NCP car park SCAM!! The new charging mechanism where you park and then enter your registration plate in before you leave to pay is a massive scam! The charge automatically comes up when i put my registration in, so i paid the charge that comes up automatically to then be sent a parking fine because apparently the machine didn't charge enough. Appealed it and they said they didn't agree and the charge was for a shorter period of time, unable to appeal again! They are scamming so many people with this and are not being held accountable! It would be interesting to see the anount of people they have done this to and the amount of money they have made out of this SCAM system.

I had already many encounters with NCP, who are regularly overcharging customers. The customer service is terrible and the company does not meet the legal requirements regarding GDPR. It is very unfortunate that they have parkings in every city and airport.

We parked in Adams St car park in Cardiff. We paid at the machine. We got the ticket. Thought nothing of until about a month later we got a fine to say we had not paid. We had thrown the ticket away as thought no need of it now. As we paid by credit card we sent copies of the statement stating it was for Adams St car park. They sent an email saying we had won our appeal. But the cheeky people said that we should make sure we pay in future!

If I could give no stars I would!!! I received a parking fine for unpaid parking but in fact I paid for a 3 hours stay and only stayed for just over an hour. As it was 6 weeks later I no longer had the ticket but had proof on a bank statement of payment and date it was made and in what car park. Apparently this was not enough evidence in their eyes and still had to pay the fine which I am not happy about!! And to make it worse its the 2nd time this has happened. I will not be parking there again and I would advise everyone to think twice as I think they are scamming people out of their money!!

Used Rumford street car park in Liverpool whilst attending a wedding reception. When I left I paid at machine no problem. So why do I get a parking notice for £100 this morning? I paid what the machine said I owed.

At a weekend in Birmingham city centre car parking at Londonderry House, Dalton Street B4 7LX is £5 a day - brilliant. I booked online and got sent a QR code to use from my smart phone. I chose this car park as it was cheap and only 10 minutes walk to the Town Hall, Victoria Square. Upon arrival, with the pressure of a car behind me also entering the car park, I couldn't immediately see the scanner for the QR code, so I took a ticket and entered, found a space and came back down to locate a helpful assistant, Adam Morgan was extremely patient and helpful with me, showing me exactly where the scanner was on the machine so that on my exit I would scan the QR code and the barrier would lift, and just in case, he showed me where the assistant button was. Feeling relieved I asked for directions to Victoria Square, at first he sent me in one direction and then chased after me to correct himself, and it was really easy. Thank you for being so helpful.

NCP has the worth telephone assistant. I have been through almost 40 minutes of waiting for the phone to answer (20 minutes at the machine and 20 minutes at the barrier causing a long cue of car behind as well as a long cue into the carpark that gone round the block) . All because the bar code on my ticket was slightly smudged due to rain ! Good job I had no appointment to attend to. I have experienced similar last Dec at NCP next to Holiday Inn in Leicester when the man turn up after one hour and we al.ost missed the party .

Glasgow Airport Long Stay Carpark “Safe and Secure” - Don’t Kid Yourself !!!! Glasgow Airport Website states... “Book with us today for peace of mind, knowing your car is safe and secure while you’re away.” “Our car-parks are monitored by CCTV and have regular security patrols to ensure that your vehicle remains safe and secure” Came back to car after two weeks holiday to find it damaged down the drivers side. Reported it to onsite NCP staff who took a report. Followed up with NCP. This is the NCP email response ...... Case Reference 2165342 I am emailing today in relation to your recent experience while parking at Glasgow Long Stay Car Park. The safety of our customers and colleagues at all of our sites is very important to us. We have a dedicated team who monitor and review our car parks to ensure that we are doing what we can to minimise risk. We would draw your attention to our terms and conditions which state:- “You should be aware that the Car Park is open to the general public. We cannot guarantee that members of the general public will not enter our Car Park and cause damage to property and/or engage in criminal activity. Accordingly, you park your vehicle in the Car Park at your own risk. We cannot and do not guarantee the security of your vehicle and/or its contents.” With regards to CCTV coverage we would advise:- “We may install CCTV cameras in the Car Park at our discretion to assist in its proper running. We acknowledge that the cameras may act as a deterrent to criminal activity, but do not make any representation as to the coverage provided or guarantee of the security of your vehicle if CCTV is installed in the Car Park”. If the damage to your vehicle was caused by a Third Party then under the Highway Code they should have provided their details. We apologise that this was not the case. Unfortunately after looking into this with the car park manager, in this instance liability for the damage has been denied I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards Customer Response Advisor National Car Parks Ltd

@HelloNCP this is what happened to my car whilst in your Adams Row car park in Mayfair. Back window smashed and bag stolen. Appeared to be a manned facility but wasn’t. No one to help, called the call centre who said sorry, the t&c’s (that are obscured and so tiny you can’t read them) say we aren’t liable and you still have to pay! Won’t be using an NCP again.

The worst carpark ever!!!!!!!!! We decided to park in a secure carpark during our day trip to London, but how wrong were we. We got to Adams row, Mayfair NCP at Aprox. 3pm on the 25/8/2019. After spending the day in London we got back to the car about 10pm to find the rear window of the car smashed and all our belongs taken from the boot. We had about 4 bags as we were traveling back from a wedding the night before. We had expensive and valuable items/ clothes etc along with a MAC pro laptop. We feel like someone must have known that there were valuable items in the car( someone must be watching us). When we parked the car initially, we were fixing our belongings in the back of the boot (that’s when the bags must have been spotted). No other car was broken in to, made us feel we were definitely being watched. We didn’t leave any valuables in sight. How did they know to choose that car? Indicates we were being watched. We called the police, but obviously they didn’t come out, and they still haven’t been in touch regarding this!!!!!!!!!!!! We are still trying to recover things with insurance etc, but no luck yet. PLEASE DO NO PARK HERE!!!!!! THIS CAR PARK NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. We are completely devastated and upset.

Awful situation. Left stranded after faulty ticket/barrier. Security refused to lift barrier to let myself and a female driver in front out. Curbed my wheel trying to reverse out after ticket was chewed up and security bullying us into reversing into oncoming traffic as he’d turned off intercom and refused to help!! Disgraceful. Need investigating!

NCP Moor St Car Park. awful customer Service. Refused to help with faulty ticket/barrier, encouraging me and a previous female driver to make dangerous manoeuvres (reversing into traffic), caused me to damage rims, due to faulty machine/ ticket. Security wouldn’t lift barrier and switched intercom off. Disgraceful behaviour. Please investigate and retrain staff!

Parked in NCP's Birmingham "Londonderry House" multi-storey car-park, alongside the city's Queen Elizabeth Law Courts on a Friday morning. I arrived at 09.41am and left at 2.11pm the same day. The cost ? a staggering £24 for 4hrs 30mins. Outrageous rip-off

We chose to leave our car with the summer special valet car parking run by the NCP..... within the first hour of us leaving our car there it was driven into a lamp post and subsequently written off. It has been an absolute nightmare for us claiming compensation from either Gatwick or the NCP for the stress and anxiety it has caused us, not to mension the ruined holiday and hassle it has been to source a new car within a very short time scale before the courtesy car is taken from us. The customer service has been shocking all round, leaving me to feel as though i’m being blamed for the whole unfortunate incident. Please do not leave your car here if you want peace of mind that it’s being compently looked after whilst you are away.

Parked in Glasgow King Street for 1 hour and upon leaving I entered car reg number and time of arrival and was asked to pay 33.50. Paid using debit card and left car park. 2 weeks later Ive had a fine letter saying I didn't pay and could not find a payment on their records, only sending me photos of my car entering/exiting. I'm now in an appeal situation and the car park are saying I need to prove the £3.50 payment which Ive already shown them was paid on bank statement, I need to prove it was for this car park and that time, haha. the bank laughed at me when I asked them if they provide such detail which they don't of course. Ive now submitted it to the appeal place and wait to see what happens. by sound of other threads it may be rejected but I will refuse to pay this as I have done nothing wrong..... anyone else had this and do you know if they will continue to harass me or can I go anywhere else with this if appeal is rejected ??

We parked at the Covent Garden NCP London we pre paid 11am-11pm when we arrived back to our car the car had been broken into back passenger window smashed in and all contents take company laptop and our shopping from selfridges!! 3 vehicles had been broken into the same time! This is meant to be a SECURE car park and when questioning the staff on duty he said the main shutters were broken along with the emergency exits which ANYONE can access! They staff were as useful as a chocolate teapot and acted very shady! Currently having to go through insurance to see if our stolen goods are covered!

In March 2018 I stayed at Rumford street NCP carpark in Liverpool . I entered by Rev and put in the required payment for 2 hours (£7.60) but no ticket was produced . I tried to get my money back to try again but to no avail . I assumed that it wasn’t a problem as I had entered my reg but I did think it odd. Several weeks later I receive a letter saying that they had a video of meeting entering and leaving g the car park but not registering at the machine and we’re fining me £130 . They rejected my appeal. They are now taking me to court, the five having risen to £260 after 18 months ( I’ve still not paid as I wish to fight this in court) . My friend had exactly the same problem with this exact carpark a month earlier!! Their machine was mal functioning ( a common fault I hear). Had ANYONE had this same Problem with rumford st carpark???

Parking machine out of service Had to get on train Did not want to use phone to pay by saying out loud card number and security number to carriage full Created an NCP account to pay NCP website would not accept payment on the day only future parking Had to create a "DASH" account to pay there and then. Ran out of time on train as arrived at destination After a meeting created "DASH" account and paid for that day and a further 2 days as staying in London Too late parking ticket issued. Appealed, rejected as "there were machines present", even though I had provide a photo of the only "out of service" machine NCP said "we have not chosen to participate" with the ombudsman and must use POPLA but if You do then you must pay the full amount. Seems like they are really trying to dissuade appeals! So I paid and appealed BUT in the small print of POPLA's FAQ says if you pay, you can not appeal? Catch 22 - They win what ever!
