As a very long standing customer of JD Williams and affiliated umbrella companies, am finding it difficult to write anything good about them these days. My main issue is sizing. I have to order goods in multiple sizes to find a decent fit. I am size 10, 12, 14 OR 16 depending on whatever criteria is used at the moment. Returns are now such a nightmare…..and due to the sizing issues, there are MANY returns!!!! I defy anyone but the most nimblest of techies to jump through all the hoops required to return anything. Trying to find anything resembling a logical pattern on the JDW app when looking details of your transactions , contact options or return status is becoming a real problem. Another complaint: some garments look exactly as you see them on your app. Mostly though, the poor, thin over- stuffed plastic bags the clothes now arrive in reduce the contents to unrecognisable, unappealing items that we are expected to lightly press! Finally, try contacting JDW for ‘a chat’ ……you’re in for a terrific queue … which you seem to get inexplicably bounced up and down in order of being answered. You start typing but the ‘assistant’ becomes an ever changing crew of ‘people’, each of whom ask you for the same information the last one did. Eventually, when they have toyed with you long enough, off they pop and another takes over. I may sound light hearted over this, but actually I am deeply disappointed, frustrated and sad at how much this company has changed.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.... Do not use this company for any large items if there is a slight chance you need to send it back. I brought 2 large foldout jaybe beds at £300 each paid for bulky item delivery. Well unfortunately only 1 fit, so I needed to send 1 back. WELL oh my goodness do they make it so impossible to do this 3 weeks after requesting the return and to arrange collection of the brand new bed still in box by the way! Im still waiting this is after 30 phone calls, 20 emails and so many live chats I've lost count, and it even being escalated to a manager finally to be told exactly the same thing I've been told endless times now please wait 72 more hrs for a response that's all they say! So I'm stuck with a £300 bed I can't send back. Absolutely disgusting, their customer service are all robots who just repeat the same thing you end up pulling your hair out. Please avoid this company the treatment has been horrendous. If you do still choose to buy from JD WILLIAMS.....DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY ANY BIG ITEMS ONLINE! you can not send them back. JD WILLIAMS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!

This company used to be respectable and reliable many years ago, not any more. I’ve been trying to return an item for 2 weeks, first they said they’d send me an evri return label because they no longer deal with the post office, they claim it takes 7-10 days! Really?! It didn’t arrive. The said they’d send me another, that didn’t arrive either! I phoned again and was told they would just send me a post office QR code which is what I asked for originally and was told that couldn’t be done? After 2 attempts I finally received the QR code and just hoping it works when I take it to the post office tomorrow. The item I’m returning is supposed to be size 12 but measures 48 inches across the chest. I’ve said I will refuse to pay the delivery charge for it because it’s obviously wrongly sized and they just keep repeating that it’s a big size and refuse to listen. This company has become the absolute pits and should be closed down! After 30 or 40 years with them I will now be closing my account.

I ordered a Keter Darwin shed and only received half of it. JD Williams state a complete shed was sent. Not true! Appalling customer service. 3 day wait is unacceptable and even more so when you don't get any response, ever. DO NOT deal with this company unless you are happy to be ripped off.

Sent back a Religion top on 22nd July Had to send back as it arrived in a tiny bag so creased up would never get the creases out and was dry clean only No refund although they received back I have found out They do not inform of receipt which a lot of good companies do Chased last week and was told 14 days to receive a refund Yesterday called again as still no refund and told will get refund done Will be 3-5 days Do they hope you will forget you need a refund ?? Not impressed with the way this company works Will not use again Not worth the hassle

Would have given zero stars if possible.shopped with j.d over 20 years and fine till now ....sent me completely wrong order .to add insult to injury they won't pick up returns anymore .I'm 66 and disabled so their pick up returns was what attracted me .now it's scan this QR code .print this .scan that .can't be bothered anymore.im too unwell to put myself through the ordeal of it all.byebye JD Williams...

I have always given very good reviews, but unfortunately the returns system has been changed it is awful!!! So confusing really disappointed it will put me off ordering, please make it easier to return!

Awful experience from start to…hang on they’ve still not sent me the product! I bought my son a switch 2 for his birthday in line with their expected delivery. They’ve now told me this isn’t possible and will be another 10+days - they’ve my money and to cancel I need to send one accessory back before they can start to process the refund. Absolute joke of a customer service (abroad!). I regret buying this from them - never again!

Spent 3 days trying to get connected to an actual person not a BOT Yesterday I was 200 and something in the queue They shut down before I was connected Today I am 300 and something in the queue so doubt if I will get through today It’s useless

They asked me to set up a direct debit to clear my debt. Said a specific amount per month would do this. It was a lot but, I did it because I want the debt cleared. The debt is not clearing, they pretty much just lied to me to squeeze more money out of me. The direct debit was set for a specific date so as to guarantee there is money in my account and they just decide to take it randomly whenever they feel like it making me overdrawn. Do yourself a favour, don't use any of their companies and definitely don't set up direct debits with them. Completely untrustworthy liars with the absolute worst customer service I've ever encountered.

I ordered a washing machine towards the end of last year. It was faulty and, since then, I have e-mailed, telephoned and sent letters. Several times they have given me a date when they would collect it, but none of these dates was carried out.

Incredibly archaic experience, I imagine this company will soon be left behind. I found some bedding on JD Williams, was a bit sceptical as never heard of them before and the price was cheap. I was forced to create an account and it was incredibly painful trying to fill in their forms for shipping/billing; the character limit for some fields was too short and when I saved the address, it dropped key information and added its own. After jumping through enough hoops I managed to place an order. 3 weeks later I wonder why it hasn't arrived as I hadn't received any more emails since the order confirmation. So I logged into my account and the transaction status on the order said `Cancelled Item`. Quite shocking they wouldn't communicate this to me?

Ordered for next day delivery never arrived paid. £5.99 then iwas told it isn't guaranteed thaythen tried to refund me£1 are they joking it's taken me 5 phone calls to sort this one of the worsted company's every will never deal with them again A very angry customer Mrs Evelyn young

I have an IT issue that means i am unable to use my account. Every time i go to add something it tells me i have reached the max amount in my shopping bag when i have nothing in it, i have spent nearly 2 hours online with their customer service who haven't got a clue how to resolve this glitch so unable to use the account.

Shocking company. Cancelled product immediately. Confirmed it was. Then realised it wasn’t so had to phone again. Received email confirmation only for the item to be delivered. Returned unopened immediately to be told it can’t be returned as item opened. No accountability to their error berybpoo

This company is a scam, don't trust it. I ordered a freezer from them. it was delivered at 6 am with no prior warning on 9 December. the same day I contacted the company via their online chat. They agreed to pick up the freezer on 13 December and refund. It was no picked up, I have since checked my account and £7 and £5 was taken from my account without my authorisation or understanding why. It is now 2 January, the freezer is still not picked up creating an eyesore in my kitchen over the festive season and I have not been refunded despite constantly contacting the company. I am now having to go to my bank to raise a dispute.

EVERYTHING!!! PLEASE PROVIDE AN ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESS TO ME VIA LOOKING UP MY OLD NOW DEFUNCT HOME ADDRESS (and email me) my old address postcode being EH11 1 QJ and so I can engage with an actual human being rather than having to phone in yet again to repeat over and over again all of the issues I have experienced via your company and Evri since I placed an order last weekend on completing a home move. Look at the time I am posting this now and know that whilst I work F/T I am time poor, and I now wish to raise an URGENT COMPLAINT - seeing as I attempted to re-order and place a new order yesterday evening (what was Monday or Tuesday earlier this week) to aid me getting ready for my and my child's Christmas IN TIME in our new home and given the absolute car crash between your company and Evri have caused re my order at the weekend for which Evri are now on a continual loop of attempting to, or actually delivering or attempting re-delivery attempts to an address I have no access to, no transport of my own to go and collect from a safe place or neighbour and Evri's "tracking" app, site and phone number do not work to be able to rectify these issues either, this has been so far APPAULLING!!!! TO TOP ALL THAT OFF I SEE VIA MY ACCOUNT LOG IN NOW THAT YOU APPEAR TO HAVE ZERO'd my credit limit and cancelled a number fo the items I ahve attempted to re-order in the last 24 - 48 HOURS, WHY???!!! Are you trying to drive me insane?! Because if you that is working. I am now going to bed at 2.10am beyond upset and Irked, DO something positive in my direct today whilst I at work and email me you will be able to ID me from my old post code and if I can get a direct way to communicate with some one in your company who start to unpick all of these issues that is the best way forward. Simply the best, most of the reviews here are scammers and fraudsters that have failed and complain about the security measures put in place. My experience was great, but when I asked about the negativity, this is what I was advised.

Opened a account got a 200 limit made first order was cancelled immediately and limits now zero awful company and customer service is very poor indeed wish never bothered with them would give zero stars if.could
