Absolutely Awful Service. We took out boiler cover and our boiler is randomly switching the heating on by itself and refusing to turn off getting really hot until we switch itself off at the mains. Rang the claim line and they decided over the phone it’s the diverter valve, this was a claims handler who didn’t have a clue what that does or how it works but that is what the screen said. They refuse to come out and diagnose the fault stating that the diverter valve is part of the heating system and therefore isn’t covered under the boiler cover despite being in the boiler. Even after explaining the diverter valve does not do this and is built into the boiler itself they still decided it isn’t covered and if I want someone to come and look I must pay £95 and then pay for any further parts and labour. They seem to think that any part in the boiler either works the hot water system or the heating system so unless you get the additional cover for that as well your boiler insurance doesn't actually cover anything. They refuse to discuss this and will only say its the diverter valve and we don’t cover that.

Don't waste your time with these cowboys. Reported a leaking radiator and plumber attended next day. He said the pipe needs replacing & policy doesn't cover this. Got a independent plumber out who fixed the leak without replacing the whole pipe. Annoyed at 247 I raised a complaint. The next day 247 rang me to tell me that my complaint was being deadlocked because I didn't provide a invoice. I then provided an invoice and next day they rang again to tell me that complaint is again deadlocked because the email didn't have an email address. 247 rescue are rogue traders. The call centre is based abroad. The employees don't follow regulations and they make pointless excuses. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

The company is a joke ,useless policy The company is a joke ,make sure you read the terms and conditions. I have home emergency cover and had a water leak called 247 home useless rescue explained stopcock is jammed and water is leaking in the ceiling . They said we can’t help as in our terms and conditions we don’t trace the leak. What home emergency company won’t stop water leaking from the ceiling due to a water pipe but this company won’t help. I explained leak was bathroom they wanted photos . I told them it’s an emergency and they said someone will callback don’t know when. I rang a private company who said we can be there in 30 mins . The next day after complaining 247 home useless rescue send someone round who was useless , I should have known , the guy could see there was a leak and said it’s a bath seal which it wasn’t. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys , so whilst policy is cheap you’re not getting any service apart from talking to a call centre abroad. If it was a major leak that would have destroyed so much things I didn’t even get a sorry .I explained that it can’t be as the shower doesn’t reach that far. He then said video it and left. They want videos and photos before they even come . I have decided to get it done myself and replace the two pipes and the tap. In the terms and conditions they don’t fix taps even if faulty or replace them or stop cocks , they don’t fix leaks unless you can photo or video the leak. Appalling customer service I would give them minus 10 review. I’d say stick to British Gas or yorkshire water who always came and fixed the leak without hiding behind terms and conditions in the small print . Please be careful as Christmas may for the company come early if you take a policy and they never repair anything , if you take a policy and they don’t deliver remember I warned you, don’t Don’t do it Don’t take a useless policy with them I have provided my ref ref:MS571243 so you can see this is a genuine person

Awful. Not sure how the regulator allows them to operate This is one of the cheapest providers but HANDS DOWN the worst. They never come to appointments just rearrange and rearrange. So once you have taken a day off work to be at home they cancel the night before. Over and over again. Employees in back office are based in India and have terrible customer service. Cant even lodge a complaint. They refuse to take one. Unbelievable! Avoid this company like the plague. Follow up: 7 December 2023 They finally sent an amateur "engineer". His fiddling ended up breaking the central heating system completely. They promised to send someone to rectify it within 24 hours. Noone bothered to turn up. My 83 year old mother is freezing to death. What and awful company. Having to seek out a local boiler engineer to rectify what they broke. Complaints department told me to sod off. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They told me that they could not get the part to repair my boiler so they triad selling me a new boiler for £2600. I found the part on-line so have ordered it and will get it fitted when it arrives. Very poor service.

Firstly, the man came to service my boiler. He took one look at it and said he couldn't do the work because if he touched the boiler her would have to condemn it. ( boiler was supplied and fitted 3 years ago by the 24/7 team.) He left and I contacted 24/7 to get the work booked in I was informed that the engineer had said he was unable to service the boiler as I wasn't home. They sent another engineer out. He serviced the boiler. Secondly. 6 weeks later my sink had really bad leak so engineer ( the one who condemned the boiler) turned up and said that there was infected 2 leaks. Said he'd done the work and just as he was leaving he asked if the boiler had been sorted. I said they had serviced it 5 weeks prior. He went to look at the boiler and said " that's not right they needed to change the flu and a pipe it should be condemned. He left. I rang again and explained again what had happened and they booked in to do the work . I also informed them that the leaky sink was still leaking really bad now and again work was booked in . Nobody turned up .I rang and was left on hold for half an hour then told oh I don't think your booked in. Now I have a 3 year old boiler that should be condemned and a bathroom that is constantly flooding and they keep saying they will ring me back with an appointment for plumber/engineer but nothing. I'm absolutely fuming the boiler is in our granddaughters bedroom and we are tied into a 40.09 per month service contract that we can't get out of and a dodgy boiler

What an absolute joke! 930pm on Saturday water suddenly gushed out of boiler! Went on App and logged an emergency claim/call. Didn’t hear anything. Had to call out plumber to stop the leak. Called Sunday morning as the app still showed as no engineer allocated. I rung them up mid morning to see what’s happening. They said nothing as you have to pay the excess (which I didn’t mind doing £75). However there was nothing on the App to say that they wouldn’t do anything without the excess. There was nothing saying to ring them. The service isn’t 24/7 because they don’t respond 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They couldn’t get a plumber to come till Monday afternoon. So I have had no water or heat since late Saturday all day Sunday and most of Monday! It’s not an emergency service. Don’t waste your money!

I had really bad experience with 247 they made me pay excess twice for the same problem. Engineer came to look at the problem didn't fix the problem problem, due to this I had to turn my boiler on and off again and again. When I got in touch with them they said I needed to log another claim and pay excess fee. They don't really care about people problem all they are doing cheap business that's all.

24x7 home rescue is the worst company I’ve come across so far for home emergency cover. Every time I’ve made a call for an issue I’ve been asked for money upfront for one reason or the other. All they’re after is your money so please stay well clear off them. It’s the worst decision I made to switch my accounts over to them and am regretting it. I have 2 covers with them and I’m getting 0 value for money. At the time of taking up the policies there was no mention of “charges” for call-outs and I’m on 0 call-out charges, yet, they make up reasons to charge you. The so called “free” boiler service set me back by approx £250 towards some repair which I was later told by a local gas engineer shouldn’t have cost more than £100! A total rip off! Today I called them for an issue and was told I’ll have to pay £75 upfront as the boiler age is >10 years. Why is this not told at the time of taking up the policy? What’s the £0 call-out then? Truly disappointed and kicking myself for trusting them. You’ve been warned…stay well clear!

Your engineer, enter my home, went straight to the back of my house asked me if I had a measuring tape then went on to tell me my flu, what is 3 inches to low and said he’s not doing a service on my boiler and would be in contact with me 10 minutes later, I got a phone call from your office or for me to buy a new boiler I told him no he said he was an information about repairs then I got an email said to repair the flue you would be £250 I’ve got another engineer out to fix that cost me £35 Auntie told me the flie was okay I will be definitely not recommending your company to no one i’ve returned to British Gas who have been doing my service for five years now and have another sit there, anything to me about the flue

I have just this minute cancelled the policy . My boiler is over 6 years old. When it came to renewal, I called in to see the options . I asked if my boiler required for a replacement , what would be the process…. The process was not explained at all and I was constantly being put on hold until they went to find an answer. Three phone calls after , I have found that I would have to pay a contribution of £1000, and then £48 a month for 120 months . In total, that is £6760. An average boiler can vary between £2000-£3000. I have paid a whole year for absolutely no reason whatsoever . Actually a scam, I should have thought it was too good to be true because the prices are so low. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I have kept the recording of The last phone call with the sales rep and explained if it wasn’t cancelled then I would publish everything I have saved online with their voice recordings too. I’ve run with by a lawyer friend who said that is fine to do it necessary. In summary, the payments are pointless . The total cost of £6760 is not right nor fair at all. Don’t believe me ?… try calling them yourselves to find what would it cost to replace the boiler and the process . Let’s see how you find it . Maybe this message helps one person out there that is on the fence about being with this company

Service engineer broke condenser pipe. Tried to fix using glue and hosepipe. Both unsafe. Capped gas off outside without informing me. (Why outside????) Asked to pay 75 quid to repair, paid up front with no guarantee of repair date. Have had a local inde here who has spent 90 minutes sorting their mess out. Avoid this company.

I give them 0 or minus star. The service is extremely poor; even in emergency like leaks they take 4-5 days to send an engineer. They take call-out charges for the second engineer if the first engineer has not resolved your reported issue. Please do not trust them at all. Their policy is not customer friendly; it is just a money-making business. Their service engineers when identify certain problems they say the issue is not covered by the insurance, but they can give a personal quote to work outside of the company's contract. I am going to end the contract with them. If

Abslutely diabolical service. I have a leak thats dripping from the ceiling, they want photos of where the leaks coming from, i sent photos and said they cant see the leak, so basically.can't send someone down to fix it, might as well fix it myself. Unless you are handy and are willing to rip up.floorboards etc to find the leak, steer clear. Thats my direct debit cancelled. Save your money use the H one much better service and will tell you what I he problem is rather than the other way round.

Where do I start? To keep things simple: 1- I thought I had managed to get cheap boiler cover. It turned out they don't cover you if they discover any faults during the regular maintenance check. Boiler capped off without a proper service being done. I had to pay separately for an independent gas engineer who fixed my boiler and carried out a proper service. 2- I was offered an inhibitor for the inconvenience when the engineer failed to show up to a previous appointment. I phoned up afterwards to chase and I was advised that that a manager would phone me back. Several weeks later no manager called. 3- I logged a complaint and was offered a two months reduction on my bill in addition to receiving the inhibitor. I agreed to this. However, after agreeing that it did not make sense for me to have to renew my contract and wait for another annual service, the company agreed to send an engineer to insert the promised inhibitor but then retracted the offer of two months credit. 4- I was outraged that they would retract a previous agreement (retracting all of £10 from the compensation agreed which I found insulting!!!) and asked for details of how I could complain to the Ombudsman. They responded that this part of the cover is not covered by the Ombudsman so I could either like it or lump it effectively. This is despite the fact that their sales team assured me before I purchased cover that I would be covered by the ombudsman. I've realised that I am dealing with cowboys!

5 years of premiums paid, countless pushy sales calls for extras and addons - only to be told remedial works aren't covered on my boiler so i have been paying insurance for nothing all along. Since complaining, I have been harassed and threatened with a high termination fee for breaking my contract, the marketing and agreements say : " Monthly rolling contracts: We're very confident in the level of customer service That there are no contracts that we need for the sake of keeping customers."

247 Home Rescue is really crappy service. They keep changing appointments multiple time. Then when the engineer comes to do the service, he pointed out issues that he said would follow up and we never heard from him. I would advise anyone looking for their boiler service not to use 247
