Exemplary customers for 16 years - paying full amount on time every month; never going over the limit etc. Suddenly for no reason they blocked the cards and also the online account. This went on for a couple of weeks until we received a letter from India saying the account was blocked because the writer did not "feel comfortable". A short while later the cards and online account were re-instated again - only to then be stopped again a short time after. This has made conducting our business very stressful and, although we have received one statement which shows one card's spending, we have not received the full statement which shows the amount to be paid and by what date. I was alerted by Experian that they have put information on my credit file that they have stopped their credit with me. This appears to be a personal vendetta against me. What sort of creeps would do this? I have emailed and written to the CEO at least 6 times and been ignored. I have written to the Serious Complaints Dept. in Glasgow and been ignored. Telephoning is just a waste of time because if you do get through after 40 minutes the person on the other end can't understand you. I think they want me to miss a payment so they can put adverse information on my unblemished credit score. Makes you wonder if they're working for the Russians!

Atrocious. It sounds like a good deal until you try to make a payment. I've set up auto-pay SEVERAL times and it just didn't work, tried to call them and I end up sitting on the phone for over 2 hours and half the time no one picks up, and when I try to pay online I get a "Oops! That wasn't supposed to happen!" notification. So what happnens then? They autocall you 3-5 times a day and don't even have the nerve to have a real person on the line or a way to pay over the phone. Don't waste your time with these people, they're not even slightly worth it.

Trying sort my Barclay-credit card app for 2 days to make an online banking payment. Firstly was told my bank was at fault. I contacted my bank who stated it was the app. Been using chat as contact point. Now no-one is responding to that. So tried direct phone line and was hung up on. My bank has made a payment to Barclaycard which is not showing up on my statement and I can’t get through to anyone to sort it out. I am disgusted. Their customer service is non- existent!!!

Worse customer service even experience recently - 3 times close up the phone line today on me after 45 min waiting time each time ! Dispeakable customer service from a bank, would change it probably ...

This is the worst experience that I ever had, customer service by jetblue ( got my card booking a flight), no reward was given , when I called they hanged up on me 3 times, same when I called Barclay, hanged up twice, this reps are children handling your information and money, no thank you, I cancel the card right the way, the last person who picked up the phone was profesional and did his job correctly but by that time I was very upset and I have zero confidence on them, buyer beware

I too am here to complain about the fact that Banana Republic - Gap sold my account to Barclays. I never received an replacement card and I even tried to do a balance transfer to a ZERO apr card BEFORE they took over my account and they somehow blocked it. Now I can't even get into my account and I also agree (like everyone else here) that their customer service is below par (people are nice, but incapable of doing anything to help). Having a credit card shouldnt be a part time job - just to perform simple tasks. I suggest you ALL make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau like I have done. Maybe if enough pf us complain, something will actually happen.

I had fraud charges and got a letter stating all will be reversed but they just dont do it NOT WORTH IT. HATE the card

I just had to close my account & am really thinking about closing my Gap account with this creditor. I was sent a replacement card for Choice privilege on September 10th 2022 for of this year however the agent never sent out a replacement card just found out today September 23,2022 & after going through both a automated & customer service verification & the agent confusing card replacement information,I was then put on a 3way call with the security verification department who needed my 8yr olds son information for verification purposes even though my under aged child was never on my account (the agent stated she needed to verify because it was public record being very aggressive) I got so upset I just closed my account with them all together, I do not know what country they are in but here in the US that is a violation of children privacy laws. My call was only to find out see if a new card was sent out(which wasn't) the previous account was closed on September 10, 22, & a new card was not issued however a new account was made (with no card) made no sense. The old account was closed (which will affect my credit score & I had to close the new account today (which they never sent a new card for(which will also affect my credit score, this with the pressure to provide personal information on my minor child just pushed me not to deal with this creditor again. I should not have to provide personal information over 3 times on a call & give information for persons who reside with me but are not apart of my credit profolio, maybe it was my urban accent, was reminiscent of being followed in a store for the color of your skin or for the way your dressed.. Thanks but no thanks.

Barclaycard customer service has to be one of the worst customer service departments ever. A scam service was charging my credit card monthly and did so for seven months before I caught it on my statement. I contacted Barclaycard customer service and was told I have to call the scam company before anything could be done. A scam company is impossible to contact. Barclaycard customer service was no help, so I cancaled my card on line.

The 5 star reviews are all paid for from India, take a look at the names and comments. This is a 1 star type of company, they will screw you over as hard as they can and will do nothing at all to help. I wouldn't do business with Barclay's bank in any situation. They are even worse than Wells Fargo, that is true, but hard to believe!

Barclay Credit Card is committing FRAUD by accepting a payment to a closed account and not returning the dollar amount after 4 months. They initially acknowledged receiving the $$ in writing but after multiple phone calls, proof documents and electronic tracking number provided, they now are saying they are unable to locate the $$$. All calls being told "I am sorry...I will escalate this... you have to wait 2-3 billing cycles...someone closed the case..." Still no resolution- Would not recommend getting any credit card with this company.

Everything. There were fraudulent charges on my card, I reported it an was issued a new card and then was unable to jump through the hoops to reactivate it so I didn’t, . I then received more charges (on inactivated card] so I called and cancelled, and then , got another bill with a 100% late fee, to end the nightmare , I paid and just got a dunning email. BTW, in all of this , of the 5 different people I talked to, all were arrogant and condescending. How much do I have to pay to get you gone?

Utilizing our Barclay Carnival Credit card to obtain points for purchase of items during our delayed Anniversary Cruise. Well guess what? Currency there's absolutely NOTHING on the Barclay Carnival Mastercard portal for redeeming points for Carnival Exclusive items which previously included a wine and fruit basket and OTHER items. EXTREMELY disappointing AND strange that NO ONE spoken with can explain this. Including the Barclay personal advising to expect a call back in 24 hours? Carnival personnel giving the FunShip number and they can't help either? Come on Carnival youcan/got to do better. Are you planning to use another credit card company for the Carnival branded credit card, dissolving your relationship with Barclay? PLEASE just let me and the rest of your customers know the reality in this situation so that the BEST decision can be made individually/collectively! I've been loyal to Carnival for MANY years but its starting to feel like it's a one way relationship. Which EVERYONE knows is NOT substanable. Please let me know!

2 hours of my life I will never get back. I talked to 4 agents who never even bothered to communicate to one another so it was starting over every single time. I OVERPAID my gal credit card with synchrony right before they switched to Barclay. For whatever reason they charged a $4 fee once the conversion happened and Barclay charged interest and late fees. So an arbitrary $4 turned into $54… everything for waived in the end (i hope) I’m reading that customers have to keep calling even after being told it has been waived. Customers are being held liable because Gap switched from Syncrony to Barclay for all of their countless mistakes and our credits are on the line. This is complete and total fraud I will never shop at gap or obtain any credit with Barclay.

Barclay's is probably the worst and greediest banks you could find. Don't ever open a credit card with them. If you fly American Airlines warn people not to open an account, they push this horrible credit card during every takeoff.

Literally the worst customer service EVER! They are not helpful and will transfer you from dept to dept. And then if they can't or won't answer your questions after you've continued to call back they leave you on hold and act like they're speaking to someone about your issue then the call will drop. They also increased my APR, and the rep gave some reason like the "bank prime rates" went up. Total BS! Do not get this card. Total nightmare.
