Ordered a DVD Box to not knowing this company was located in the UK. It still shouldn't have taken 4 weeks to arrive but they did say that it might in their email. Cardboard box in a bubble wrap envelope arrived and even before opening it, I knew what probably happened to its edges and yes - all edges had dents as if the box had been in use for a few years. I was going to accept that and live with it but then I opened it and found out that they'd sent the wrong language edition, not the one I had ordered. So I contacted their customer service via the website and got a reply within a day. While that's good service, I'd appreciate it, if they made sure that their standard texts in foreign languages are free from mistakes and unambiguous in meaning. I supplied some fotos of the box and they immediately offered a refund if I send the box back. Along with that came a form to put into the return package and it had a barcode label with their address on it to go on the outside of the return parcel. I thought the barcode was for the post to scan but handing it to the lady she could only tell me that it wasn't one of their codes and that I'd probably have to pay for it myself. All I could say to that is, that I didn't know because the instructions on the form were so unclear. Honestly, it read like a google translator translation, not like it was done by a human. The form was also filled in to refund me instead of exchanging the box for the correct one so I tried changing that by adding an explanation but it was obviously ignored. I sent it from the UK when I was on holiday a couple of weeks later because I had a hunch that they weren't going to pay for shipping. And I was right. A few days after sending it back, they sent me a confirmation email and said they'd refund my purchase price. I immediately replied, saying that I wanted the shipping costs as well, since this refund was not what I had asked for and any mistakes had been made on their end. The response given was that they do not cover return shipping costs. I replied, asking whether that was their final word since I had done nothing wrong and ended up having nothing but inconvenience and shipping costs on my end. I said that this was very poor business manners and that I'd tell everyone I know about my experience with them if they didn't think it was their duty to pay for the costs that their mistake had caused. So now, 2 weeks after that, all I have heard off them is that my last complaint had been forwarded to the appropriate people. Zavvi, I'll take that as a "no, were not paying your 3 pounds shipping" and hope that you either realize that this is really bad business conduct or that people just stop ordering from you. Simple things could improve your company significantly: - get employers in customer service with good language skills if you want to do business abroad - protect your goods from shipping damage properly, everybody knows that bubble wrap doesn't protect cardboard well - if the mistake is made on your end, have the balls to admit it and set it right without leaving your customers to clean up after you I won't be buying from you again any time soon, that much is for sure!

Ordered three items in a £30 deal. sent 2 and refuse to accept their mistake or acknowlege the deal in 2 weeks of messages (the only way you can contact them) trust me stay away its not worth it. they now want me to return items....making me £4.60 out of pocket for the return postage. will be going to ofcom and fraud its my only option now.

I seriously don't even want to give them one star, but since it's not possible to give them none, this is the grade I'm forced to give them. I don't know where to start or where to end in this review, so I'll just lay it down in short terms. I ordered a Zbox in the beginning of October and thereby I also automatically subscribed for the boxes to come in future. Or so I thought. I had to write to let them know, that I had not received my box after 14 days. They replied, that it had to be on it's way and I got it the next day. In the end of October I wrote them again to ensure that my "November box" would come as I planned, since I could not see anything in my subscription list on their website. They replied that everything was in order. In the beginning of November my status still said: "Pending". Naturally they had withdrawn the money from my account (that always seem to be working). However no shipment of my order was made. I've contacted Zavvi on the occasions the following days. They all had different stories and explanations. 24 hour respond time is by the way very annoying when you try to communicate with someone. Well, they first told me they couldn't find my order, then that they couldn't find the subscription and finally that it had been shipped on the 2nd of November. I live fairly close to the UK and I still have received absolutely nothing :-( My status still says: "Pending" and I'm still extremely upset!

Very bad company. Received a damaged item which was beyond repair. I emailed them about expecting a refund. Sent photos and they only offered me a 15% refund. I also have another item that's been pending for over a month! Don't be fooled by the low prices!

Pre-ordered a game, so it should arrive on the day of release on the 06/11/2015, just in time for a birthday. NOW I've just received an email saying it should be here by the 11th, Why offer a pre-ordering service if you can't even ship a disc on time. And don't even try contacting them they never reply. Will avoid in future, you should to.

Just the worst online company I have dealt with. Preordered a game with bonus DLC and the standard game came more then a week late. Sent it back as I had bought it somewhere else by then and now it is a month and a half later and still no refund! Absolutely awful! Avoid and stick with Amazon!! Or anyone else really!

Customer service.....what customer service??? I placed an order on Monday and they came back to me with a query on Wednesday which I responded to straight away but still haven't heard back. I then sent another email on Thursday asking for an update and stating that I would need to cancel the order if they couldn't get my purchase to me for Friday and finally got a response to this email on Friday saying sorry you want to cancel your order....I didn't want to cancel, I wanted them to send it to me!!!! You have to raise all queries online as they do not have a telephone number. You then get an automated response to your emails stating that they aim to respond within 24 hours but allow up to 48. It was 48 hours before they raised the original query with me and it's over 48 hours since I sent my second email. They obviously don't want a £280 sale. What sort of company doesn't have a telephone number to contact them on????? A dodgy one...avoid!!!!!!!

This is my first time ordering from this website Zavvi. I ordered one dvd movie to try it out and be on the safe side incase it was a scam. I ordered on 9/28/2015. Well, I still haven't received my package and after several emails (4 emails) trying to contact customer service, I will finally be receiving my refund in 3 to 5 days. However, the refund is for the wrong amount and it has taken more than a month. After receiving a confirmation email from Zavvi about my refund, I contacted customer service again to advise them the refund is less than what I paid. They answered it will take 3 to 5 days again. Do not order from this site! Scam!!

Awful, awful, awful. I've tried to order an Xbox one twice now and have the conformations only for my account to be closed on each occasion without notice. When I emailed them, cause they don't have a phone number, they say they can't ship due to a security reason. Why not tell me what the reason is then instead of closing my account....... Arrrgghh!!!

Best advice I can offer.... read all reviews before making a purchase. Worst company I have ever dealt with online. Bought PS4 bundle (£330) received with one game missing. Asked why missing, went into investigation for 5 days, waited 5 days.... still under investigation. Told them i wanted game or full refund. Told me to send the PS4 back! No offer of supplying missing game. Asked me to pay £10 for collection, told them to get knotted. Eventually got a free collection and a refund, but the emailing communication (as there is no phone number to speak to a human) is ridiculous, having to wait 24 hours between each message really drags it out! Thankfully had piece of mind that bought by credit card and Virgin were there for back up! Will never use this company again.

Trying to return an item that arrived poorly packaged and damaged - Has taken weeks to get a replacement sent out from their email only customer services, and once I did, they ignored my requests to have it packaged in a box. Lets see if this one arrives damaged too. They have literally ignored pretty much everything I have said to them, and get this - THERE IS NO UK PHONE NUMBER TO CALL, UNLESS YOU BUY THROUGH EBAY- THEN YOU CAN CALL CUSTOMER SERVICES........Don't call them unless you do buy through eBay though because they wont help you. USELESS company and I wont be dealing with them again.

I've been waiting for 7 weeks now for a refund. Zavvi are ignoring all messages on facebook and twitter and are not returning emails through their main website. Not sure what to do now, doesn't seem to be anyone to help?

I ordered a set of Black Books DVDs to be shipped to the US. The price was right, but I should have looked at Zavvi's reviews first! Zavvi sent an e-mail asking me to wait three weeks before letting them know that the product had not arrived. When I contacted them after five weeks, they told me that they couldn't do anything for me after four weeks; no offer of reimbursement or any such thing.

on the 23rd sept i decided to order myself some dodgeball vinyl idolz from zavvi and they cost £14.99 each x 2 = £29.98 and zavvi didnt send with tracking id so just have to wait and they said wait 14 days after dispatch. and today is the 1st oct and i got in was one parcel from ebay and nothing else still waiting. plus on the 25th sept i ordered 5 more vinyl idolz £14.99 each 3 ghostbusters and 2 napoleon dynamite ones of which im still waiting for with 2 pops cylon and darlek pop but zavvi sent the cylon separate by recorded mail i got that but why not send the rest by recorded mail. plus in the past mail men around here have stuck my mail through another thieves door which sounds the same but isn't this address and hes around the corner from me. but no proof of posting so he can pilfer my mail and the postman dosent think twice about looking at the name on the mail just the address lazy man. do wish companys would make it compulsory for them to do recorded mail as a standard or use any other company and stop trying to be cheap by using the cheapest company they dont even take into account the companys bad rep like yodel and hermes. etc royal mail is bad and there postmen just stick letters through anyones door but with no posting id or tracking its theres for the taking. last time ill ever use zavvi.

Worst customer services. Their default position is 'computer says no.' They respond to questions you"ve not asked and with other people's names and continually ignore the tough questions completely. No attempts whatsoever to go above and beyond to rectify problems. No human beings you can talk to and options to respond to problems that are limited and fo not usually fit the problem being reported. So called Zavvi exclusives suddenly crop up on other sites and they state limited editions to get you to buy and then they print lots more eg Tartan steelbook. Appalling.

I pre-ordered skylanders superchargers with zavvi and began to get suspicious yesterday when it just sat I waiting for stock pick. They didn't contact me. I mailed them. I received a reply today to say that They have no stock of the item that I had pre-ordered !!! They may have cheaper prices but there is a reason for this. Their customer service does not exist they are appalling and I am shocked they are still trading. I would rather now pay an extra 10.00 and know I will get the product have asked for and on the day its due. Pls do not buy from zavvi

Pre-ordered a game for release date delivery, a day later and they still have not dispatched it. Customer service are useless and are unable to track/update or advise on an order. Look elsewhere, it may be more expensive but you will get what you paid for and be able to speak to someone with more brain cells that eyes.

Would never use zavvi online again. There customer service skills are absolutely ribbish. when missing items from my order they pretty much kept sending the same response to my messages. frustrating to say the least. Keep well away from zavvi
