budget. They do not listen to what you want and don't want in your ad. I checked my bank to cancel the direct debit and I found they had 2 direct debits on my account. There should have only been one!! If you email they ignore you. They do not send an acknowledgement that they have received anything. The call centre is awful and will flat out lie to you.5 days of trying to talk to them and it just ended up with me loosing it and screaming at them like a fishwife. Still no resolution. They are in breach of contract and my next steps are legal action. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THESE ABSOLUTE JOKERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT POOR IT'S NON EXISTANT. YOUR WEB TRAFFIC WILL DROP. YOUR SALES WILL DROP. YOU CAN DO A BETTER JOB ON YOUR OWN. UPDATE After an email that took about 3hrs to write to the CEO of yell i was contacted quickly. My contract was cancelled and no amount due. I was offeted free services from Yell to try and make up for the lack of service. I have declined. I have requested the credit search on my account to be removed and this has been done. Still chasing them for a timescale of how long my complaint will take to resolve. Feel im being ignored again.  Anyone who is having issues with getting out of your yell contract look on facebook for the i hate yell group and we will help you if we can. The sooner yell understand that a b2b contract does not give them the right to do as they like. We as business owners have hired them to do a job if they dont do the job we can fire them. We can also take them to court for breach of contract which i will be doing if they dont resolve my complaint.

The WORST experience I have ever had with an advertising company. AVOID YELL! They will take your money and produce absolutely nothing to show for it. They will then apparently want to get in touch to "resolve the matter" only once you have given them the review they deserve, as I did on Trustpilot. Yell is a joke and they are certainly not an expert in digital advertising, which is what they claim!

THE WORST company I have ever experienced!! Everything from their rude, ignorant and aggressive staff to their shabby looking out of date platform! They are full of deceit and lies and I have no idea how a company like this could be allowed to continue! They're robbing small venerable businesses in broad daylight and have wrapped it all up in a binding contract because they know they're product is utterly useless!! Please do not go any where near this business!

After being cold-called for weeks by Yell and speaking to the salesperson for 2 hours on the phone making sure they could do everything i wanted for my website, i agreed to go ahead. After agreeing to go ahead, i was passed to the introduction team to set up etc. Later on, i noticed i wasn't getting as promised on the phone. The team had set my keywords up wrong, my Ads were costing me double what i was already paying and my website dropped. I cancelled straight away to then be told by the salesperson to be "realistic" and it wouldn't be done in a few days but a matter of months after telling me otherwise on the call. Since cancelling, i have had no confirmation of my cancellation and being ignored or spoken to appallingly by the customer service team and sales team. My experience has been awful and i would not recommend another business to go ahead with this contract. Furthermore, i think the Yell team are not experienced enough in basic customer service skills and they need more knowledge about what product they are selling
