“StubHub would not allow me to sell my tickets. Their site said that I purchased my tickets through a 3rd party even though I didn’t. They wouldn’t let me sell the tickets through them without selecting a 3rd party, not StubHub. I have purchased many event tickets through them in the past but I will definitely not be using them again. $700 is too much to lose!”
“Never got the tickets we paid $700 for. Ruined our evening at the least - and we weren’t the only ones. At least three other couples at our show did not get their tickets, purchased thru StubHub. So basically, what went wrong was - we used StubHub. Never again.”
“NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM STUBHUB!!! I ordered tickets and didn't need them. They do not cancel orders even if you just placed it 2minutes prior. I politely say, It took me months to get an English speaking individual who truly understood the simple need to resell them.
I felt rushed buying the tickets as they had a count down timer...overall experience Was AWEFUL!!!! Nice customer service, but they only know 3 answers.”
“I listed my tickets on StubHub last night and they sold pretty quickly, I transferred the tickets over on AXS as soon as I got the buyers details. Then a few hours later I received an email saying they’ve sold again to a different buyer so I cancelled this as I only had the one pair of tickets. I spoke to ai chatbot and they said not to worry and someone will be in touch. I then had an email today saying I hadn’t contacted them and I have been charged £200. I called them as soon as I saw this email and they apologised said they would look into it and get back to me. I’ve just had an email saying that apparently I listed the tickets twice a few hours apart so I still have to pay a £200 penalty. 1. Why would I make a new listing for tickets I have already sold through them? 2. I don’t even get £200 from the original sale so I will be at a loss as I sold the tickets for a lot lower than face value as a change in circumstances means I cannot afford to keep them and attend. This now means I won’t get the original money and I won’t be able to afford food or bills the next few weeks.”
“StubHub lets sellers misrepresent their tickets, list them in the same section as "best available" and then will not refund your money when they arrive and are in a completely different section. They are using bait-and-switch methods and then if you contact customer service, they are argumentative, refuse to connect you to a supervisor, and then put you on hold repeatedly until you finally give up and hang up the call. I sent over the documentation (including a screen shot) of how the tickets were listed on the site, and were still told that it was my error and nothing that they could do for me. I understand now why so many people are filing lawsuits against them and why they have over 4,000 complaints to the BBB in the last 12 months. They are deceptive and standing firmly being loopholes to rip off customers.”
“I will never buy from StubHub again. I went to go to the A's game. I was not able to load my tickets. They told me I needed a hotspot on my phone and I never got in and I never got a refund.”
“I sold tickets to them . The event occurred but was shortened due to weather and I never received the money . The person who initially bought my tickets still has my tickets and his money and was able to go to the event for a half day . It has Taken three months with 15 one hour long calls . Unprofessional and very unhappy . Do not sell tiks to stub hub if it is an outdoor event .”
“After multiple reassurance that I would receive my tickets and travelling to the event cross-state, I was let down by Stubhub at the last minute . The customer service reps were of no help and they even refused to offer me refund after they could not deliver the tickets on the guaranteed time. I am never using them again would advise others to follow suit.”
“Was told 3 days before my concert that the tickets I had orders were not available and the ones they want to give me are horrible compared to the originals. Wanted my money back, but that is not an option. They're pathetic, use any other ticket place, but not this one.”
“Will never buy a ticket through StubHub again. I bought two tickets. They ensured me that my ticket would come through the day of the event. Ticket never showed. I got ready for the concert I was so exited about and wasn’t able to go. I got a refund but extremely disappointed I wasn’t able to attend the concert with my friends 🙁”
“I was scammed by Stub hub today 6/22/25. For the last week they told me my tickets would arrive by the event time today. I was told my multiple representatives to be patient and they would send me replacement tickets no less than 4 hours prior to the game if the tickets weren’t transferred. I drove 8 hours with 3 kids and no tickets. Every representative was unable to resolve the issue and it is being “reviewed by the internal team” for a week. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Four hours before the game they said I had to wait until two hours prior. At two hours prior they said now it’s 1 hour. At 1 hour, they said I had to wait until 30 minutes prior. Needless to say, I made the trip for no reason and lost $500. Now they aren’t offering a refund.”
“Beware of StubHub.
I had a truly appalling experience with their customer service yesterday. In March, I purchased two tickets for a June 21st show. On March 26, I received confirmation that the tickets were sent and accepted them via email, trusting they were linked to my account.
Yesterday, while driving five hours from Syracuse to Connecticut, I attempted to access the tickets—only to be told they’d been “accepted by a different email.” I have one StubHub account and one Ticketmaster account both linked to the one personal email account I have.
I spent hours on the phone with multiple StubHub reps and supervisors who repeatedly deflected blame to Ticketmaster—despite clear screenshots showing that I bought the tickets and could not access them. I was promised an “escalated case” and told to expect resolution via email. That email never came.
Eventually, I was told to call back at 7pm—an hour before the show—for help. After being placed on hold for 36 minutes, I was again denied a resolution. Meanwhile, the venue confirmed that my tickets were sitting in someone else’s account. We were hung up on when we relayed that information.
I lost over $300 in tickets, $90 in gas, $345 for a hotel, 10+ hours of travel, and the chance to enjoy the trip I had planned—all due to StubHub’s negligence and refusal to help. This was not just poor service. It was theft. And I intend to pursue it.
Has anyone else experienced this level of disregard from StubHub?”
“Bought tickets to the Clubs World Cub in advance, tickets never downloaded customer service said they were sent just fine, long story short we did not make it to the game.”
“Stubhub is so dishonest when it comes to canceling your tickets. When I purchased the ticket, it did not see final sales on the website. I called customer service explaining that I would be in the hospital at that time of MJ and wanted to see if I could cancel my ticket. and was told no that I should try to resell them and that final sale was on the website when looking at the website. The first page does not state final sale Sale. I need my money, but they refuse to give it back to me. I would never never never again alive purchase from StubHub. Linda.”
“I will NEVER, EVER EVER EVER….. EVER buy a ticket through StubHub again. Retrieving my ticket is extremely cumbersome! The third party was trying to track the fan seller to get my ticket and that person cannot be found. I am so disappointed, depressed and upset that I almost smashed my phone in anger. 😡
I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY TICKET and I’m outside the venue. 😡 I might as well just drive home. 😖”
“I had an absolutely horrible experience with StubHub, and I want others to be aware before trusting this company with their ticket purchases.
I bought tickets to a baseball game as part of a Father’s Day outing for my husband. Initially, we decided not to go, but we changed our minds last minute due to childcare changes. We drove two hours to Tampa with our 9-month-old baby, hiked nearly half a mile from the parking lot in the summer heat, and arrived at the gate dripping in sweat—only to find out our tickets didn’t have barcodes.
After being directed to customer service, we were informed that our tickets had been sold without our knowledge or consent. Yes, the tickets I paid for were sold by StubHub. We were left with no way to enter the game and no explanation for how this happened. It was beyond frustrating and ruined what was supposed to be a special day for our family.
The situation went from bad to worse when I called StubHub customer service. The first representative I spoke with was completely unhelpful and repeatedly referenced a parking pass issue that was irrelevant to the problem at hand. Despite my patience and attempts to clarify, he kept repeating the same thing and refused to transfer me to someone else or escalate the issue to a manager. I was eventually hung up on.
I called back and was disconnected again. Finally, after resorting to the virtual chat feature, I was able to get some help from a representative named Raphael, who processed a refund request. While I appreciate his assistance, the journey to get there was unnecessarily difficult and infuriating.
To top it all off, my StubHub account was hacked during this ordeal, and someone attempted to buy tickets in Missouri. This raises serious concerns about the platform’s security and lack of safeguards to protect customers.
This experience has shown me that StubHub’s customer service is unprofessional, dismissive, and ineffective. Their platform is not secure, and their processes for managing tickets are deeply flawed.
I will never use StubHub again and will make sure to warn others about this company’s incompetence and lack of accountability. If you’re considering StubHub, think twice—you may end up regretting it as much as I do.”
“Horrible!! I tried multiple times to contact customer service, after being told I would (via chat, of course, there are no actual customer support numbers) receive a refund. After 5 days had passed, they then told me the case had been reviewed and I didn’t qualify. What?!?!”
“They didn’t release my tickets until the last possible moment; causing me to be unable to sell them as I had a family emergency. I bought the tickets in March and didn’t receive anything til the night before the concert. Due to their “policy” I was unable to resell them.”
“I bought tickets to a concert in Newark, NJ and they offered a parking pass marketed as the best parking for the venue. It was not. It was an 18 minutes walk from the venue in a not so good part of town and on my walk there I saw 6(!) closer parking garages. When I went to StubHub about this I was waiting on them for 50 minutes only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do about it. I will not be buying from them again.”
