Parked in NCP's Birmingham "Londonderry House" multi-storey car-park, alongside the city's Queen Elizabeth Law Courts on a Friday morning. I arrived at 09.41am and left at 2.11pm the same day. The cost ? a staggering £24 for 4hrs 30mins. Outrageous rip-off

We chose to leave our car with the summer special valet car parking run by the NCP..... within the first hour of us leaving our car there it was driven into a lamp post and subsequently written off. It has been an absolute nightmare for us claiming compensation from either Gatwick or the NCP for the stress and anxiety it has caused us, not to mension the ruined holiday and hassle it has been to source a new car within a very short time scale before the courtesy car is taken from us. The customer service has been shocking all round, leaving me to feel as though i’m being blamed for the whole unfortunate incident. Please do not leave your car here if you want peace of mind that it’s being compently looked after whilst you are away.

Parked in Glasgow King Street for 1 hour and upon leaving I entered car reg number and time of arrival and was asked to pay 33.50. Paid using debit card and left car park. 2 weeks later Ive had a fine letter saying I didn't pay and could not find a payment on their records, only sending me photos of my car entering/exiting. I'm now in an appeal situation and the car park are saying I need to prove the £3.50 payment which Ive already shown them was paid on bank statement, I need to prove it was for this car park and that time, haha. the bank laughed at me when I asked them if they provide such detail which they don't of course. Ive now submitted it to the appeal place and wait to see what happens. by sound of other threads it may be rejected but I will refuse to pay this as I have done nothing wrong..... anyone else had this and do you know if they will continue to harass me or can I go anywhere else with this if appeal is rejected ??

We parked at the Covent Garden NCP London we pre paid 11am-11pm when we arrived back to our car the car had been broken into back passenger window smashed in and all contents take company laptop and our shopping from selfridges!! 3 vehicles had been broken into the same time! This is meant to be a SECURE car park and when questioning the staff on duty he said the main shutters were broken along with the emergency exits which ANYONE can access! They staff were as useful as a chocolate teapot and acted very shady! Currently having to go through insurance to see if our stolen goods are covered!

In March 2018 I stayed at Rumford street NCP carpark in Liverpool . I entered by Rev and put in the required payment for 2 hours (£7.60) but no ticket was produced . I tried to get my money back to try again but to no avail . I assumed that it wasn’t a problem as I had entered my reg but I did think it odd. Several weeks later I receive a letter saying that they had a video of meeting entering and leaving g the car park but not registering at the machine and we’re fining me £130 . They rejected my appeal. They are now taking me to court, the five having risen to £260 after 18 months ( I’ve still not paid as I wish to fight this in court) . My friend had exactly the same problem with this exact carpark a month earlier!! Their machine was mal functioning ( a common fault I hear). Had ANYONE had this same Problem with rumford st carpark???

Parking machine out of service Had to get on train Did not want to use phone to pay by saying out loud card number and security number to carriage full Created an NCP account to pay NCP website would not accept payment on the day only future parking Had to create a "DASH" account to pay there and then. Ran out of time on train as arrived at destination After a meeting created "DASH" account and paid for that day and a further 2 days as staying in London Too late parking ticket issued. Appealed, rejected as "there were machines present", even though I had provide a photo of the only "out of service" machine NCP said "we have not chosen to participate" with the ombudsman and must use POPLA but if You do then you must pay the full amount. Seems like they are really trying to dissuade appeals! So I paid and appealed BUT in the small print of POPLA's FAQ says if you pay, you can not appeal? Catch 22 - They win what ever!

Our car got broken into on Sunday night. At the ncp in holborn in London. The back window was smashed up and 5 suitcases were tipped out and a lot of our items were taken. I came back home with no suitcase or for my two years old. Literally all my make up was taken, all my expensive outfits, jewellery, perfume bottles, shoes and sentimental items that will never be replaced. This car park spouse to have security and able to look after cars as that's what we pay for. Will never ever use your car park again. I'm going to name an shame you so word gets around and puts customers off using your car park. I have already started doing this from today and will carry on as your team wasn't helpful at all.

I used the NCP Finsbury Square car park recently and was shocked to find on my return that multiple cars had been smashed into and items stolen despite this being a restricted gated access. There was no security, no cameras and you are essentially stuck in the basement and potentially at risk if stuck alone whilst criminal activity is taking place. The NCP price is excessively overpriced for what it’s worth (I paid £38 for 2 hours) and as expected they refused to take any liability or even provide a refund on the car park charge given the poor circumstances. In fact their customer service gave a poor response to the incident and I don’t think this is a one off given their laid back attitude to things. Thank you for keeping my money and not giving any regards to customer experience. It’s not a safe car park nor is it secure. Terrible company. Please avoid.

I’m sorry to read people’s experience of NCP parking machines. I too have been fined £60 The machine wouldn’t accept my car registration number it just took the first three letters so I put my money in. I got a ticket and wish now I’d kept it. I did for a bit and must have thrown it away when I cleaned the car. It’s so unfair as you can’t prove that the machine didn’t work. It’s your word against there’s. I shan’t be using this car park again or any of there car parks.

I used the Car park in Hemel Hempstead... Stubborn, unhelpful. Bad working machines, ended up getting me a £100 fine. Just because I couldn't prove their own machine is faulty!! Racketeering scam for sure. Avoid all NCP car parks if you can.

£16.50 for a little over 4 hours parking in Chester. This was after 6pm. I thought I'd get back and have to pay £5 or maybe a maximum of £8. But I've been completely ripped off. I've learnt my lesson and I'll never park in an NCP again

I parked my car for 1.5 hours at their Mayfair site, just off Berkeley square. My car windows got smashed in and the contents of my car stolen. I contacted them via phone and email, asking for a £45 refund to cover the cost of my parking ticket. They refused to pay me anything. Rubbish customer service and a robbing company.

I went to Cambridge rail station to collect my son. It was my first visit here. I parked and went to pay at the machine. It had a sign which stated pay at bile storage machine. Where ? No indication, so eventually I found it. I put my car registration in and it came up as a minimum of nine pounds. I wasn’t paying that just to collect my son. I tried to cancel it, but it showed I had until 18:16 to leave, it was now 18:18 as it had taken me so long to find it. I pressed the help button and it just changed screen a few times and nobody spoke to me. I had no option as I know my registration was on camera, but to pay. I pressed the pay button and held my card over the reader. It went quick as a flash on to the next person screen. Had it taken my payment ? It states receipts are not given. This was a pretty bad experience on my first visit to Cambridge. I felt I had been robbed. I know from experience what NCP are like and never park in their car parks. This was total confusion and deception to extort money from unknowing customers. I hope Cambridge council are proud they use companies like this to raise money for they, who knows how many fines are given out because of this confusing practise ?

I took my niece to the New Theatre in Cardiff last night to see one of her GCSE set texts being performed. I stupidly parked in the nearest carpark which happened to be NCP and was charged SIXTEEN POUNDS for parking from 7.09pm to 10.19pm. I'm used to paying around five pounds for evening parking in other Cardiff carparks which is why I near thought to check the price when I entered the NCP carpark. I will never park in a NCP carpark again.

NCP King Street Glasgow. Parked for 2 hours December 2018. Paid for parking before leaving. Didn’t get receipt. Got parking notice on February saying I hadn’t paid. Appealed decision. This was denied. I now need to pay £50 in 14 days or else £100. Feel bullied and frightened and intimidated. Feel like they are robbing me and there is nothing I can do. DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK

18th December parked in the Brittania car park, Hinckley. Put 60p for an hour's parking it took my money but did not issue a ticket. Went to the other machine to see if that was working which wasn't as a lady complained that she too had lost her money. Then we receive a 100 pound penalty notice for not paying I appealed but have lost.We were in that car park for 20 minutes, 5 minutes of that was trying to get a ticket. If I pay early it will be 60 pounds. 60pounds and 60p parking for 20 minutes. What a rip off. I will never park in a box car park again.
