“We purchased two tickets for a concert in Boston. Due to a personal issue I had to cancel the trip. The StubHub recommended listing the tickets in their sales site. No news for months. Just one day before the concert they texted that someone wants to buy the tickets. I immediately went to the StubHub web page and explained them that I am going to use the tickets myself and the tickets are not on sales.
Today (one day after the concert), I was just charged for the full amount of the tickets ($360) for penalty. Penalty for what? They said I did not delist the sales. Ok I did not de-list but when they contacted me I immediately let them know that I am keeping the tickets myself. What kind of harm did I make to the StubHub? Betrayal of their sales promise to potential buyers?
If they charge this ridiculous penalty, should not they inform the customers like myself this ‘fine’ print in a more explicit way beforehand?
This is a complete rip off!”
“Terrible. Purchased tickets almost 2 months ago from stubhub. The day of the event, this is now sold out, they advised my tickets are "no longer available". Stubhub is a scam.”
“I purchased tickets from StubHub and the show got canceled. Per the original ticket vendor, per the venue and per the artist himself the show was CANCELED. StubHub refused to acknowledge the show was canceled and repeatedly tried to tell me the show was “rescheduled” despite concrete evidence that it was in fact , CANCELED, and refused to refund my $250. Disgraceful. Their customer service will simply try to talk you in circles and are not helpful whatsoever. I will not be using StubHub ever again.”
“We spent about $10,000 to fly to Pittsburgh for the Steelers/Texans game. We bought 10 tickets, and airfare/vrbo. I checked the site a day before the game and saw that the seller would not release the tickets. We were then given an option to get a refund or find alternative tickets. Well we were moved to a different section, and higher up... YET STILL PAID THE SAME AMOUNT. Stubhub sent me a $30 voucher. That is an absolute slap in the face. I will NEVER use Stubhub again!!!!!”
“We purchased the ticket for a performer that we really wanted to see. They were sold as ORCHESTRA section 300 row AA. When we got to the venue and brought the ticket up on our phone the seats changed to Section 300 Row Y and seats 5 and 6. Some how we went from the first row in the venue to the third from last row. When I contacted StubHub the next day they said we had to call them the day of the event and since we used the tickets nothing could be done. The sales practices of this company are very misleading and they hope that the customer will end up at the venue with not enough time to have to fix the issue.”
“I was charged a 950 seller error because after a ticket was sold it remained live (even though it said the sale was closed and taken off line and this was confirmed by a worker via phone), i tried to dispute and they never even got back to me. I then got a random 500 charge not connected to any purchase or sale, that they cant even find. They said theres nothing they can do for either. They then asked if i could fill out another dispute and the link wouldn't even work.”
“It was HORRIBLE for both parking and tickets.
For parking We get there to 6653 N 95th Ave, Glendal, Arizona at 1638, 1 hour before game time and they tell us the parking lot is full. How's that possible if you sell tickets for it, you should know how many spaces there are. They sent us behind them to a hotel parking lot which was fine but upon trying to leave the arms wouldn't work and we were all stuck inside until someone came and lifted the arm up for us all to get out. Also the ticket they give you says make sure your license plate is in the little space for it but there's no way to add it on, so I had to call them to add it on there so I don't get towed and to get back out without double paying.
Buying tickets was confusing as well. I purchased my tickets on here but they were delivered through Seat Geek so I had to download that app. Then had to make phone calls to make sure tickets were legit because it doesnt tell you they may come from somewhere else.
So all the extra time that had to be taken with stuff that could be told to you up front and making sure you could add your license plate would have saved emails, waiting on hold for an hour twice and having to deal with their AI bot would have been saved. It was stressful and killed the excitement before game day being worried.”
“If I can do worse than 1 star I would. I purchased Club tickets and was promised they would arrive about 3 hours before the game at 430pm. It was 640pm and the game started at 730. I contacted Stub hub MULTIPLE times within the 3 hours and was told MULTIPLE times that if I did not received my tickets within the allotted time that I will get replacement tickets that’s are equal or better. So lo and behold I did not received the tickets and StubHub sent me ticket replacement options….the only options they sent me were nosebleed balcony options. What a slap in the face. Out of stress I had no choice to pick something because the game was about to start. Stub hub refuses to credit me the difference and refuses to reimburse me for their mess up because I was forced to pick tickets or I would have missed the game. This is horrible customer protection that they promise multiple times. Not only that the customer service representative was rude and threatened me.”
“Payment expected on a certain day and then they say it may take up to an additional 7 days. Their customer service team is rude and arrogant and barely speak English. Last time I do anything with them”
“Parking pass was inflated in price and a very long walk. I will not be purchasing a parking pass via StubHub again. Cost was 75% more than if I bought on my own.”
“Stub Hub is the worst online company to sell tickets. They not only lowballed me for my tickets, but they also charged me an additional $320 so I could buy ransom people tickets. They would not respond to my never ending plea's for a refund they pretty much said - I should have known. If “I had known” I would never used it site. What a rip off!”
“I sold tickets on StubHub in October 2025, which the buyer used for a concert the night that they bought the tickets. StubHub has refused to pay me for the ticket sale and after providing appropriate documentation to them that the buyer received the tickets, StubHub has become non-responsive. I don’t know if they are having financial problems that would lead them to slow walk paying Sellers for their tickets, but I urge buyers and sellers to be aware of this site.”
“I bought a parking pass to the Texans game on January 5th. It was in a commercial parking lot. The whole thing was a scam. When I pulled in the parking attendant told me that someone had already checked in with my pass and that I would need to pay him $15.00 cash for another spot. He had a picture on his phone of my ticket that someone else used as proof-LMAO. I had my 12 year old son and didn't feel like a dispute. I paid and while leaving I saw two of them showing the picture to two other people parking. It was a total scam and I bought them through STUB HUB. BEWARE!”
“Scam me for $1500
SCAM! Don't buy your ticket here! Especially if you are looking for soccer world cup tickets!! Bad customer service! No refund! No exact date to get the tickets! No immediate booking # or tickets.”
“I purchased parking through StubHub. When I received a message afterwords it stated that the parking was 2.5 miles from the venue. I called customer service and let them know that I needed to park in a handicap spot in the main lot. I had paid more an it cost to park in the main venue lot to park in a lot far from the venue that I could not use. I therefore had to pay to get into the main lot in addition to the money I wasted on StubHub.”
“Absolutely unacceptable – avoid at all costs
I purchased 4 tickets through StubHub and never received them.
I followed up all week via email and online chat and was constantly reassured that my tickets would be delivered. Even on the day of the event, while travelling to the venue, I contacted StubHub multiple times and was repeatedly told “the tickets will be sent shortly”.
Only one hour before the event started, after endless chasing, I was finally told that there were no tickets. They had either sold them to someone else or double-booked them.
This is beyond disappointing — it is grossly negligent and feels like a scam.
Because of StubHub’s failure, we had to turn around and go home, with heartbroken, disappointed children, as the event was completely sold out and there was no way to replace the tickets at that point.
Do NOT use this platform in any way.
You cannot trust them, their reassurances mean nothing, and they leave you stranded at the last minute with zero accountability.
Worst ticket-buying experience I have ever had.”
“This is the worst place I've ever bought tickets from. I bought tickets in Charlotte for the Warriors game, and I couldn't get into the stadium because the tickets never arrived, and the stadium staff had to send me to even worse places than the ones I had originally purchased. DO NOT BUY TICKETS FROM THIS SITE, because they will leave you with a million problems.”
“I purchased tickets fro the upcoming guns in roses concert my tickets were pit tickets they sent me general admission tickets I contacted them they told me I would receive tickets that were equivalent to what I bought the ticket price has now went up and they will not offer me tickets they only want to give me a refund. But it was their mistake that made all of this happen”
“A joke. High fees. The rockets app did not load correctly. Couldn't sell my ticket. No way to communicate with seller. Find some other way to get a ticket.”
