I know things are still far from normal but this is inexcusable. “Barclay Card US: Due to COVID 5/5/2020 bill paid 1 day late. Customer service guaranteed removal of Interest charge of $334.44 on 6/5/2020 Bill and No interest moving forward if paid on time. It was never removed and another Interest charge of $253.01 was on 7/5/2020 Bill. I always pay my bills in full for years. Barclay customer service is a disgrace! Promise one thing and do another!

“I complained because they didn't refund me a lot of fraudulent transactions which were very obvious but not picked up. I was given a reference number for the complaint but never received a response. I then got a credit on my card - no idea if it was from them so I have used that and asked to cancel the card - told them I was not going to ring them up. I won't be using them ever again. By comparison I also had fraud my Sainsburys card. They rang me and instantly credited back the fraudulent transactions - no quibble at all.”

downloaded the commercial card app having totally given up trying to speak to anyone on the phone, hours wasted every month.the app shows totally incorrect information and will not allow me to make payments and so directs me to call! so many complaints i have lost count. a £75 payment offered by barclays last month as an apology was never paid but card limit was reduced by £600 instead!!! its that time of the month again so will set aside 2 or 3 hours to attempt to make payment, truly shocking service”

Absolutely appalled by Barclaycard's customer service or lack thereof over the last three months. Not only is it impossible to actually get through to them (as you'll read in many reviews below), you send a secure message online where it clearly states they will respond in 24 hours and you either get a generic "we've forwarded this on" message or nothing for 4 days. Then when you do get a reply they haven't even done what you asked them to do. I phoned the number I was given by Barclays for their complaints line and guess what?! The complaints department is closed due to Covid 19!! What a surprise.
They currently owe me £2,000 which is sat on my credit card (having received a refund through my travel provider eventually) and yet they seem incompetent or unwilling to refund that credit to my bank account - which you guessed it, is a Barclays account.
If I was sat on £2,000 on their money you can bet your bottom dollar I'd be in all sorts of trouble.
Absolute joke and will be leaving Barclaycard as soon as I get my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Worst customer service ever, both company and staff. On the phone for over 1:30 minutes, they kept passing me from one agent to another, the last was over 40 minute before i hung up. They are thieves, they charge you even during interest free period and no one could either own up or try to resolve the issue, instead push you to the next person. Desist from using them. they worth minus 10 star rating.”
“Because of their technical issues and inability for me to contact them they left an erroneous late payment on my credit report.
Spent weeks trying to contact them, went into branch, raised complaints and never heard anything. I can contact Halifax in under 5 mins.
Got rejected for our mortgage today, estimated cost of £8k because of their incompetence.
My complaint will be being escalated to the FCA.
DO NOT USE THEM.”

You can never get through and when I do, I am just getting knocked from pillar to post and being transferred from this person to the next just to be told they cannot cancel and order me a new card. I wish I could give no stars because Barclaycard are that dreadful. I will be cutting ties with them after this. An absolute disgrace of a company.”
“I have had this Barclay Credit card for over 20 years. I received a letter stating account closed? I have very good credit and didnt understand why? When I called they stated due to not using it often enough. What! Are you kidding me ... I had not used it for over a year so they cancelled me. They did say I could reapply. No thank you. I have cards not used well over that and have not used them and they didnt kick me to the curb. Good riddance”

I just want to say, avoid Barclay's credit cards. I plan to pay mine off, never to be used again. They advertise for cards with 2 airmiles programs. “Do NOT recommend this card for anyone!! After having the card for a year & not using it, they said they would close my account if I didn’t use it. I didn’t want my account to close so I ordered a new card. Only to find out they lowered by available credit $500 less than what it was without telling me!!
