“An hour before my concert I had yet to receive my ticket, called customer service they we absolutely no help. Our only options were to get a refund or accept tickets higher up in the stadium for the same price as lower level tickets. Was also told there was a wait time to speak with management. We were so pressed on time that we had to suck it up and take the replacement seats. Will never use them again.”
“Stubhub,
Since we never received our tickets, or a “link” for alternate tickets, a refund is obviously due. The fact that I spent hours on calls with Stubhub yesterday morning to ascertain whether we would get our tickets, then driving to the venue with our large group (6 people, 2 babies, and my wife who has severe dementia), and trying to find tickets at the last minute, made our experience very upsetting. At every stage, Stubhub misled me and ruined my day. I have used Stubhub 100s of times in the past without problems. Yet, this whole transaction seemed different. Twice, the seller offered me alternate tickets which were completely unacceptable. I have never seen that happen before. At that point, Stubhub should have let me know my tickets were gone, refunded my monies, and let me move on. Instead, I was left twisting in the wind to the last minute thinking that Stubhub was going to give me better seats.
I hope this message gets received and that some manager/supervisor reached out to me to discuss my situation. I am a senior citizen who tried taking my whole family and grandkids to a game that I love. Stubhub ruined my day.”
“The buyer guarantees are a complete scam. If your event is rescheduled, they don’t help you at all. We paid $100 in fees to stubhub, and then the event was rescheduled. Our only option to get rid of the tickets is to resell them at a lower price since the event was moved from Saturday to Tuesday and stubhub will automatically filter out tickets higher than their recommended price. We are out roughly 65% of what we paid because the event was rescheduled instead of cancelled. That is the loophole. Thanks for nothing stubhub. The only guarantee is to get screwed if something happens out of the customer’s control. Customer service agent actually told me to try and sell them for more to make up the difference, knowing that is impossible. Also works out nicely for them to get to collect fees all over again when everyone has to dump their tickets.”
“Horrible experience. Bought tickets for in advance and the seller never sent the tickets. StubHub tried to let us know. They would guarantee the tickets but offered us tickets in the 500 level when we bought tickets in the 100 level close to the field. They are guarantee is an absolute joke”
“They assured me the seller is a reliable seller and assured me I would have my tickets day of event. Never received them. They had to sell me ones they had in their inventory and were worse seats. I purchased my tickets 2 months in advance to assure we would have good seating. They kept telling me to wait hour by hour and had a difficult time contacting the seller. Never buy these guys they make to many problems and will stress you out till the end.”
“Never received tickets. Completely ruined a dream band experience. Still no resolution, call center will not transfer me to a manager. I am engaging legal counsel and will never buy through StubHub again. Buyer beware.”
“I bought 4 tickets only to be told by can’t staff that the seats did not exist. When reaching out to Stub Hub as that was the only contact information I had, I got no response. So not only did we spend a lot of money on tickets but also took time off work and travelled to event venue. A very very expensive trip for a show we could not even see. This company is not trustworthy at all.”
“Misleading Parking Pass Listings – Beware
I recently purchased a parking pass through StubHub expecting it to be near the event venue, as is typically implied. To my surprise, the pass was for a lot located 30 minutes away from the venue, with no clear warning or disclaimer provided during the purchase process. When I contacted customer service, they insisted this was not misleading.
I strongly disagree selling parking passes this far from the actual event location without properly disclosing the distance is absolutely misleading. StubHub is supposed to be a trusted platform, but experiences like this erode confidence. At the very least, they should clearly label these listings with distance or shuttle information to avoid misleading customers.
Until this is addressed, I’d strongly advise others to double-check the location details before purchasing anything through StubHub”
“They misrepresented the parking garage which they also up charged me $32 for. I called the customer service who refused to give me there name and id number and told me sales was final, very rude and unprofessional. Pictures show that pass was for Honda center but the actual location is a hotel garage an hour away.”
“StubHub has provided me with the most egregiously horrible customer service experience I have ever had. I have sat on the phone with customer service for over 2 hours now trying to get access to the tickets that I paid for. They keep giving me the runaround and won't cancel my transaction even though the tickets that were sent to me were invalid. I will never use StubHub again in my entire life. The pure ineptitude that I have dealt with is unbelievable.”
“Don't even want to give them one star. They are thieves. I sold my tickets and something went wrong on their part. In order to sell them you have to put the bar code numbers in. If I put in the barcodes wrong, the sale shouldn't have gone through. I got a notice the night before the concert that the tickets I sold were fraudulent. They did not release the tickets back to me so o couldn't sell them and then told me that I owe a fine on top of it. I called. Spent over an hour on the phone was told I was going to get a refund. 10 days later I get an email stating that they are not returning my money. So here I am on the phone for 20 min so far with them telling me I won't receive a refund. Concerts are not cheap. I should be entitled to my money back, especially when this was not a mistake on my part. I usually go through ticket master. I have no idea why I didn't this time.”
“Rather disorganized. Bought Manalow tickets, overpaid as we have no choice these days. Advertised as electronic tickets then told paper, then told electronic, then told again paper, express mailed, forced to buy insurance due to zero stubhub trust. Paper tickets show up then notified to access my electronic tix. Ordinarily no big deal but at the more than 3x face value cost nervous they had zero clue. Think Im gonna switch to Vivid.”
“Bought tickets to a hockey game: 1. Ten minutes before puck drop still no tickets. 2. Contacted them, and they said seller is no longer selling, after I had email confirming sale. 3. Tried to get another ticket per their "guarantee" but took 30 minutes, by that point period was over. 4. Requested refund. No response from first agent. Second give it to me. 5. Refund is less then I paid due to exchange rate changes. 6. No luck in a resolution either. Ruined my evening.”
“I bought tickets in January to see Bruno Mars in Las Vegas. A person called Stubhub and changed my email and had all my personal information. I called Stubhub several times and no one would give me an answer. “ it’s with the investigation team”.
I went through this for two weeks.
Well I didn’t see Bruno Mars and I traveled from NYS. They were supposed to call me and no one ever did. Stressful and upsetting.
I would give a zero if I could.
I will never ever use Stubhub again.”
“Bought baseball tickets and parking pass through StubHub. Game tickets went without a hitch. Parking pass never arrived. Communication said to be patient and that pass would arrive even if on the day of event. Never did. Had to park elsewhere. Called later and they claimed the pass was sent(never landed in my email), so guess what, no refund. Beware. I won’t use them again. Also, only virtual agent was available to discuss. Pretty hard to convince someone of the issue when they are hiding behind a screen.”
