A truly terrible company. They sent me the wrong goods and after innumerable emails, I still have not received a refund. They just fob you off in the hope that you will give up. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Zer stars - Place your order, they take your money and then keep your fingers crossed you may receive the product , then again ..... Most appalling call centre customer service in a very long time!! Ordered a mosquito net and recived text to say making its way around factory. Checked progress by calling and advised showing zero stock on both systems so would probably be cancelled. Was promised a call back from manager to sort 7 hours ago - no response! Called again to ask about call I was waiting for and told by not very helpful Phillip(?) item in stock. Asked to speak to a manager about conflicting stories...apparently not willing to talk to customers. Absolutely clueless !! Zero stars

NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. 1.They take your money and then say they no longer have the item in stock and take weeks to give a refund. 2. They take your money then send you something different to what you have ordered. You send the item back and wait weeks for a refund. They do not refund postage even though it is their fault. They are cowboys. They are charlatans. They are crooks. They refuse to oblige by Consumer Rights Laws. Keep well clear. Take your custom elsewhere.

Shocking service, ordered some North face gloves in the sale online on the 6th Jan to be collected in store at the Hull branch. Received an email on the 9th saying they had been dispatched and i would receive another email to collect. On the 15th I emailed for an update and was sent tracking info that they when been packaged. Now on the 16th I receive an email saying that I have been refunded for my returned goods that I have not even received!!! No they are back to full price on the website. Only automated responses to emails no answer on telephone will order from a reliable supplier!!!!

Worst customer service bought and paid for berghaus jumper on 31st dec 10-days ago and no reply of my 4 emails and when try to call more than 40-min on wait can’t get through to them Never will buy from black

DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY, DO NOT BUY from them even if it’s cheaper than other retailers. The hassle they have put me through is not worth of the money saved! If there is a choice I wouldn’t even given a star at all. Customer service is extremely appalling - worse I have ever experienced. I ordered a pair of glove which is only £25 but I have to constantly calling to get an update for the delivery status. Apparently they are experiencing a long delay in their warehouse. I called customer service a week after my order was placed, then I was advised the order is showing “expected dispatch by today”, so I waited and I heard nothing from them for another 3 days, called back again, same advice “warehouse expected dispatching it today”. Called back the next day, my order was still sitting in their warehouse. I had spend half an hour on the phone over 5 phone calls and I still didn’t get the glove I ordered. Yes they were £10 cheaper than Northface store but with all of the hassle I have to go through..this is totally not worth it. All their customer service representative can do is apologise for the delay - nothing else! If don’t care about receiving your order weeks later then by all mean, save money as they are cheaper. But for people who needs their good within 3/4 weeks time, my advice is AVOID them. Honestly, you can make more money if you use the time at work than keep calling their customer service and wasting hours on the phone to find your order with BLACKS. I will never purchased from them ever again based on this horrific experience.

Ordered a pair if mountain bike tyres on black friday, waited a week then the wrong size turned up, contacted customer services and was told to take them back to the nearest shop! Shop refunded and re ordered, waited another week for the wrong size to be sent again! Contacted customer services again who were very unhelpful, in the end i gave up and cancelled the order and got them from else where with free next day delivery! They wouldn't even compensate us from having to take the time to take them back twice! Steer well clear if your ordering mountain bike items and use a mountain bike website that knows what they're doing! May be they're employing people that can't read, i shan't be ordering or buying anything from blacks or recommending them to anyone in the future!

Terrible service from order to delivery. The mobile experience of ordering a product was an absolute failure as I was not able to complete the process due to a tech glitch preventing me from receiving an OTP code. I eventually managed to order a product using my desktop computer but then faced a number of issues with the delivery service. Hermès, the shipping company they used failed to deliver the product. They didn’t call my nephew who was waiting for his X-Mas gift for two days! Customer service was impossible to reach. I wrote an email to their customer service without ever getting a reply...

Twice ive ordered the same pair of boots which were showing instock and both times a week later a paypal refund with no explanation. The second time i had ishmail from customer services check live stock and there were 20pairs but yet my order was still cancelled. Very poor service and no explanations.

Ordered a coat for my son in Black Friday sales. Ten days later contacted Blacks to enquire when this was due to be dispatched! Advised it was still sitting at the warehouse awaiting dispatch. Next day received an email to say the coat had been dispatched. No coat received to date and I have requested a refund as I am advised it has been lost in transit.

I mistakenly made a duplicate order online, contacted customer service within minutes on making the order to explain and requested that they cancel one of the orders to be told that there isnt anything they can do, I will just have to wait to receive the order and send it back and request a refund!!! Very unhelpful. WILL NOT SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN!!! I RECOMMEND YOU ALL STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO PLAY SILLY BEGGERS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

Cancelled my first order after a week of waiting out of the blue ‘item out of stock’ but you can still order on web .. customer service next to useless. Stupidly tried ordering another item .. week later nothing , after 20 min waiting on hold , was told one item was picked and in bag ‘and virtually on my doorstep’ the other item is in stock but not picked yet .. Saga continues apparently will call me back next day to day dispatched .. won’t hold my breath .. Have ordered else where .. and if it does turn up will take to local store for refund.. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Blacks are currently advertising an extra 20% off Osprey Poco AG backpacks on Google. When you go to place an order the additional discount does not work. On speaking with Blacks Customer Service I was told "[they] don't know whey Google is doing that" and that they could not honour the promotion. We all know that Google doesn't make up adverts. One for the ombudsman I feel.

Useless. Placed my order last Wednesday and got order confirmation. Heard nothing for 9 days so I chased just now only to be told the item was allegedly lost in transit and is now out of stock. Waste of my time. Needless to say I won't ever shop at Blacks again.

Horrible. They sent me a torn jacket. When I got in contact with them, they said I must ship that jacket back to them, so they will fo some experiments to get known where this happen with jacket (hinting that it's my fault) and I must pay for shipping. Because they sent me a torn jacket - I must pay them more. These cheaters didn't got enough from selling me terrible stuff. I shipped it back, now they don't answer me at all. Not recommend at all. Horrible shop, bad things they sell, low quality support.

Order cancelled ‘ We're sorry to say that he following items have been cancelled as we had no stock available when we came to pick your order‘ yet still showing as in stock on website. Shambles of a company. Will never use again.
