I am writing to say how disappointed I am that JD Williams are forcing their employees to work during the Coronavirus outbreak on the construction & delivery of non essential household items. Especially as it is often unavoidable for them to work in close proximity to each other in their factory warehouse in Glossop

I have an account with these con artists never had any trouble with them until last week. I received a phone call from a debt collection agency telling me I had missed a payment, I told her as soon as the invoice arrives I always pay the full amount but I had not had the invoice. She then started asking me about any other debts I had because the invoice was definitely sent.I then asked her the total owed and paid with my debit card. Its a brilliant con just do not send the invoice slap a £12 late payment on and Roberts your fathers brother...NEVER AGAIN..

This company only cares about taking your money. Customer service non-existent. They bombard me with 'free delivery' and various discounts, but when you order the reduction is never taking place. They do not answer complaints. The question of 'how quick did the company relay to your queries?' is therefore not applicable.

absolutely disgusting service. I ordered 4 chairs but they cancelled 2 of them stating they were out of stock. when I phoned the said I could re order and pay again as they were now back in stock s I did so after paying now for 8 chairs nearly 2 weeks later they turned up 2 leather @ 2 fabric .ive just called and was told that id have to re order again another 4 chairs . I defiantly wont be and I wont be using them again for sure

Rude, misleading and hostile... Rude - Hangs up on their customer when trying to address a returns issue... 3 times. They do not care, they just keep taking the customers money and fob their customer off to THEIR contracted courier. No company level redress. Misleading - Their own website has a phone number to call for complaints... ...that is NO longer in use. Recorded answer supplies ANOTHER number that... ain't 'complaints', it's orders, or as we call 'em SALES. Returns courier appointments have a 48hour window... ...and when they STILL fail to collect; who you gonna CALL. TRADING STANDARDS! Hostile - those that answer 'demand' a customer number, even if not a customer. No awareness of the legal consumer rights of the customer. Obstructive when trying to address problems; happy to keep an 81 year old customer waiting in for days for THEIR contracted courier collection company. Said customer cancelled other appointments to be present to hand over an expensive return that was not fit for purpose; not EVERY 81 year old is conversant with cloud-based requirements. If you are happy to be abused by a retailer, by all means use this company. ...it'll make Steve Johnson MD (reportedly) happy.

Avoid like the plague. First time I ordered with them, the order goes missing, get told to basically suck it up and re-order. Still waiting on refund. I order again and paid for next days delivery.. what do you know... missing again. Totally incompetent and they do not care

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Tried to return a jacket the same day it arrived after having tried it on and decided it was no use. No returns label with package so had to go into web site to get return address. Also in same web site clicked on 'Arrange a return' and was informed it would be picked up by courier in 1/2 days, this did not happen so did same again this time informed it would be 1/3 days. Again waited but no courier went on to chat line where I met with nothing but pathetic excuses with the blame being placed on courier. Surely if an item is ordered with JD Williams it is their responsibility to make sure the information is passed to courier service hired by them for their deliveries, you would think, but not according to JD Williams customer service. My advice is do not have any dealings with this company as they are rubbish in my opinion.

Something has gone horribly wrong with N Brown Group stores. Either Steve Johnson made them worse, or he just can't do anything about a crumbling company. I went through a weeks long fiasco with their Simply Be store. What a mess that was. A nightmare. Now I am dealing with the same reason. The same excuses. All with Jd Williams. All these stores have the same reps. Same CEO. Same warehouse. And somewhere in that chain, there is broken link. I have been told by both stores that my order got stuck in the system and nothing could be done but to cancel and reorder. Sound simple? WRONG. They have to cancel the order. Wait for funds to appear on the card later. Then try to reorder. And if you know anything about these stores, most items won't be available by then. Stock is a major problem. and the IT dept couldn't make a Play Dough computer. They got my money already. I worked in this line of business. I know that a real human could easily fix an order and get the warehouse in line. I can log on and see my items. So shouldn't they be able to? Surely. But I think they are LYING about the stuck order and probably don't have the items I ordered. Its a stall tactic. If it wasn't they wouldnt be playing so dumb. AVOID N BROWN GROUP STORES. They have fallen to pieces and will make you an angry consumer if you even try to order from them. Ignore the positive reviews. They are likely fake.

Paid over £6 for Next Day delivery. It' 2 days already gone and no delivery attempted. The item hasn't even left the warehouse. Ordered first and surely last time.

Warning to all!! DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THESE PEOPLE! BADLY MADE, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I CAN HONESTLY SAY IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!! KEEP AWAY FROM JD WILLIAMS!!!!!!

do not order from this company. Goods turned up damaged and now I have to chase the business to get a refund when they told me it would be paid within 7 days of the item being picked up. Now they tell me another 5 days, so I will have to check again to make sure I actually have my money back!

I had a really bad experience, went to collect my rug from the local shop that was my collection point. Could touch the rug, however was not allowed to take it as the collection PIN I was given did not work, 3 attempts and I was told it would be automatically sent back and there was nothing I could do about it. Then had to make lots of phone calls, with useless, unhelpful advice, I was told to tell the shop to ring the parcel company, I was told to go back to the shop, call JD Williams again and then hold on the line while they spoke to the parcel company for me, to then pass on to the shop keeper. When I rang back as told to they would not do this. Instead they said they would reset the PIN, but they just resent the same one. I spent the majority of my evening trying to sort this as I was told something different by every person I spoke to. Someone finally admitted there had been problems for a couple of weeks with collection pins. The only way to get the rug would be to order again to my house apparently. I had had enough by then and said I just wanted a refund, I was told this would happen automatically when the rug is returned, including my unlimited delivery I paid for and have not used. I have not received the delivery refund. The reason I actually felt compelled to share my experience in the end was when I saw my phone bill- £10 for the calls I made to customer services- absolute thiefs! And to think they wanted me to stay on the phone at my own expense to the delivery company as well- dread to think what this might have added on! Avoid like the plague!

I have sent 3 emails in the last 4 weeks, I haven’t received an acknowledgment to any of them. I returned a complete order 3 weeks ago but I haven’t been credited for it and I paid for the items I kept to the sum of £47 but they charged me a credit charge of £8.52 which I have paid as I don’t like to owe anything, I have asked to have this refunded 3 times but I have been ignored. Their customer service is abysmal.

Ordered a camera costing over £400. It was never delivered but I was charged. After numerous messages to the company I asked for a refund. Advised the refund will take 5-7 days. Terrible service will never use again.

The next day delivery I paid for did not arrive at all but the excuses since and the level of customer service is shockingly bad! I could write a book about this. I've tried their live chat, email and now resolver. They all appear to be slightly thick!

Avoid at all costs - I was scammed. My wife bought a wall cabinet from this company. The hinge broke in less than 24 hours - it was not fit for purpose. The manual offers a spare parts service - I rang the customer helpline in the manual. I was charged 24 pounds for the phonecall without my consent. No mention of a charge in the manual, no mention of a charge when I called. They kept me on the line as long as possible and would not replace the part - they wanted me to take the cabinet off the wall, take it apart and send it back (not reasonable). 24 pounds for a phonecall is of course what you expect from a scam operation. I plan to escalate this to trading standards if this is not resolved

Customer service is a joke 6 e mails sent in the end paid my balance and cancelled account dont reccomend this company all good till you have a problem which needs a decision.

Took money from stolen and stopped card despite being informed of the matter. Knowing that a card was stolen and continuing to take payment and send goods to thief. Clear fraud
